App store/itunes wont load

Just says loading.... forever. am connected to wifi. safari works, mail works, everything works except appstore and itunes.
help.

I just checked the app store on my 3Gs it was pretty fast, and the downloads are fast too (from my 2G)

  • Apple App Store "Categories" wont load !

    The Apple App Store(INDIA) refuses to show categories on my ipod touch. When I tap the category pane in the appstore , it shows a blank area(it does not load the categories list) . At first I thought it must be some connectivity issue or something. But looks like many users are facing this problem. Whats more interesting is , all other countries App store displays categories list and works fine on my ipod except for my country's. What is wrong . how do i fix it ??
    PS : Apart from categories , other panes such as "featured" , "top 25" , "search" , "update" everything loads fine ..
    Any help would be appreciated !

  • IPod, App Store, iTunes won't load ...

    Hi,
    Got an iPhone 3GS on v4.3.2 and has been for some time and was working fine up until yesterday afternoon, nothing changed, nothing added or removed, no Sync done. Try to open IPod, App Store, iTunes or Safari opens for a second or so then closes, no message. Tried hard reset, soft reset, no difference.  Tried Sync and same again, no difference - anyone got any ideas?

    Ok wow. Found your O2 topic and the same solution worked for me. Weird!
    "As a last ditch before I went for the Restore as New last night I did the Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings ...
    and three minutes later it was perfectly fine, all the applications worked and it has been fine ever since!"

  • Itunes wont load pages

    Hi,
    I have itunes 10.5 beta on my dell and when i load it, its fine, then i connect to the itunes store it wont load the pages. It doesnt even load the home store. It will connect b/c i see the music tv movies and other categories, when i click on any of the tabs it WONT LOAD. It will give me a half load bar then stop loading. It will just give me a white page.... PLEASE HELP ME.. I havent disabled anything because i dont know how please tell me how to do that.... Also i have downgraded to the latest verison of itunes still nothing... so i repaired 10.5 STILL NOTHING..

    Isn't there a special beta forum you're supposed to ask? Just wondering.
    On current versions of itunes, many folks have had luck with going to
    itunes > edit > preferences > parental tab.
    Disable the itunes store, save the changes. Quit itunes, then start itunes back up.
    Go back into the parental tab and enable the itunes store.

    I am on the vodafone network in Australia and my app store on my iphone5 is not loading. The day before, i had downloaded some apps and was very surprised to see that the app store no longer loaded today. This is my first iphone and i dont have any experience with the same. Can somebody explain what i must do inorder to get the app store functioning again. It currently opens, but is empty. when i tap on the featured icon, it takes me to a blank screen and sme is the case with others.

    Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    This works for some users. Not sure why.
    Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

    I am 10.6.8 with all updates current and wish to download Lion.  The Icon for App Store won't load the app store and I've gone to iTunes trying to find the download site, no luck.
    I'm in the U.S. Virgin Islands and was searching to see if I'm red-lined due to location?

    I, too, have all updates and want to download Lion.
    Same as above with the App Store.
    Tried the iTunes route and still no luck.
    Looked at various forums, removed a few items from Library based on Apple Discussion recommendations.
    Still no luck.
    Working on iMac Intel Core 2 Duo
    Maybe it isn't a good time to upgrade, and I should wait until the next version.  The bug reports should be resolved sometime soon.
    This experience is moving me away from upgrading and it is annoying me because this has been a waste of no small amout of my time.

    I would need clarification on what the exact issue you are experiencing with the App Store to provide a better answer.  However, here are some troubleshooting steps that will help.
    Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    If you haven't been able to connect to the iTunes Store:
    Make sure your date, time, and time zone are correct in Settings > General > Date & Time.
    Note: Time Zone may list another city in your time zone.
    Make sure that your iOS software is up to date by tapping Settings > General > Software Update(iOS 5 or later) or connecting your iOS device to iTunes and clicking Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
    Check and verify that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're on a device with cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > General > Cellular.
    Note: If connected to cellular data, larger items may not download. You may need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.

  • Cant send SMS, app store won't load, + more problems.

    I just upgraded to the iphone 3G yesterday and I'm having NOTHING but problems. No texts I send will go through. The app store won't load. Can't get onto youtube.
    I've done a restore from itunes.
    I've walked through the steps on the support page.
    NOTHING. NADA.
    If I put in a sim card from another phone, I'm then able to send a text message so why not with the new sim card.
    I am beyond frustrated with this. An apple store is about 2+ hours away.
    Anything else I can do?

    Have you tried going to ATT and getting a new SIM?

