App Store icon gone- Won't sync apps

Moved a few icons around; replaced Mobile Safari on the dock with OmniFocus. Now the App Store icon in nowhere on the iPhone. And the Applications tab/page in iTunes is greyed out. Can't sync or update any apps.
Did a full restore. Briefly saw functionality but the restore of data caused the same problem.
Anyone else?

How many little dots are below the icons on your home screen?
It's possible when you moved the icons around it slipped onto a new page

Hi there. I just swapped my Samsung (piece of ****) for the iPhone 3GS yesterday. I see there is no app store icon/app installed. Also I am not able to sync "photogram" free app to my phone from itunes. Or any free or paid apps period!
Was the "app store" supposed to be installed on my iphone when I bought it? Can I install it from the browser on my phone?

Did you buy this phone new? The App Store icon should be on the 1st home screen page, but maybe got moved, or restricted. You can reset it to where it's originally was:
Settings > General > Restrictions > (Allow) Installing Apps > ON
If already on, then reset the layout"
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout

Since IOS8 update App Store Icon gone

Since upgrading to IOS8 (including the new fix that I got this morning), the App Store Icon is gone as is my ITunes Icon.
I have a music icon. Is this a problem of IOS8 or does it have something to do with Family Sharing or iCloud?

Thank you thank you thank you. I have them back now. Interesting enough I went to the Apple Store today and two people couldn't figure it out so they scheduled me an appointment for tomorrow for one of the technicians. Now I can cancel that…. Thanks again.

Be sure to look closely for the app in all of your user created folders.

App Store Icon Gone

not sure if this is the place to post this, since it's an app that comes with the phone, but my App Store Icon is gone, I don't see that I dragged it into any folders or anything (had that happen with another app) and I don't see it on my Mac Laptop in Itunes (I rarely go into this, kind of underusing my Iphone for sure).
How do I find/restore my App Store Icon?

Settings>General>Reset>Reset Home Screen Layout. See if you see it now.

App store icon gone missing/Web Content Filter - Apple Configurator

I am using Apple Configurator to manage the iPads at my school. I changed the settings on my school's profile, within Apple Configurator, so that the App store was not available. The App store icon disappeared and all was good. I decided to change the settings back, to allow the App store, saved the settings and refreshed a group of iPads. The App store icon is still missing and it doesn't appear that my new settings have been applied. I quit Configurator and tried again, but no success. I am running Configurator 1.5 and the ipads are running iOS 7.1.
Also, I have unchecked the "Allow use of You Tube" button because I want You Tube disabled, but Configurator still allows the use of You Tube through Safari. Is there any way to disable the use of You Tube without using the ridiculous "Web Content Filter", that when activated, limits adult content (good), which seems to include a lot of valuable educational sites (bad)? To me the only other option available seems to be to tick "Specific Websites Only" and spend the next year typing in all the possible sites that might have educational merit, ergo, my use of the word 'ridiculous'. Is there something I am missing?

IPod won't sync and iTunes not accepting authorisation

bit of a complicated story (to me anyway). My computer recently crashed and had to be completely restored, when I got it back and reloaded iTunes (itunes 11) all of my music was still there in the cloud, excellent. I bought two albums last night from the iTunes Store and they won't sync with my iPod classic. When I plug it in iTunes recognises it, it connects then ejects without syncing. When I tried transferring my purchases I get a message to say iTunes is not authorised to play certain songs (not the songs I have just bought) and I need to authorise my computer. Then a box comes up with an apple ID I have never seen before pretty filled. I deleted that andout my details in but then I get a message to say my computer is already registered. I'm on my 4th out of 5 computers so I don't want to start deauthorising and deauthorising unless that's the right thing to do.
Tried resetting etc but doesn't have any effect. Any ideas?

I purchased a music video from the iTunes store and it won't sync to my iPhone. What gives?

One thing that might help out.
When your iphone is connected, on the summary screen, is the iphone set to sync automatically?
If not, you might need to drag and drop your music videos to the iphone.
If it is set to sync automatically, then go to the music tab and make sure the box is checked to sync music videos.
If it is, try right clicking(control click) on the iphone on the left of itunes under devices and reset warnings.
Now try to sync again and see if any error messages come up.

i bought my iPhone 3G this morning. it synced to the apple store computer and gave me somebody's ID that was playing with the computer's at Apple. now i'm at work and can't buy any music or apps on my account cause it won't sync my account on the iPhone from my work computer. my home computer is the main computer where i set up my apple account. do i need to sync it with the home computer to get my ID? thanks.

Syncing prob:icons for apps won't sync from Mac to ipod touch G1

I have a 1st Generation iPod touch, 32 GB and the latest version of iTunes on my MacBook Pro. I have tried several times to sync my laptop to my iPod...all goes well except it won't sync the icon pictures of my apps to my ipod...except 2 or 3. Please tell me what setting is wrong or what I can do to get the icon pictures on my iPod. Buying an updated iPod Touch may solve the problem, but that is not an option at the moment. This one is so old it doesn't have a cam or anything... but it still works very well.

You say you have a 1G iPod. Those can only gas as high as iOS 3.1.3 that you get here:

However, not there are few apps still compatible with the 3.1.3. Many have been udated so theay are no lnoger compatible with th 3.1.3.
Your only way is if you have the version that was compatible on your computer such as in the recycle bin/trash or in a computer file backup. In that case delete the current version that is in your iTunes App library and replace it with the older version. Then sync.

Yes. It will reset your Home screen layouts.
If the App store is hidden by Restrictions, it will not be enabled by Reset Home screen layout.
You need to re-enable Installing Apps in General > Restrictions.

If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

You're not talking to a team of Apple employees poised to jump on your question. We're all just users here, and we might be doing something else...
You cannot delete the App store App. It is somewhere on your Home screens, or you have dragged it into a folder. Any folder. If all else fails Settings > General > Reset > Reset Home Screen Layout.
