App store for iTouch and OS?

If I download something on my iTouch from the app store can I also get it on the OS app store? I downloaded a dictionary that is awesome on my iTouch, which doesn't work anymore and I would like to get it for my computer.

No, I've never developed any software but that's hardly the point. I am the consumer. I guide the market for developers.
It's quite simple really. I bought an amazing product to study Japanese . And now that I do not have an iTouch anymore I tried to find a good one from the Android Market but none were as good as the app one. So the iOS app store came out and I was like "killer! I can get my dictionary back for when I'm doing homework." but no, I have to pay for it again.
This argument does serve a purpose, it's to inform other forum readers about this greed and to hopefully integrate the two so they are both avalaible. I buy some 2 dollar app on my desktop app store and it syncs with my iphone, etc.
If you dont want this argument to continue, heres a strange idea: don't respond. The thread will die in the masses if there is no response. Or are you just looking to add more posts to your account?

App Store for iTouch

I dont know if this has been posted already. I watched the presentation on the iPhone Roadmap 2.0 update and it says that they will also put the app store on the iTouch and i was wondering where do i get the update? In iTunes or do i go under the iphone tab and try to fill the form out when i dont even have a company, an iPhone, or more than 1 person.

Watch the presentation again - seems you missed the part where it was announced that the SDK was coming out, but v2.0 software would be available "_in late June_". At that point, presumably the v2.0 update will be available for purchase via iTunes, just like the January Software Upgrade was (it was announced that it won't be free for iPod users, but will be free for iPhone users).
As a side note, Apple will want you to buy this, obviously. You'll get lots of reminders in iTunes, unless you dismiss them. With the January Upgrade, there were lots of reports about users being unable to dismiss the upgrade purchase reminder, not the other way around. When the time comes, you won't have any trouble finding it!

I have changed the apple id on my settings to reflect the current account for all our apple products.
But this is not changing when I go to the App store to make a purchase or install updates.

Again, this only affects you if someone *redownloaded* content with a different ID. In my case, I emailed iTunes Store support, explained the situation, and they reset the counter. I recommend you try the same
If you read discussion boards, this is a significant change from a year ago, when Apple told people in the same situation to go f&$# themselves. Clearly it's dawning on them that this is a stupid policy, and my guess is if people keep complaining they'll change it to something more reasonable. Remember, it wasn't that long ago you couldn't re-download content at all.
Apple can't really afford to play hardball on this. Sure, the hardcore fanboys will always say "Thank you sir, may I have another" whatever Apple throws at them, but the rest of us will just switch to Amazon, which has none of these restrictions.

Sorry, but I don't believe there is way that you can. You'll just have to make sure to read the minmium requirements of any App you are about to purchase to ensure that it is compatible and will run on your iPod Touch running iOS v3.1.3.

I don't know where you even want to upload this software. The only way it can be downloaded to a device is through the iTunes store. Do you even know what you want to do?

iPhoto is no longer available from the Mac App Store. Update to 10.10.3 and use Photos.

After reading your post, it sounds like you are experiencing an error while downloading apps. You may want to consider restarting the device first, and then resetting if that does not work. This article provides detailed instructions for Restarting, and Reseting:
Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset
How to restart
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on the top of your device until the red slider appears. Then drag the slider to turn your device completely off.
After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo.
How to reset
You should reset your device as a last resort and only if you can't restart it.
To reset, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

What kind of noise?
The only things I can think of that make noise are fans and disks. Fans usually will not cause the computer to shutdown as you describe. My guess is your disk drive died. I hope you made a backup prior to start the ungrade.

I've paid $ 3,99 for Xcode for Snow Leopard. Now there is a new Xcode for Lion, so I downloaded the new one but the installed continued to be the old one. Now App Store says "Installed" and don't allow me to re-download Xcode. How can I proceed?

I've paid $ 3,99 for Xcode for Snow Leopard 12 days ago. After installing Lion I saw there is a new FREE Xcode for it, so I downloaded the new one but after installing automatically Xcode for Lion the Developer folder contained the old one. I deleted the old Xcode but the App Store says "Installed" and don't allow me re-download Xcode.
How can I proceed? I'm guessing whether this problem will occur each time I buy an application from App Store.

Yes, that's righ, Xcode installer was in the Apps folder. I assumed it had been automatically installed and the installer deleted after installation (the same way as Lion is installed).
I tried also the procedure for redownloding applications, and MAS showed both Xcodes (Lion and Snow Leopard) and OS X Lion. We see that buttons for Lion and Xcode for Snow Leopard say 'Install' but Xcode for Lion says 'installed' because there is an Install Scode in the Apps folder.

Why not have a section in app store for iOS 4.3 and earlier?

I LOVE "remote" app and airport.
Since i have had to restore all my ipods for various reasons, i am now no longer able to download the remote app since apple only supports iOS 5 or later. They have instantly rendered my whole apple setup useless. They are basically telling me that my purchase of their hardware was a mistake and that they only care about people who purchase new things. Which is a great reason not to purchase new things from them.
What i don't understand is why they simply can't put a version of remote (or any app) in the app store for iOS 4.2.1. and earlier? And allow developpers to support their apps for earlier iOS. So little effort to leave 4.2.1 apps in the store. They could even create a special section based on iOS.
Now they are forcing me to consider alternative solutions, of which there are many. I simply would never have bothered to do this before since i was so satisfied with apple products. This is a failure from a business and marketing perspective.

Backing up your current apps helps prevent this loss in the future. Earlier iOS apps are becoming increasingly difficult to find. You may want to look at VintApps, new in the Apple app store, that makes this much easier.
