App shuts down when moving files

After updating the files, when I try to move them back to their folders, every time I try to scroll down to select the folder to move them to, the app shuts down.

Hi,
We have fixed the issue and are waiting for apple to review/approve it.
Thanks for your patience.

  • Ibook shuts down when moved

    When moving it will sometimes shut down when put down ever so gently. Any suggestions?

    Hey chaz and Welcome to Apple Discussions,
    When moving it will sometimes shut down when put down ever so gently
    It would help to know exactly which iBook we're talking about here, speed and size.
    In general, if you're only on battery power when this happens, I would check the battery lock they can get loose and need tightning. Dirt/corrosion there can also cause this symptom.
    Also the battery interconnect board, Corey Arnold problem U28, possible short in the inverter cable.
    Do some more diagnostics; move the display, leave it on with the display flat on the table an the lower section up, pull the power lead and try to disturb just the battery.
    Post back.

  • Video app shuts down when I delete a video

    When I delete a video, the entire "Videos" app shuts down. When I re-open the app, the video is gone, but its a real pain.

    Hi there,
    You may want to try force closing all open apps and resetting the device as an initial troubleshooting step. Take a look at the articles below for more information.

    It seems that the system is shutting down after moving the unit from its base. Crashes often.
    Power problem? Require a motherboard change?

    Hi jharinstein,
    The issue could be related to system board as you may get it check with the service center.

  • IPhone 8.3 music app shuts down when I try to open it

    Since updating to 8.3, both my iPhone 6+ and my iPad 3 will not play music from my playlists.  The music app shuts down and reverts to the home screen each time I try to play music.

    I went to Genius Bar in an attempt to resolve this issue.  They suggested putting my device into restore mode while connected to my computer and restoring the software.  This did NOT resolve the problem.  It now appears that it is only the "Recently Added" play list that shuts down the music app on both my iPhone and iPad.  If I play from any of my other playlists, the problem doesn't occur.

  • I am having trouble with safari and most apps shutting down when I'm in the middle of stuff what do I need to do to resolve this?

    I am havering trouble with safari and apps shutting down on me all the time what can I do to resolve this problem. Thanks :-)

    Make sure you have enough free space on your iPad. With iOS 7 it is recommended that you have 15-20% of the storage space on the device free.  For a 16 GB device that is 2.4-3.2 GB free. For a 32 GB device that is 4.8-6.4 GB free. For a 64 GB device that is 9.6-12.8 GB free.
    Also try a reset. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

  • Apps shutting down when I try to print

    Installed 10.4.11 about 2 weeks ago. All seemed to be fine. Suddenly, whenever I try to print, from any app (text edit, Word, Preview, etc), I get a few seconds of the spinning ball, and then the app crashes with a 'shut down unexpectedly' message.
    I've tried re-booting, fixing permissions, repairing the hard drive from the install disk, and re-installing 10.4.11 from the combo drive, all to no avail.
    I did have a copy of my 10.4.10 system backed up on an seperate drive, and when I boot from that, printing works fine...
    Any suggestions?

    Try Reset Printing System, a menu choice in Printer Setup Utility.

  • Issue with Adobe Prox shutting down when combining files

    I am having an issue with Adobe.  I can open files no problem but when I click to combine multiple files into one pdf, as soon as I try to add the files, it automatically shuts down?

  • Illustrator shuts down when moving an object

    When I try to move an object with my mouse, the entire Illustrator program shuts down. I have Illustrator CS6. I can only move things with the arrow keys on my keyboard. How can I fix this problem so I can move things without Illustrator shuting down?

    mrm,
    If restarting fails to solve the issue, you may proceed down the following general list.
    You may try the following (you may have tried/done some of them already) and see whether it helps (the following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file; 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences):
    1) Close down Illy and open again;
    2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
    3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
    4) Move the folder with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
    5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy);
    Even more seriously, you may:
    6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool, and reinstall.

