My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

You need to go to MAS and purchase Lion for $29.95; the download will take considerable time because it is a very large download. I'd suggest that when the download is finished and before you install it to copy the installer to a safe place (external hard drive or another folder) so you have a copy if you need to reinstall.

Buying in the Mac App Store for the enterprise

We're looking to buy an app in the Mac App Store (iBarcoder) for our graphic designers using Macs, and after read this article on Macworld.com, we're not too sure how to go about it.
Does that mean I could buy one copy of an app and install it on every Mac in my business?
No, the license you agree to when you enter the Mac App Store says that app downloads are for Macs that you personally own, and that's a license for personal use. Apps that are intended for professional use are licensed for you or for a single computer used by several people. While there's no technical impediment to you installing them on multiple Macs at work, you'll be violating the license agreement. It's the same scenario as if you buy a single-user copy of iWork and install it on ten Macs at work—you can do it, but you're violating the license agreement, making the act ethically questionable.
We know about the volume licensing that Apple offers, but it seems as though it's only for education and not for the enterprise. Surely creating a new Apple ID for every Mac isn't the best way to do this, right?

HT4479 Credit card security code not accepted when trying to sign into App Store for the first time

I have just signed up for an Apple ID. I want to download Twiter for Mac from the App Store. When I try to log in, it tells me this is the first time I have tried using this ID and asks me to register my credit card details. I have entered all the information they ask for but it tells me my security code (CVV) is invalid. Is there any way to fix this, or to sign in without giving my credit card details?

Why does the can not connect to App Store for the iPad Air? I click on popularity after searching and something pops up saying can not connect to App Store.

Trying to log into itunes & app stores for the first time..

When I type in my apple id and password, I receive the following message.....
This apple id has not been used in the iTunes store. Tap review to sign in, then review your account information.
When I try to verify my account information, card details and address for any future billing, I am told my card has been declined?
I have tried a different card and receive the same message. I am not buying anything, just verifying my account.
What should I do?

then card details will need to be entered before the account can be used with the iTunes store.
What sort of card are you trying to use as your payment method, credit or debit ? Debit cards don't seem to still be accepted in all countries, and even where they are is appears (based on some posts on here) that not all work.
For a card to have a chance of being accepted it needs to be registered to exactly the same name and address (including format and spacing etc) that you have on your iTunes account, and have been issued by a bank in the country where you and your iTunes account are. If it is then you could check with the card issuer to see if it's them that are declining it, and if not then try contacting iTunes Support (these are user-to-user forums) and see if they know why it's being declined (but you might not be able to use a debit card) : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management

If you don't have it then you will have to reinstall Lion:
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks or Yosemite without erasing drive
Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.

I can't find the mac app store on my imac. i am running snow leopard, and i have run "update software" several times. what's up?

I am trying to upgrade to Lion. I need to go through Mac App store to buy it. I need to get the Mac App store icon in my dock. I have run Update Software several times, trying to get the Mac App store onto my iMac, but with no luck. It doesn't show up in the dock, it doesn't show up in Finder under Applications, and it doesn't show up when I search in Searchlight for App Store, Store, Mac App Store, etc. What am I doing wrong?

You arne't necessarily doing anything wrong.
Install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo
That should reinstall the App Store for you.
Restart your Mac after the combo is finished installing.
You should see the App Store icon in the Dock and be able to access from your Apple menu also.
Make sure your Mac meet's Lion's requirements

"Unknown Error" in the App Store on my iMac.

I get an "Unknown Error" when trying to purchase an app in the App Store on my iMac. I do not get this error in iTunes on the same Mac and using the same username/password or in the App Store on my iPad. Very frustrating. I've read some other threads and tried to delete the networkinterface.plist thing, but that didn't work either.

Google Earth is made by Google and they choose not to distribute their app that way. The App Store is convenient but by no means compulsory for developers.
EBay is a website, not an App.

Why isn't the app flashcards on the app store for computers instead of tablets

I really just saw the app on a IPAD spent alot of money for a IMAC and would like to use the same software, but I guess software isn't available across the board as of yet? Would be happy to purchase said program if it were to come out. I am studing for my Cisco certifications and to have a powerful app to help me continue to study more proficently would be great. I implore apple to hear me out and maybe create a resolution to this or make apps that are for the computer better so the can match up to a 3.99 app for a tablet.
