App Store and Credit Card

I managed to redeem a app store 25 dollar card and it says i can only use it on Itunes India.
Now i have 2 questions
1) How can i verify the credit that i have through the app store?
2) I try to download an app that is to be paid for. Now it requires billing information. Is it normnal for it to ask for billing information despite the fact that i have an app store credit. I just want to make sure that it will just deduct the amount from my 25 dollar credit as opposed to charging it on my credit card.

In my experience they (Apple) will just place a hold on your credit card for $1 to make sure the funds are there. But should not charge it since you're using a gift card. They force you to enter a credit card.

  • How to create iTune or App Store without credit card for my existing Apple ID without create new Apple ID or email?

I got 2 Apple ID and the first time to I use it to iTune or App Store, a box will pop out and telling me this:
"This Apple ID has not yet been used with the i Tunes Store. Please review your account information."
Then, I click on the button, "Review". Bla bla... but ended up, I must provide a credit card in order to complete it.
I do not have credit card, so I search 'How to create iTune or App Store without credit card', same link and same tactic only valid for New Apple ID.
So, it seem no other option to create iTune or App Store without credit card for existing Apple ID, right?

  • Mac App Store - No Credit Card

    Hello,
I have been trying to figure out how the **** I'm supposed to accept the new T&C of the Mac App Store without a credit card. I do not and will not own a credit card but the option to select 'None' is not present in the Mac App Store.
    Any Help? D:

Same problem here.... I don't have a credit card and never will, So, I purchased a $15 iTunes card. I installed 10.6.6, launched the App Store, signed in with my Apple ID, read the T&C which did not specify that a credit card was needed to redeem the cards which it does say are accepted forms of payment. Agreed to the T&C, continued to the main page of App Store and clicked link for iMovie '11.
Price listed as $14.99. Clicked 'Buy', logged in, page loaded with input for credit card, gift card code and previously registered account info. Entered the gift card, clicked continue....
Clicked again when prompted to redeem gift card and was returned to main page of App Store - No download of application occurred.
Clicked link for iMovie '11. Clicked 'Buy' presented with "Insufficient remaining store credit" and only option is to log in(again) and enter credit card info.
In App Store Help under "If you're having trouble", followed these instructions: If you’re still having trouble, click Support in the Quick Links section. Upon clicking 'Support' link in quick links of App Store, this page comes up:
"Hmm, the page you’re looking for can’t be found." NICE!
SUMMARY: Redeemed $15 iTunes card. Account showing $15 balance. Click to purchase $14.99 application. Unable to purchase and download app. Support link bad. No readily available contact information for App Store support to be found.
Needless to say, I am EXTREMELY disappointed with the "Mac App Store".

  • How can i register app store without credit card

how can i register app store without credit card

You need to follow the instructions on this page when creating a new account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534
If you don't use those instructions when creating an account then you will need to enter credit card details (which you should be able to remove after entering it) before the account can be used to download any item from the store.

My friend purchased the I phone 4s in US, Now iam using it in india. I cant able to login App Store without Credit Card

If you plan on buying anything from the App Store, you need to register a credit card with your Apple ID.
This has nothing to do with your iPhone.

  • Apps store without credit card

    Hi all,
I'm a newbie in mac, I'm having trouble to update my apps at apps store.
When I want to update my apps, the system asked for a credit card number. Since I do not have credit card, I can't update my apps.
Is there a solution for me to update my apps without providing credit card number?
    Thanks a million

  • App store demands credit card information now, so i can't get updates anymore, why is that?

I bought an iPad from Apple using my credit card, the App Store on my phone seems to have noticed the purchase and is demanding I give it my credit card info too so I can continue making easy purchases there too, problem is that I don't want to make purchases from App Store yet, but now I can't get updates for the apps that I am using. How can I get updates without giving up my credit card?

I haven't suggested you are dumb, indeed I only think people are dumb if they don't ask about things they don't understand.
I was asking why you changed your Apple ID to see if you really needed to, it sounds as though you may not have needed to.
You can change your personal email you use with your Apple ID, but you can't change your iCloud address. If you do this you can continue to use your old Apple ID and without causing problems with purchased content.

