Try downloading another app - any free app - that seems to reset something and the apps may start working again. Try that first. If that doesnt work, try these steps
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Close all apps. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -

How do i log out off the app store as it has the wrong email and I can't do my updates as i don't know the password
Go to Settings > iTunes & App Store, tap on the Apple ID, and choose 'Sign Out'.
However, logging out of the iTunes & App Store won't change the Apple ID you need to use to update an app. It only affects what Apple ID you're using to download a new app.
Apps always have to be updated using the Apple ID that was used to download it originally. Go to iforgot.apple.com to reset that password. If you cannot do so, then contact Apple Account Security, or delete the app and redownload it using an Apple ID and Password that you know. -
I may have pressed something on my laptop that reset my iPad, then I just put the apps etc back on... But I have just tried a search in the app store and it's a US version! I cannot update my current UK app either, I message comes up saying it'll take me back to the UK store and that I should re-try but it still doesn't work. Launch the app store app. Go to the Featured Tab. Swipe to the bottom of the screen. Your ID is accessible in the lower left corner. Tap on the ID. Then tap View Apple ID. Enter your password. Go down to Country/Region and change the store to the UK in there. -

Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility and press the Continue button. After Disk Utility loads select the Macintosh HD entry from the the left side list. Click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If Disk Utility reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit Disk Utility and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Open App store app. On the main page scroll to the bottom. You will see your Apple ID. Click on it...then click on Open Apple ID. You should be able to change store.

I have iPod apps (from the App Store) like ABC player, NBC player and Facebook. Can I view these via Apple TV on my tv?
This is app dependend. From each app, look for the AirPlay icon (square with the triangle). You may see it or not or you may also see only an audio icon (like probably for ABC and NBC) as some app prevent video AirPlay.
For Facebook, the anwer is no. In order for it to work, you need AirPlay mirroring which isn't supported on iPod.