  • Anyone else experiencing strange behaviour using the App Store/iTunes

    I'm having a strange problem with both iTunes and the App Store apps.  Searching for items is hit or miss, sometimes no results are returned or tiles are missing their pics etc.  Clicking on a item of interest like a TV show, for example, brings up the details page but sometimes the individual episodes descriptions/pics won't load. 
    The first time I used the new App Store it was showing me GBP currency instead of CDN.  I checked my settings and my location was set as Canada, so it definitely wasn't a settings issue on my end.  Killing the app and going back in seemed to fix the problem. 
    I was just browsing some new games when I ran into another problem, prompting me to post here.  I clicked on a game's icon/tile to access the details page, but nothing happened.  Clicked it again thinking it was me and this time the tile showed as depressed but nothing happened.  Clicked another tile and it depressed as well (and the first tile stayed in that state too) but the details page didn't load. 
    I definitely think there are a few bugs in the new App Store/iTunes apps.  Very annoying as there are a few purchases that I'd like to make but can't.  Argh.
    This all started after upgrading to iOS 6, which has otherwise been fine so far.
    Anyone else having similar problems?

    YES! I am having a lot of AppStore problems since iOS 6. My 2 main issues are:
    1. AppStore crashes constantly or will just sit & spin then does nothing at all.
    2. If I search for a specific App, making sure my spelling is correct, AppStore will NOT bring the app up. Instead, it will bring up unrelated apps.
    Podcasts app does the same thing, as well as jumbling up dates. Very impossible to find the correct episode.
    APPLE, please tell me you are reading this and that a fix is quickly under way!!

  • IBookstore, App Store, iTunes Store crash.

    I've been experiencing this for quite a while and have just been putting up with it.  When browsing any of the Apple Stores (iBooks, App Store, iTunes) they ALWAYS crash.  I'll get no more than 2 screens when the store crashes.  Upon relaunch of the app, it takes me back to an older session so I have to renavagate to the point where I last was and of course this causes the app to crash again.  It always seems to happen when the app is loading a new screen.
    I have gen 1 iPad wifi 32 GB, using OS 5.1.1, with approx 5 GB free space.  I thought it might be free memory problem, so I unloaded a lot of old apps that I don't use and tried browsing the stores with about 10gb free space, but they still crash.  I have restarted and shut down and that does not seem to help either.
    Does any one know what could be causing this?

    I had the exact iPad 1 that you have. I have since purchase the iPad 3 and my daughter is using the original iPad. I had some issues with iOS 5, low memory warnings galore. IOS 5.1.1 seemed to clear most of these issues up for me on that iPad. However, this forum had its fair share of users talking about all sites of memory issues with iOS 5.
    As I would always assume in instances like this, we were in the minority, and that most users did not experience these types of problems with their iPads when they jodated to iOS 5. But when you are one of the users that is having issues, the fact that you're in the minority doesn't make it any easier to swallow.
    Anyway, my belief is that iOS 5 stretched the original iPad processor to its absolute limits and since no update beyond iOS 5.1.1 was ever released for the original iPad, it became an instance of "it is what it is" and for those of us that had those issues, we had to look for workarounds in order to continue to use the device.
    Like I said iOS 5.1.1 helped a great deal, but I still had to keep an eye on what apps I was running and even though iOS is supposed to handle those memory issues without user input, it clearly didn't do what it was touted to do in that regard ... At least for some of us.

    You need to check to make sure you are actually connected to the network.  Tap Settings > WiFi >and then tap the blue ">" next to the network name with checkmark.  You should see a complete set of IP address but if the router didn't issue you an IP address properly, you will see your touch IP address start with 169.x.  If this is the case, you are connected to the internal network but not to the web.
    First thing to do (while you are on that screen) is tap "Forget Network".  Then turn WiFi off.  Turn it back on and, if needed, tap Other and re-enter your network information.  If you continue to have problems, check with your IT department on Monday.
    In the meantime, your laptop and iTunes can be used to purchase apps and music.  Syncing them with your touch is a great way to get them installed while you are waiting for the answer on your WiFi problem.

  • Tunes store and/or app store does not load/connect

    any of my 5 Macs running 10.7 through 10.9 just discovered a few days ago not having searched the store in a few months.  Hit the iTunes store in iTunes or App Store and nothing loads just says it's accessing the store then the content frame is blank. Submitting a search term does nothing at all, one Mac tells me my iPod is has finished sync. when I try to get the store through searching,say for a certain title/artist/movie/tv show, etc.I have the latest release of iTunes on all, my network is rock solid. 3 Macs are wired to net,the other 2 use WiFi. I know it worked before I have the protected data to prove it.

    You ran a defective third-party "utility" such as "CleanMyMac" or "MacCleanse" that purports to "clean up" "junk" files. What it really does is to corrupt the operating system and many applications.   
    The first thing you need to do is remove that software according to the developer's instructions. Never install it, or anything like it, again. Then see below.
    If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
    If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
    There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
    If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
    *The linked support article refers to OS X 10.9 ("Mavericks"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later.
