App Store Genius in iOS 6 on iPad - does it still show iPad version of apps?

I've used the App Store Genius feature on an iPad that indicates when an iPad version of an installed app is available. The concept, in detail, is that if you have copied or downloaded an iPhone version of an app onto your iPad, this Genius feature lets you know if an iPad-specific version of the same app is available. This feature can obviously be quite handy for someone with both an iPhone and iPad who keeps largely the same apps on each.
I just updated to iOS 6, and I can no longer locate his feature within the App Store on an iPad. (I am using an iPad 2, specifically, though I don't see think should matter for this issue.) Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Yeah. I think one thing I used to like about Apple's App store over android google play store is that browsing by release date, I can discover some surprises. Top Paid and Top Free are often the big names or the cookie-mold free-to-play timesinks and they often stay there for a very long time. Please bring back the release date tab!

All apps, all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account or Apple ID that was used to download the apps.
You must use the iTunes account or Apple ID that was used to download an app in order to install an app update.
Not possible to transfer apps from one iTunes account or Apple ID to another and the same for merging accounts.

i was losing temper looking for an answer for this. at the end the trick is that you need to show the side bar then only your library will list the apps menu for you to access & start doing the deletion huhhhhh..
Itunes > view (menu bar) > show side bar > under library select apps > all apps list either active & deleted on your device will be displayed in tile view > then you start to delete by right clicking> finally empty recycle bin >

Just like the question says, Ive deleted the songs from the ipad and when i look in the ipad, they show up grey.

You don't need to delete them form iTunes on your computer. Notice the dotted circles next to the songs. That indicates that the songs are essentially in limbo. They may not be on your iPad or they might appear in the Music app but will not play.
Sometimes unsyncing those songs will totally remove those ghost traces of the music nd sometimes, you have to restore the iPad to get rid of those traces of the songs.
If you Google "grey dotted circles next to songs in iTunes" you will find a plethora of articles that talk about this.

iOS 6.1.4 is for the iPhone 5 only. It fixed a hardware specific issue. Your phone is properly up to date.

Is there a way of quickly finding iPad versions of iPhone/IPT apps?

In the apps section of your iTunes library, apps that already include support for iPad will show in the top section, *Apps for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad*, in iTunes 9.1 or later.
In the App Store, compatible apps have a + next to them to show they are compatible with all devices. The App Store on iOS 4 also shows the icon, too.
You should also check for app updates to see if any have added support for iPad. But most of them are separate iPad apps because of higher price, different features etc. and won't appear in app updates. Just search the app name in the App Store and if they have an iPad version, it should be noted as HD or *for iPad*.

I have a 2nd gen ipad. Since the latest ios update my ipad will not charge when hooked up to my computer running windows 7 and even though it shows that it syncs in Itunes, it will not download any apps. It just seems to skip that part.

I went to the apple store and they hooked up my ipad to a mac and it showed that it was charging and that apps would download. My ipones, touches, and ipods are not having any problems, just this ipad. It seems to be since I updated to the new ios. You can't even do a restore on it because it doesn't recognize it. It acts like it is communicating with it but it doesn't download anything and won't charge when it's hooked up to the USB port. Thanks for the question. After reviewing your post, it sounds like you can't connect to iTunes store on the iOS device. A frustrating situation for sure. I would recommend that you read this article, it may be able to help you resolve or isolate the issue.

Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update (iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
Make sure that you have an active Internet connection. You can check the user guide for your device for help with connecting to the Internet.

You can't currently permanently delete any items from your purchase history, all you can do is hide them so that they don't appear on the Purchased tab : hiding and unhiding. As your iPad is on iOS 6 then you will need to do the hiding via your computer's iTunes, it doesn't currently work directly on iOS 6 devices

Open the App Store app, go to the Featured pane, swipe to the bottom, tap your Apple ID and sign out. Tap again and sign in. The App Store will be changed to the store for which your account is authorized to make purchases.
