App store category went missing

Hi,
I seem to have a problem.
I just purchased the New iPad.
And when browsing through the app store, I can't seem to find "games" among the different categories?!
Not in the Top list nor in the sektion "categories". When browsing on my iPhone I can find the games category?!
I can still find games when searching for them.
Why is this, and how do I get the games category back for my iPad App Store?

Open up Categories and then try a Reset [Hold the Home and Sleep/Wake buttons down together for 10 seconds or so (until the Apple logo appears) and then release. When the screen goes blank power On again in the normal way.] It is absolutely/appsolutely safe!

App Store icon went missing!

I restored my iPad2 yesterday, and the Apps Store icon was there. Then I synced all the apps, music, books, and re-arranged the icons through iTunes, placing the App Store icon in the main "dock". But now, the icon went missing... Any ideas what might have happened? I haven't tried syncing it again...

Duh....... It's kind of embarrasing..... I got it back..... I had placed a restriction on purchasing and deleting Apps (in the General Settings), so that made the icon "disappear".... Must be the "blonde" in me!!! ;P

My App Store icon is missing from ipad and won't re-install? You can't delete it so where is it?

If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

My App store icon is missing after ios 7 update.

I updated to ios 7 and now my App Store icon is missing. There is one page that only has one icon on it, so I am not sure if other stuff is missing too. Other problems I have had:
All of my contacts disappearing and then reappearing.
My privacy settings for photos being changed
not able to add events to my calendar
When I search for something in safari, I click on a result and it will not open the link.
Any solutions?

App store icon gone missing/Web Content Filter - Apple Configurator

I am using Apple Configurator to manage the iPads at my school. I changed the settings on my school's profile, within Apple Configurator, so that the App store was not available. The App store icon disappeared and all was good. I decided to change the settings back, to allow the App store, saved the settings and refreshed a group of iPads. The App store icon is still missing and it doesn't appear that my new settings have been applied. I quit Configurator and tried again, but no success. I am running Configurator 1.5 and the ipads are running iOS 7.1.
Also, I have unchecked the "Allow use of You Tube" button because I want You Tube disabled, but Configurator still allows the use of You Tube through Safari. Is there any way to disable the use of You Tube without using the ridiculous "Web Content Filter", that when activated, limits adult content (good), which seems to include a lot of valuable educational sites (bad)? To me the only other option available seems to be to tick "Specific Websites Only" and spend the next year typing in all the possible sites that might have educational merit, ergo, my use of the word 'ridiculous'. Is there something I am missing?

IOS 7 App Store review dates missing

I notice since updating to IOS 7 that the dates for reviews are no longer appearing in the App Store app. They still appear in the reviews in the iTunes Store app.
Is this supposed to be gone with the update? If so, it's a step backwards... funny how I've relied on something as simple as the date of someone's review when deciding whether to purchase an app or not.

I wrote this to itunes feedback after several mails written to apple. I got several mails back but they sounded more like a computer generated feedback. There is not ios app store thread in here so only ipad users read this post...very clever i think to not let customers unite.

Install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo
That will reinstall the App Store for you. It's ok to do this even though you are already running v10.6.8.
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed.

Apps Store category section is blank

Was downloading games on mac osx lion 10.7.1 and went on the app store and went through my purchases and they were gone

I was downloading games and then went through my purchases because 2 of 3 games was paused and i couldnt unpaused so i deleted them on launchpad and went through purchases and they are gone and when i find them on the app store they say the money and not install and this also happend when i had been downloading mountain lion plz somebody help me

Dont worry found the prob its that i accidintely hide them and so i went to my account went to hidden purchases then unhide them

I updated my Ipad 1 to OS 5 yesterday and now I cannot access the Apps Store. My Apps Icon is missing off the page. I have tried going to settings and at the store put on for the Apps Store, but nothing happens. I have tried rebooting and syncing and nothing.

I assume that you've checked all your homescreens and app folders for it. Have you hidden it by turning Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps 'off' ? If not then does it show when you search for it by name on the spotlight search screen (swipe your first homescreen to the right) ?

HT2476 I recently had the hard drive replaced on my Macbook Pro; now the app store icon is missing from my dock

When my hard drive was replaced by Apple, I had to re-install iTunes myself. Then I noticed that there was a question mark on my dock where the App Store Icon was supposed to be. I did a software update, and now the question mark is gone. How do I get the App Store Icon back on my dock?

More Sort Options in App Store Category Views

I would love to see the ability to sort apps within the various categories of the app store by more than just "Name" and "Release Date"
How about adding these:
Highest Rating
Recently Updated
Price
Most Purchased
I'd like to see a bit of grouping ala iTunes
Group by Release Year
Group by Rating
Group by Price
free
< $5
$5 - $10
etc...
Is this too much for the App Store to handle?
Is there a reason not to provide users with ways to find things faster or easier?
Is there a different app with these functions that I should be using (sorry dry humor)
