App Store can't find apps

Even when I type the exact name of the app, App Store can't find apps I know worked very recently.
Example: Shoeboxed Business Card Reader
If you search it in App Store you get absolutely no response. It's a product. They have a link to it on their website. But, if you alternatively go to their website and try to get it from iTunes:
HootSuite is also a widely used app. Or, it was. It's also not in the iPhone search for apps, and won't let you install it from iTunes either.
If you go from the website direct link:
It's not in the Canadian store either, by the way.

Hi,
I have the same problem, I have been in touch with the Apple Support but they have not given to me a time to the problem be solved, it seems to be a general issue

  • App Store can't find any updates? No response from server.

When I open iTunes I get a message saying "a new version of iTunes is ready for download". But when I click download/update it takes me to App Store where it can't find any updates. It keeps saying "Didn't get a response from the Software Update server (198.168.1.7)." every time I check for updates. Please help! I know there is a new update for iTunes and I can't update it.
Please if you have any suggestions or ideas or explanations please let me know! I would greatly appreciate it!!!
    Thanks in advance.

The system is configured to download updates from a private server, not from Apple. That server isn't working or isn't reachable. If you're bound to a network directory server, or if you're behind a firewall that doesn't allow downloading updates directly from Apple, your network administrator has to solve the problem. Otherwise, proceed as follows.
    Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    /Library/Preferences/com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.plist
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder…
from the menu bar. Paste into the box that opens (command-V), then press return.
A Finder window will open with a file selected. Delete the selected file. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Restart the computer and try Software Update again.

  • App Store - can't find "SuperPages Mobile"

If you've found it, please say if it's iPhone only or if it works with iPod touch as well.

This app is currently only available as a WebApp, not as a standalone app from the App Store. There are other yellow pages apps available, though. Here are 3 of them:

  • Buying on MAC App Store - Can't find company details on receipt?

    Hi,
I'd like to buy some apps on MAC App Store. I need them for my work as I'm self-employed in my company. I'd like to use my Apple ID. How to get the invoice including my company name, address and VAT number?
There is no such data on the receipts I've already recieved.
    Thnx

    Send in a ticket here:
    iTunes Store Support
    http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html
They have the opportunity to send you invoices, especially VAT type.  You may wish to give them your VAT number though, as without it that may default the purpose.

  • App Store can't search Apps

I expected App Store to work exactly the same way as on my iPhone. Unfortunately it does not. On my Mac it can't search for any of the Apps I have already got on my iPhone. Can some please explain why and how to resolve it?

iOS apps don't run on a Mac. Mac apps don't run on iOS devices, such as an iPhone. The only way that you would find the same app for Mac is if the developer has specifically developed an app for both platforms. They would be separate purchases.

  • Clean install & Mac App Store (Can't reinstall Apps)

    Hello Everyone,
I just did a clean instal of OS X Lion and after signing into the Mac App Store, it is telling me that programs are already installed (which they are not). If I try to update or anything it tellls me these are associated with another account.
"To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it."
How do I get around this?
    Regards,
    CLM

Just to confirm, you can boot into the Recovery Drive by holding down Command R when restarting.
When you select to reinstall OS X, what happens?
    Fix for missing MAS
It's possible #1 will do the trick, but you might need to do the additional steps in Keychain access.
    1.  Delete the files /var/db/crls/crlcache.db and /var/db/crls/ocspcache.db. These can be found using Finder’s Go >; Go To Folder menu (Cmd + Shift + G). This resets the cache of accepted certificates in the system. It doesn’t remove them, it just forces the system to rebuild the caches upon restart.
    2.  Open Keychain Access (/Applications/Utilities/Keychain Access). Select Certificates in the Category picker on the left side. In the search bar, type in the word Class. Look through that list, and find any certificates that have a blue + symbol over their icon. These are the ones you need to modify.
Select one that has a blue +, and hit Command + I. Click the disclosure triangle beside the “Trust” list to show the list of permissions. Now, what we need to do is to set this certificate to use the system defaults. However, for some reason, when you select it, it doesn’t save. So what you need to do is this. Under “Trust”, where it says “Secure Sockets Layer (SSL)”, change the dropdown menu to say “No Value Specified”. Then, close the window. It will ask for your administrator permissions. Then, open the info pane for that certificate again. Under “Trust” again, now set the dropdown that says “When using this certificate:” to say “Use System Defaults”. You can then close out of the info pane, and enter your password again. Do this for any of the certificates that have a blue + on their icon. There should only be one or two at most.
(Note: I had to toggle the settings before it would stick)
    Restart your system.

  • I looked in app store: can't find a basic name, address, phone contact manager

I need another contact manager  (separate from the one that comes with the iphone 4S)
Any ideas?  need following fields:  name, phone, email, and a note section for general info.

Why do you need a separate contact manager?  All of your requirements are met in the iOS contact app.

  • Can' connect to App Store, Can' connect to App Store

Since the new update I am unable to send messages from my iPad. Messages sent from my iPhone show on the iPad but the ones from the iPad go nowhere.

Check iTunes and see if you have a pending/stalled download e.g. Podcast, Books, Music, Movies or iTune U. Finish off the download and you should be able to update.

  • I can not find "app of the day" from app store on my ipod, how can i find and download it?

i can not find "app of the day" from app store on my ipod, how can i find and download it?

It is possible that the app was removed from the App Store. If so you will not be able to get it back, unless you have it downloaded on your computer.
If you had downloaded it before and it is still in the store, you can go to the App Store app on your iPod and go to the Updates tab. Then you tap on "Purchased" and see if it is available to download from your previous purchases.
    Hope this helps!

  • Hello please hepl me in my problem in apple id, i cannot connect to my ipad mini in itune store and app store because they find me a credit card but i dont have credit card. what can i do now? i need an answer for this problem. thank you

hello please help me in my problem in apple id, i cannot connect to my ipad mini in itune store and app store because they find me a credit card but i dont have credit card. what can i do now? i need an answer for this problem. thank you

I would suggest that you buy a visa or mastercard gift card and put a few dollars on it and use it to access the store.  Just add money to it before you want to buy something from the store and it will act like a normal credit card for you.

  • IOS 7 - can't find apps in the cloud but not downloaded at App Store anymore. Why? How to download purchased apps?

I can't find apps "not on this iPhone" anymore at App Store. Where are my purchased apps from the cloud?

First, make sure you are signed in to the iTunes & App Stores:
Settings > iTunes & App Stores > enter your Apple ID and Password > Sign in
You can access purchased apps here:
Open App Store app > Updates > Purchased

  • If i delete an app, how can i find out what app did i delete

My son delete an app. Can I find out
    what app did he delete?

    Not exactly.
You can open the App Store app > Purchased > Not on this iPad and you will see a list of apps you own that are not installed on the iPad. I believe the newest ones are listed first.
