App search going back to start everytime?

When I am looking at a particular genre in Apps it says see next 25 and you may go through 3 or 4 pages
before one catches your eye. I click to read about it but when I go back it sends me to the first app all
over again instead of the last one I was looking at.

You could always try force quitting the app in the multitasking bar, if not then try restarting your phone (power off, then back on), and if those dont work then you can try resetting your phone as a last step (holding the sleep/wake button and home button for about 5 seconds).

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.

Release the Buttons..
If no joy... Try a Restore...

Have you reset since the upgrade? Hold down the sleep/wake button along with the home button until you see the apple, then let go.

When I hit free then install when I download apps it goes back to free

See if any of these basic troubleshooting steps help at all.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Close all apps and restart. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

It turns off many apps at random times.
Plus, it won't let me go to the next level of Plants and Zombies! I've played the same level about 15 times... it goes all the way through the level and then cuts out when it is giving me extra points for my lawn mowers. I can't get my movies, music, etc to sync through iCloud on my ipad2. In settings I go to "store" but it won't let me select "on". It just goes back to " off" everytime

to enable icloud you tap "settings" -> "icloud". Make sure you sign in with a valid iCloud Apple-ID. Then you can turn on the various features that are part of iCloud.
Video or Music Syncing is not a feature of it. Instead you use itunes in the cloud which let's you re-download purchases. This however depends if the service is available in your country.
Worldwide only purchased books and apps are supported for free-of-charge-redownload on your devices.

Apps not going back onto my phone

I had bought a few apps a few months ago and I updated my phone and they all got erased. But they are still on my itunes and will not transfer to my phone. And, when I go to the Apps store it wants me to buy them again. Why wont they transfer to my iphone? And, why do I have to buy them again?

What have you tried to get them on your iphone?
Are they compatible with the new software on your iphone?

IPhone's iPod crashes after 1 song and goes back to start page

After the 3.0 OS upgrade I have had several occurances of the iPhone's iPod crashes/stopping/resetting itself after playing 1 track. The first time I resolved it by re-syncing it with iTunes, however, it's not repairing the problem now.
Anyone any suggestions?

I am experiencing this same problem. I had trouble loading an audio book on last night, which i cancelled mid way through

Try toggling Settings > iCould > Contacts off and on and see if it then works.
If it doesn't then try closing Settings completely and then re-open it : from the home screen (i.e. not with Settings 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Settings app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