  • How to get free apps on app store without credit card

Trying to get a free app but credit card declined and cant get it! HELP

    Hello bigmike11,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
iTunes Store: Changing your payment information
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1918
Change your payment information on a Mac or PC
Click to open your account in iTunes (you may need to sign in with your Apple ID), or follow these steps:
Open iTunes and click iTunes Store.
Click Sign In and enter your Apple ID.
Click your Apple ID and select Account.
From the Account Information page, click Edit to the right of Payment Type.
You can see the payment methods that the iTunes Store accepts in the Payment Type section. If you want to remove the payment method, select None in the Payment Type section. See what to do if None isn't showing or you can't select it.
Change your information and click Done.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

  • HT2534 there is no way to use app store without credit card details ?!

I tried to register a new apple id for my friend and there is no way to use it for app store without entering credit card details ?
He has a kid and as you can imagine - how to give a kid account with credit card in it ?!

The instructions on the page that you posted from work if you are creating a new account (the instructions won't work with existing accounts) - I've just tried it and I got the 'none' option.
i.e. on my computer's iTunes I logged out of my existing account and found a free app in the store and clicked on its free 'price' :
I then clicked on 'create Apple id' on the popup :
Agreed to the terms, filled in my details, and got 'none' as a payments option :

  • App store without credit card number

When I try to download a free app in app store, I have to configure iTunes which insists on a credit card number. The menu items "Discover" and "None" are note shown (unlike my guidance, see below).
I'm definitely not willing to provide any credit card numbers. How to solve this problem?

So, if an Apple ID was already created I have to provide a valid credit card number at least once in order to sign in which I can disable after signing in? Great! However, I will never provide any credit card number via internet.
I guess, I have to create another Apple ID and another e-mail adress - really great
And you have an issue with providing a credit card number to Apple for about 30 seconds... why?  It's an encrypted server, and the data would be there for about as long as it takes for you to type a few things on the screen.  Or you can use iTunes gift cards.
Seems you're a bit paranoid for no valid reason.

  • How can I use app store without credit card.... Because I don't ve it....

Plx help me... I can't download any app from the app store.... Plx tell me how cn I make an account without credit card....

If you already created an Apple ID and you are trying to finish it without using a credit card - you may have problems with that. The key to creating the ID without a credit card is to download a free app first - before you create the ID. You will be prompted to create the ID once you try to download a free app.

  • How do I run Mac Apps Store without credit card number?

    Dear all,
some years ago I started an Apple ID account, but I never used it to purchase apps. Recently I tried to download free apps using Mac Apps Store, but I was asked to complete my profile and to add my credit card number, apparently without it I cannot continue the procedure. What should I do if I do not intend to give my credit card details?
    Thank you,

  • "App Store Beijing" Credit Card Fraud

I've searched online to see if anyone else had a recent credit card number stolen for several $100+ purchases from "App Store Beijing"
I'm trying to find out if it's even relevant to the Apple App Store, or if it's just a fake company name.
I recently had several charges to make bank account of $103.20, which I quickly noticed and contacted my bank about the incident... they've currently frozen my account and have sent me a new card.
Not saying that it's tied with the incident, but I find it ironic/amusing that I recently visited a local chinese take-out for the first time just two days prior.

Having the same experience here this morning, already called my bank, that's where I found out it went to Beijing, on my online banking it said APP STORE B with no country, two charges a piece for $52.xx and $103.xx.  The latest apps I have gotten were Cut the Rope and Cut the Rope Free, Paper Toss, Talking Santa, AFV, FaceGoo, Pacman, MathBumpHD, Sketcher, Pet Shop, Netflix, and Talking Tom apps, can you tell I have a 7-year-old that plays on my phone.  I do have in-app purchases turned off and have for some time so I don't think that was the case.  The bogus purchases did not show up on my iTunes purchases though.  Went in and took my credit card info off of my iTunes account, not that it is any good now, and changed my Password.  Will start using iTunes cards when I want to purchase something, what a shame though, I thought Apple's security on their apps would be pretty tight.
