App Store crashes when browsing purchased apps

I am surprised that that I don't see this on here yet. I have a 4g Touch and just upgraded to iOS 6. Now when I try to browse my previously purchased apps, the App Store crashes on me. This happens on all three of my iPod Touches.

Actually, there are a few discussions about this already.
I have the same problem. I don't think we can do anything about it right now.
If you need to access that feature soon, I might suggest restoring back to iOS5 until the next update.

  • App store crashes when terms of service is required. And I can't install apps unless I do. How do I fix this?

I've had this problem before but before I just couldn't open the app store at all. I have restored and updated to iOS 5 to try to fix it but now the app store crashes when I'm about to install an app. When I click install app, it brings me to my home screen and shows it loading. Then it says that there are new iTunes terms and conditions. It has the options cancel and agree but I can't install the app unless I click agree. The problem is, when I click agree it brings me to the app store again but crashes right away. I can't get any apps on my phone. Does anyone know how to help this?

    - Restore from a backup that was make before you added the Restrictions passcode. If you restore from a backup made with the Restrictions passcode the Restrictions passcode is also restored. Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod. . Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.
    - If you are up to file manipulation see the following but it may not work for iOS 6.1.3 or iOS 7

  • App Store crashes when purchases is selected.

After installing iOS 6 to my iPhone 4S the App Store crashes every time I select the purchased button in the updates tab. Has anyone else had this issue and know if apple is working on a fix?
Also on a side note the other day I couldn't move any app icons, when I tried the GUI would reboot. Fixed it be manually moving the app in itunes.

I just got a iTouch 5G and same issue. Fresh out of the box, and not able to access purchased app on store. Sadle Apple doesn't offer any other way to access previously purchased apps other than on the iOS device. This seems to have been an issue for people since iOS6 was released and still hasn't been fixed. I've tried everything from restart, restore, change date, kill app store, register, authorize. Nothing is working.

  • App store crashes when I try and "Accept" I-Photo after clean install

I previously had Iphoto as part of the bundle with my OSX Lion Macbook Pro.  I then perfromed a clean install and upgraded to OSX Mountain Lion.
The app store has clearly rembered that I own this software as instead of offering me the option to "buy" the software I am offered the option "accept".
However when I click this button it promts me for Apple ID credentials and then nothing happens.   The wheel in the top left corner of the app store simply continues to roll and roll.
On some occasions when I try and accept the software the App store crashes.
    I am running OSX 10.8.4
    The machine is:
15 Inch Macbook Pro Early 2011
    2.2GHz Intel Core i7
    8 GB 1333 Mhz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 3000 512 MB

If you're having problems with the App Store you might try this:
1 - enable the Debug menu in App Store:
    open the Terminal application.
copy the command below and paste into the Terminal window:
defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
    followed by Enter.
    launch App Store, login.
2 - select the Debug ➙ Reset Application option:
    3 - try again.

  • Mac app store error when downloading small apps

The mac app store fails to download any app that is 1-7 mb in size. But it works fine with large app downloads

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store could prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app could be "Final Cut Pro." Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
    1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
    kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    2. In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
              File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
              Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu of search criteria, initially showing Kind. From that menu, select
              Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select
              Raw Query
as the criterion, then click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of the menu of search criteria. That's where you enter the raw search query. Click in that box and paste the text you copied earlier by pressing command-V.
    3. The search window will now show all the App Store products that are installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
    4. At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
    5. Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method.

  • App Store crashes when trying to access past purchased apps

    Hello,
I just bought an iPhone 4s, when i try to have access to my purchased apps through the Update tab in the App Store app, it loads for a few seconds then it crashes and i get back to the springboard.
I tried using the same Apple id on an iPhone 4 it works flawlessly.
The rest of the app store works very well on the 4s, i can download applications (both free and paid ones) when i look for applications that i already paid for, it detects it and instead of displaying the price tag it shows the 'Download' button
Any ideas on how to fix this ?
    Thanks

Please sign out of the App Store, then log out or restart the computer. Test. If there's no change, see below.
    Back up all data.
Quit the App Store if it's running. Force quit if necessary.
Please triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
defaults write -app "App Store" ShowDebugMenu YES
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing the key combination command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear below what you entered. You can then quit Terminal.
Launch the App Store. There should now be a menu labeled Debug in the menu bar at the top of the screen. From that menu, select
    Reset Application
    Quit again and relaunch. Test.
Optionally, remove the Debug menu by quitting the App Store and entering the command below in the same way as before:
defaults delete -app "App Store" ShowDebugMenu

  • IOS 6 App Store Crashing when trying to view Purchased apps

i up graded my ipod touch 4th gen to IOS 6 and it won't let me see my apps in the app store and it won't enable my airplay?!?!?!

I'm having the same issue with my iPod Touch 4.  The upgrade process to iOS 6 went pretty smoothly, but when viewing my purchase history, the app thinks for about 30 seconds then crashes back to the home screen.  My iPad 3 takes about 30 seconds, but allows me to view my purchase history.
I probably have somewhere between 250-300 apps in my history.
I didn't have this problem before the upgrade to iOS 6.  Is my iPod Touch 4 just not powerful enough anymore?
Maybe Apple's telling us, "Hey, if you want to easily view and download your purchased apps, do I have a deal for you.  Let me show you this: the new iPod Touch 5 for only $299.  It'll solve all of your problems.  Whadda say, pal?"

  • Ipad 3/iphone 4s crashing when loading purchased apps from app store

Every since OS 6 my ipad 3 and iphone 4s crash when trying to load purchased apps from the app store. This has never been addressed by Apple other than them saying 'they are aware of the issue'.
After trying every conceivable suggestion from this board, nothing works. I don't think Apple will ever fix this since so few are affected.
Just wondering if anyone ever found a way to get this to work.

Can you download the games in iTunes on your computer?
Do you have any restrictions set up in Settings/General/Restrictions that prevent you from installing apps or certain apps?

  • App Store crashes when trying to upgrade from Snow Leopard to Yosemite

I'm running Snow Leopard v. 10.6.8. I've installed Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 so that the App Store appears. I am now attempting to upgrade to Yosemite but every time I click "Get" in the App Store, I get the spinner of doom and App Store ends up not responding so I have to force quit. I've submitted the crash report to Apple. Here's a link to a Gist with the crash report.
A possibly related issue is that every time I put something in the trash and try to empty it, somehow there are lots of new files created and it takes a very long time to empty. In order to isolate this issue, I put one single item (a PNG) into the trash, and when I emptied it I saw the message "Deleting 4 items". When I put 2 PNG files, it said "deleting 5 items" and so on. When attempting to delete an application file (or files) it appears to create thousands of files before deleting and takes a very long time to empty the trash. I have turned on "show hidden files" using the relevant terminal command, and so I can see that there are no hidden files at the time that I attempt to empty the trash.
    Any help much appreciated!

  • App Store Crashes When You Click Genius Tab

After updating to iOS 6, when I click on the Genius tab in the App Store app, the app crashes.  Is there a workaround for this issue?

In cleaning out some files on Google Reader, I just read an article in TUAW about Feedback.  While they may not answer your question directly, you can be sure that they WILL read your feedback and will certainly look into it.  Try going to this link:  http://www.apple.com/feedback/
I just submitted this question, and pointed out to the powers-that-be there, that other people are also having this problem, as evidenced by the feedback here.  So maybe - just maybe, we'll start to get some action on this topic.  adgray
