App store genius on ipod touch 5th generation
Currently I have been unable to use genius even after downloading apps, I only have a white screen with black text saying "DV6.Search.NoResultsFor, any information on this would be helpful.

Can't find the app store on my iPod touch fourth generation. The app store is nowhere to be found on any screens.
The app store can be rendered invisible if it's turned off in the restrictions.
Go to settings, general and scroll down to restrictions. If they're set, there'll be a passcode to enter. If you get in then you can see if the app store has been turned off. -
If i have a shattered ipod touch 4th ggeneration and i trade it in at Apple Store for the ipod touch 5th generation Will they take it even though it is shattered? and will i get my 10% recycling thing?
As far as recycling, they will take one, dead or alive, so I assume a shattered one would qualify just as well.

IPod touch 5th generation (replacement from Apple Store) - yellow tinted screen
I have an iPod touch 5th generation replacement from the Apple Store, and the display is slightly yellow compared to "new" or floor models. There are also some areas where the yellowing is more obvious than others. Is it possible to get this replaced at an Apple Store?

Hey Sierra, You can do just what you have stated. My question, what is your "other"? If it is over 1.5 GB you most likely have corrupt files. Doing a Restore to New, Factory restore should correct it. Just make sure you make a full backup of all information on your iPod to your computer before you restore, so you don't lose your stuff, contacts, videos, pictures, non-iTunes music, etc, use the cable and connect with your computer. Then, via cable, connect to your computer, run the Restore to new, don't use your backup. Treat this iPod as if it was your first one ever. When restore is done, set up and add what info you wish to install on this iPod. The music apps etc you purchased should be on your computer, if not you should be able to retrieve purchased apps and music from iTunes. Any music, videos, apps not purchased from iTunes will be lost to you if you do not save them to your computer or the cloud first. When your done, make a current Backup and you should good to go. IPod touch 5th generation battery drained and restored after app is closed
I got my iPod Touch 5th generation about a year ago. I noticed it has since had an issue on the battery life that I thought was common so I did not do anything about it.
The issue my iPod has is that whenever I use an app that requires immense energy to function, the battery drains real quick. But after I closed the app, the battery life fills up again like it has only used a little. Video recording especially drains the battery the most where after 10 minutes of recording, it pops up saying 20% battery left from fully charged and at one point it even shuts down itself. But when it was turned on, the battery life is still around 75%. Before it runs on iOS 8, the issue is more apparent although it still exist now with the latest update.
I did not know until just recently that I found out it is a big issue where I could not have a video recording that can last longer than 10 minutes or so. Is there anything I could do to solve this? Are there anyone else out there that has this sort of issue?Hey Leowjowee-
I'm really sorry if I'm about to state the obvious, but have you tried fully resetting the iPod touch and setting it up like it's brand new?
It's a crappy answer, but sometimes these are device specific issues, and other times, it can happen just because the kinks haven't been worked out of a new upgrade. I work in consumer IT, and the first thing I would suggest to a client with this issue (especially after an upgrade from one version of the operating system to another), would be to restore (reset the iPod to factory specs) the iPod touch, set it up like the day I bought it, only with the upgraded operating system, and see if there's still an issue. Sometimes, doing an upgrade like you probably did to get from iOS 7 to iOS 8, where it keeps all your previous settings from the last operating system, can cause bugs in the new code.

Apple have never accepted trade-ins agains the cost of a new device. You will need to sell the one you bought and apply the proceeds to the model you want.

Can I turn the Ken Burn Effect off when using the iMovie app on my iPod touch 5th generation?
I have an iPod touch 5th generation and I'm trying to make a movie using the iMovie app. When I put an image on there it moves from side to side and zooms in and out. I believe this is called the "Ken Burn Effect". Is there any way that I can turn the Ken Burn Effect off without having to adjust the image position and zoom level to be the same for the start and end points?

Unfortunately, the Ken Burns Effect cannot be turned off in iMovie for iOS. Like you mentioned above, having the photo at the same start and end point is the best way to make it appear as if it isn't moving/zooming. -
So the question says it all. Last week, I went to the Carindale Apple Store located in Queensland to purchase a iPad 2 and a iPod Touch 5th Generation. I asked one of the shop assistants when they were getting the iPod Touch 5th Generations and they had said that they didnt know that they would recieve it in a few months but they'll recieve it before next year. When I plug in my iPod touch 5th generation the small battery in the top right hand corner shows the charged sign. The big battery that shows up in the middle still shows it is charging. I've already been 2 the apple store & it didn't help any. Any ideas?
She restarted it or something. I don't know the exact process but she said don't worry the only thing you'll lose is your background. But I took a picture of the screen when it is charging so I have proof

I have an iPod Touch 5th generation and all of a sudden it started freezing on the lock screen.
I have an iPod Touch 5th generation that I've had since Christmas 2012 and suddenly today (June 27) when I tried opening one of my apps it froze and then shut the app down. At first I thought it was the app, but then it started happening to Safari and my Photos app. By time I had gotten to work when I slid the bar over to unlock it, it froze and wouldn't do anything. I had tried turning it off, holding the lock button down and sliding the power off slide, but the screen went black instead of turning off. Every few minutes it would suddenly light back up on the lock screen but wouldn't do anything after I slid the thing to unlock it. Sometimes it would seem to turn itself back on (even though I wasn't aware it had turned off, the apple logo never showed up) from black to the loading page (black screen with little circle thing lighting up to show it's loading) to the lock screen which wouldn't do anything. The time is constantly on track and the wifi connectivity icon on the top bar even shows when there's wifi, I just can't do anything with it. I could double tap the Home button and the music bar would show up and the volume level would change through me touching the screen and through the volume buttons on the side, but it wouldn't play anything. I also can hold the Home button and Siri shows up but then I can't actually speak anything to it.
I've managed to connect it to my computer and back it up to iCloud and on my computer and am trying to restore it right now, but I would like to know what's wrong with it. I've had it for about 7 months and have never had any issues with it like this before.If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

HELP! My brand new iPod touch 5th generation might be broken!
Hello, I recently got my Space Gray iPod touch 5th Generation that is 32GB and version is iOS 7.1.2. When I finally got it and was opening the package and trying to open it. I didn't know that there were 2 tabs on the bottom and top and I tried to pull the ipod out itself. I noticed I had to pull the tabs and then I got paranoid that I bent the ipod and it broke from the inside. Anyways, I set it up with no problem but when I went to sign in to App Store from my apple account and switched the keyboard to the numbers and other characters the keyboard got these weird short white lines and I got paranoid but when I switched the keyboard again and went back to the numbers keyboard the white lines did not appear. Now nothing strange is happening but I though that was a sign of my ipod was broken from the inside so I shaked ipod and heard nothing rattling from the inside so that gave a little relief. But I'm still VERY stressed out and paranoid because my mother got me this iPod from going to 5 stores to find the color I wanted and now I thought I was going to break it . Please help me apple community. Is the inside of my ipod ok? are there any other signs of the inside of the ipod broken? Please help, I'm only 12 and I'm going through so much stress .

- Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
- Restore from backup. See:

- Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
