App Store Customization?

Well I'm a little bummed out. I noticed yesterday there was a new "more" tab in the app store on my device. When I woke up this morning, it was gone! Granted, the more options tab really only let you organize your buttons on the bottom bar, and I believe gave the extra option of redeeming codes (which I don't honestly know if you can do still, I've never tried redeeming anything through the device).
I know it sounds like a pretty shallow complaint, but re-organizing that bar was nice for me. And now, my buttons are all out of their original order (I can't stand the update button not being on the far right). I really hope Apple brings it back, but if they don't, I'd really love to at least have the option to re-organize the bar to what it was for a year. I'm so trained to where the button locations are, now I'm all thrown off, something just feels out of line.

It would be nice to have one though...

In both the ACV and a published app this folio showed that "Please update your app..." message when trying to download/view the updated version of the folio. When I got the first update message I was viewing the folio, then I affirmed that I wanted to download the update so it took me to the library view. After trying to initiate the download/update it shows the "please update" error message. I tapped "OK" and then it let me download and view the updated folio. Basically it's showing an error message that doesn't apply. We know it isn't a v23 folio trying to be viewed by a v22 app because my folio version is not even v20, and also because it still lets me download/view the update after it gives the warning. When I've made the mistake of trying to view a newer folio with an older viewer in the past it doesn't let me download/view the new folio, it just gives the error message. Every time I've observed this false error message I've been viewing a folio when I got the initial alert that an updated folio is available. This may or may not be significant/relevant.

How do I get restrictions to block inappropriate content in the app store.

How do you set restrictions so that they work? Here is my problem. Your age restrictions do not block inappropriate content in the app store but it blocks the Netflix app from functioning and removes it's icon alltogether. This is rediculous. Apple continues to be behind the eight ball at customization. Apple continues to limit the user. PC magazine rated the ipad as the best new kids toy but did PC magazine know that Apple promotes adult content in the app store and that it's age restrictions do not protect children from viewing them?

Content is completely controllable in the App Store as well as iTunes.

Can't install firmware - OSX Mavericks App Store Update...

App Store locked up so I had to force quit and now I can't install firmware updates.
Below is the install.log data -- can anyone assist?
I'm not sure if I have to clear out and delete a temporary download file
to get this to work again?

Please disregard, I rebooted and then App Store was able to fix itself and finish the update. Thanks!

App store apps and deleting them

when you buy an app from the mac app store. Is it self contained? If you remove it, does it automatically take with it any preference files, etc..or does it leave them behind? Just curious, as I haven't used it yet and was thinking about using a few free apps, but want to know what happens if I want to delete them..

I cannot find app store in notification center

in mountain lions notification center, i can not find the app store for notification

That finger swipe trick does work. And I guess you are saying the App Store will notify even though it's not a visable selection in the group of notifications you can customize settings for. I've also noticed with Time Machine that it doesn't see my previous backups on my external USB drive. That's ok because I haven't found much wrong with Mountain Lion. Nothing that might require a different approach or an app update.

PSE9 on Adobe Store & App Store?

I noticed that PSE9 is in both store, but different price: in App Store $79.99, in Adobe Store $89.99. Is there any diffrences between the two versions? And I wonder why the one in App Store is even cheaper. Apple takes 30% of the purchases (I don't know what's on Mac App Store but I do know developers for iOS Apps can only get 70% of the money. Apple takes the rest) and the licence seems to be able to use on every Mac signed in with the same account, while the one in Adobe Store has a strict licence restriction.

All the tools will work but customization, such as adding actions may prove difficult.
Just to point out that this is speculation based on a particular thread here. I've not found it corroborated elsewhere, at least not yet. So maybe yes, maybe no, for this. (It could also be a problem with finding the right locations in Lion, where many folders are now hidden that used to be readily accessible--not enough information yet.)
The point I wonder about and have not gotten a response about from adobe is how updates to the raw converter will work with the app store version. Program updates would be handled through the app store's updating process, but I don't know if it would be possible to manually update the raw converter if there's a problem with the direct download version.
EDIT and Apple takes no responsibility for troubleshooting programs just because you buy them via the app store. Ask any mac developer who sells that way, or take a look a the support forums for programs like pixelmator, which are only available through the app store. They will help with purchasing problems and downloading problems, but that's about it.

Is the Pages in the mac app store the same as the one in iWork?

I like the look of Pages as a change from MIcrosoft Word. wondering if I should pay $AU129 and get the whole iWork package, or whether it's better to get the individual products at $AU $21 on the mac app store.
If there is any difference, how significant is it?

Example:
somebody has Lion on a partition, Snow Leopard on an other one (or on an external bootable HD).
With the iWork package, he must install several copies of the Frameworks.
With the MAS ones he may work without them. The apps installed on the Lion partition would be usable fromthe other system.
This is why I feel that the MAS versions are a best choice for standard users.
For me, having the FrameWorks out of the apps is interesting because I customize some resources like the names of the Spreadsheet functions. Apple refuse to put accents where they are supposed to be because Excel doesn't use them. As some names embed accented chars and other don’t it’s boring so I edited the resource and now I know that accents are required by every functions. With Shift locked we get these chars with a single keypress so it's really comfortable.

If you have iOS 4.2.1 or later on the iPod and there was version compatible with that version, then you should be able to get a compatible version by:
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.
