App Shows as Installed in "My World" but no Icon on Main Screen

I downloaded and installed "Weather Eye" and "Solitaire" from App World on my Playbook. Both apps show as "Installed" in My World. However, the icons for these apps don't appear on the Tablet Home Screen so I can't launch them.
Is there something I have to do to get these icons to appear on the home screen?. Or perhaps alternatively have I configured the Playbook to prevent this from happening. If yes, what setting do I have to change?

on Playbook press power button and both Vol + - buttons for 10 seconds to reboot it.
and see if it persists.
or you can delete the app and reinstall it again after a reboot

Interesting. It was 24th January last year when I bought my App Store 09 version. (My first foray into the App Store).
I don't remember whether it updated the original or replaced it but the only version in my App folder is 09, so it must have been the latter. Thanks for the star.

When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.
The Mac App Store (MAS) can see its apps installed on mounted partitions and ext/int HDDs. Is there a backup of your previous installation mounted on your Mac with these two apps? If so, that is why the MAS sees them as installed.
Two ways to get the apps on your reinstall of Mt Lion;
1. Locate the apps on the mounted drive and drag & drop the apps to the Apps folder on your Mt Lion boot drive
2. Dismount the mounted drive with the apps, so the MAS doesn't see them and download them again from your list on the Purchased pane

Opening a new file in photoshopcc and the file name is displayed but no white working canvas. you can see it as a layer in the layers panel and if i draw on the grey area i can see int on the layer but not on the main screen.

CC Apps showing not installed on Mac OSX 10.8.4

Can't seem to find a solution for this – when viewing the CreativeCloud menu under Apps, it says 'You have not installed any applications yet" They were showing up a couple of weeks ago, but now shows not installed. I've installed the new AAM and restarted the Creative Cloud, no change. What I did notice is that some apps updated using AAM instead of the CC. I would rather not download the entire suite again to make this work – any help here?

Widows 7 and 8 (64 bit):
Rename OOBE to OOBE_old (it's in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe.)
Relaunch the browser.
Go to https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud.
Sign in with your Adobe ID and password and download the CC Desktop App.
Windows 7 and 8 (32 bit):

I had to uninstall CC and the APPs ... after installing it again some of them are showing as intalled and are not.

Uninstalled apps showing as installed on ipod

I have an ipod 4 and i uninstalled one of my apps and when i go to reinstall it it shows as "installed" it is clearly uninstalled and rebooting has done nothing to help.

Have you used the spotlight search to try to find it?
Is it hidden by Restrictions? Settings>General>Restrictions

If you tap that open spot does the app run?
Go to the Home screen and swipe to the left most screen which has the search feature. Type in the name of the app and search. Is the app found using search?

I downloaded Pages from the app store, but the installation hung right when it got to the end, so I rebooted my iMac. A "SyncDiagnosticsData.tar" appeared on my desktop, but the Pages app was nowhere to be found. I went back to the App Store to reinstall Pages, but it says the app is installed and it's not. Any idea why this happened and how I can fix it? Thanks!

Although the Pages app was absent from the Launchpad, I eventally thought to look in the apps folder and found it there. I deleted the app and reinstalled it from the App Store. Works fine. Thanks!

HT4623 I have an apple ID account with $25.00, I purchased an kids game app {plants vs zombies}, the app shows up as purchased and downloaded but I can't get it to start. I'm using an Hp laptop with Windows 8.

I hav an apple ID account with balance of $25,00. I used .99 to buy gameapp for grandson. We also downloaded a freebie or two. The games show up under the apps purchased. However I can not get the games to start using my HP laptop with windows 8. Any suggestions on how to play games purchase thru the Apple App Store but played on android deices.? Tkx

You can only use apps from iTunes on iPhone devices.
If you want apps for Android devices then you'll need to download the app on the Google Play Store on your Android devices.
If you don't have the Google Play Store you could dowload if from Google.
Windows 8 also has there own App Store.

HT203167 App upgrades and install keeps saying waiting but nothing happens

I have an touch ipod. Since getting the new ios6 software my app ungrades and downloads are not working. It keeps on saying "waiting" on my home screen but never actually starts to install it. Oh and since getting ios 6 it doesnt prompt me for account nr.

If the downloads are stalled or "waiting" - try these suggestions.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

Just installed firefox updates today and now several icons are not showing up. The link works but the icons are blank. Especially annoying when needed on certain sites like eBay.

Why are the icons not working? I depend on the icons on several sites to tell me the status of orders etc. and with them not working now, I am in a jam. I dread the thought of going back to Explorer.

Thanks one again. I know you helped me the last to. I do have the Deja Vu font set in my folder. I downloaded and the last time. So I don't know if there is supposed to be more or not, but those were installed with Windows-XP after my reformat.
This is really driving me nuts. as I've done several re-formats on my computer and several friends computers and even upgraded hardware so I am not necessarily a software or programming expert, I am somewhat advanced when it comes to computers in general and can usually diagnose the problem but these font's are the problem and they never were before.
I did see in another forum that if you had a Dell Computer and did the Microsoft update for the onboard video card driver that it could be the culprit, but I have that disabled being I have a much better graphics card so the updates from Microsoft for the onboard video weren't installed.
It' a Dell Dimension 3000 with an Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller so I don't believe it is the culprit being it is disabled. The actual video card that I am using is a PCI Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT with 1 GB Memory. And I didn't have any problem before.
I appreciate the help. But still can't get things to work. Live Help Chat doesn't open for another two hours so maybe they can do "Remote Access" or something and can check setting and help me. But if you come up with other suggestions, they would be greatly appreciated.

Hi again, Since you have Norton and SAS, there may be a conflict between them.
What version of SAS do you have Installed? Even the Free version has Realtime Protection that would be running at the same time that Norton is. And unless you Disabled both of these when running the MBAM scanner, you may not have received a clean scan from MBAM.
What type of Malware was found and which program found it? Let me know this.
At this time, I would suggest that you Disable Norton & SAS. Then update MBAM and run a full scan, or at least a quick scan.
Close all browser windows before doing this, so there will be no interference from Norton & SAS.
Do that first and then let me know the results of the MBAM scan.
I'm trying to determine what is causing the Shockwave Flash Object not to Install.