  • Shuts down when moved

    I'm having a very bizarre and confusing problem with my Macbook (White, 2 GHz, 1 GB RAM) which started about two days ago.
    Basically, when I move the Macbook, it shuts off. At first (two days ago) it was only happening when it was tilted to its left side. Now, if it is sitting on a desk/my lap and I so much as attempt to lift it *note: i'm not even really lifting it off of the table by more than a milimetre* it will shut off completely.
    The first time it happened and I rebooted, I would get a perpetual beachball over the spotlight icon and the Airport card was apparently no-where to be found. Booting into safe mode and clearing the cache files seemed to fix everything, though. In subsequent movement-induced-shutdowns, this has not happened.
    I don't know if this is related, but when I plugged in the USB cable for my iPod in the USB port next to the Firewire port I saw an orange flash/light in the firewire port.In an attempt to reproduce this orange flash/spark, I discovered that this too, will trigger the Macbook to shut down **however, it will not always cause it to shutdown**. This happens regardless of whether or not the Macbook is running off of battery/plugged in.
    Obviously this is a bit disconcerting, since I can't carry the laptop anywhere while it's 'sleeping'. In fact, I can only use it on stationary objects! So ... arg.
    I'm not sure what to do, or if this is fixable by me, or if this has been mentioned before? Any help ?
    I suppose I should add that i've never dropped it or caused it horrible harm, and up until this point I have had no issues with it. I believe, if I am deciphering the serial# correctly, that this is a week-26 Macbook.
    Thanks for any help,
    -ben
    Macbook Mac OS X (10.4.7) 2.0 Ghz, 1 GB RAM

    My daughter's Macbook has begun to experience intermittent shutdowns for no apparent reason. We purchased the machine new in June. I have been wading through the do-it-yourself "help" literature on the Apple website, but not being a Mac person myself, I feel like I am on a bike mounted backwards. I did find a notice posted Sept. 13 telling users of Macbooks experiencing intermittent shutdowns to contact Apple technical help - that took me on a loop back to the same tech help website page. I notice there is another thread addressing shutdowns, which I will now turn my attention to in search of answers. In the meantime, is there anyone out there reading this reply who can offer advice, help?

  • App shuts down when launching

    I have an Ipad and WHen trying to open an app such as Pinterest or Netflix, or Facebook, the app appears to start but shuts down and reverts to the homepage.

    Simple things first. Reset your iPad. Press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

  • Apps shutting down when four or more open

    Sounds like the old days. Moved from an old G4 to a new Mac Pro. Installed my apps from the old system into the new from the install disks. Only moved files from the old system. Noticed today that my apps will not open when there is more than four open. Continue to close when I try to open them. This is with all apps not just Adobe.
    Any thoughts?
    2 gb of memory with 200gb available.

    I personally would wipe the hard drive and start over. If you have a memory test tool then I would use that to make sure the memory is good. Here is my pref way to install applications:
    1) Wipe the hard drive
    2) Install EVERY application via installer or DVD/CD disk (if you have applications that don't have installers or a DVD/CD disk then that might be your problem)
    3) Make sure you have the latest version of all the applications you are installing and do all updates before running
    4) The only information you want to bring from your old mac is personal files/media etc. But don't port over applications from the old mac
    5) Install and update the common mac apps and run them. Make sure you don't receive errors. Then start slowly installing lesser known apps. If one of the apps haven't updated in a couple of years I would be concerned about compatibility.
    6) Restart your mac after updates and makes sure you pick up the latest updates.
    7) Install apps in this order:
    a. Apple applications
    b. Adobe applications
    c. More popular 3rd party applications
    d. Less popular 3rd party applications
    Again make sure that these applications are supported and you have the latest versions of them. I always am watching 3rd party applications to make sure of regular updates. If they don't update often then I would avoid them.
    Hope this helps.

  • Emoji Problem: Iphone 5s apps shut down when using emoji!! Any solutions?

    When I click an emoji that I want to use the app I am using immediately shuts down. I can reopen it but the emoji use will shut it down every time. How do I make it so I can use them again!?

    I had a customer with this issue and I tried to just close out of the texting app by double clicking the home button and closing the whole messaging application out. After that did not work I tried to do a complete reset (settings -> general -> reset -> erase all content and settings) to the phone and wiping it clean and even with it being wiped and nothing being on the phone the application still didnt work at all. Then I did a straight restore (different form of doing a reset on the phone done by holding the home button down and plugging the phone to the computer) . So I ordered a new phone for the customer and it came brand new in the box. When I turned it on and went and tested the emoji application it worked fine. After doing a back up and restore on the phone the emoji started doing the same thing when it came back on after restoring from a back up. I then did everything I did with the first phone on the NEW phone and with nothing on it tried to go to the emoji's and it AGAIN kept closing out. This is a software glitch of some sort and can ONLY be fixed by an update. I've been a phone tech for 2 years so I have a really good round about technical issues on phones and on androids and apple products. Most of the time an update always fixes the "little" (big to some people) issues.
    Hope this helps a little bit!
