App store list view

Please add a simple list view back to the app store search results.  The large view takes too long to scroll through everything!

Sorry no, but you can get an idea from a Google search here.

  • Purchased Pages 09 yesterday. It shows up in my iTunes purchase history, but is not in my App Store list of purchased apps.  It was purchased and downloaded to my 13 macbook.  I want to install it on my iMac, but can't do so until I see it in App Store.

I purchased Pages 09 through the App Store on June 22 from my Macbook.  It downloaded and installed, but is not in my list of AppStore purchases.  I need it to show up in my App Store purchase history, so that I may download and install to my iMac where I do more of my work when at home.  THe app does not show up in App Store purchase history on either machine, however it does show up as purchased under my iTunes account.  Yes, I could probably just copy the application from one machine to the other, but if it doesn't show up as an App Store purchase I won't receive any product updates.
Should I refute the credit card charge through my credit card company to get Apple to fix the issue?

    (2) That option partially works, but is not acceptable in the long term.
    (3) I do indeed now have the application on both machines.  If I look for the Pages 09 application in the App Store application, it shows up as installed.  However, it does not show up in my purchase history!  This is critical as far as I'm concerned because I will not see security updates or feature updates unless it shows up as purchased from the App Store.  In fact, I'm hoping that I'll get a free upgrade to Pages 11 (if it comes out soon) based on how recent I've made the purchase of Pages 09.
    (1) good news
    (2) I can't decide for you. Remember that I am an end user like you.
    (3) (a) I never saw security update applied to an iWork application.
    (b) for the update, as the app if flagged as installed you will get the update if Apple deliver an ultimate one (update 9.0.6)
    (c) don't dream. Apple never did that. What they do is to deliver a free upgrade to buyers of a machine when the corresponding order was delivered after the product announcement (example : Lion if you order a mac to morrow)
Pages '11 (maybe it will be Pages '12) will not be an update but an upgrade and in such case, we must pay.
I got the described behavior for the app named "The Unarchiver" and, applying what I described, the app behave now as it must do.

  • How do I remove an unused app from App Store list?

With the introduction of Notification Center on Mountain Lion, I no longer need growl to give me notifications. I've shut it down and removed it from my system, but it still shows up in my app list in App Store for upgrades.  There doesn't seem to be a way to remove it.  I've tried to highlight the app and delete it.  No dice. No menu item for removing the item from the list. In the itunes app list, I can hide the app when I'm no longer using it.  How do I get rid of the app in the Mountain Lion app store?  I don't want to be notified anymore.
    Thanks,
    Mike King
system details: iMac, OSX 10.8.2, 8GB Ram.

You want to Hide the app in the App Store (as seventy one suggested). This will stop you from recieving notifications about updates.
In Mountain Lion, fnd the app in Purchases. Right click on it, and choose "Hide Purchase..."

  • ITunes apps tab, list view, what does the 4  symbol mean?

In iTunes, in the Library section on the left, with the Apps category selected, I see all my downloaded apps as icons. When I choose List from the iteims across the top, the view changes to an apphabetical list. Next to the name of each app is a symbol - a rectangle containing a numberal and a + sign. Most of my apps show 4+, others 12+, and a few 17+. Can't figure out what the symbol means. If you know, I'd be grateful for an explanation. Thanks.

How are you getting the list view?  All I can see are my icons on the right.  Nothing shows up on the left side under list view.
    Thanks!

  • How to see more apps in app store list?

    Hi there,
Got an iPad for Christmas and something is bugging the heck out of me.when I go to the app store and browse the apps, I can't seem to see more than the first 12 apps.
For example, if I chose Music in the categories, it shows the first page, and at the top it says '1-12 of 5000 apps'. How the heck to I browse through all the other 4888 apps????????
It enables me to filter by popularity, date etc, but I can never get past the first 12.
    Stupid?

If in Category View Mode use your finger to swipe the screen from right to left.
    Good Luck!

  • App Store list resets

Dear Apple developers! I have one thing to recommend you about iOS App Store, which disturbs, i suppose, not only me, but a lot of users. When i tap "buy", the app store closes and show me the page where the bought app is situated. I suppose users don't need it, because it's obvious thing. And when i open App Store again to continue checking somothing new in the Top lists of somewhere else, I click "back", but the list of apps resets, so i need to scroll the whole list again to find the number I stopped on. That's not convenient for using. I would be great if there is fixing in next iOS update. Users REALLY need it!
    Thanks forward,
    You constant iPhone user

These are user-to-user forums, you are not talking to Apple here.
Other people have commented about the same 'feature' and have left feedback for Apple - you could do the same via this page : http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

  • App Store lists app to be updated, yet I have updated it several times.

I bought "Vox 2" a few weeks ago.  There was an update available on January 28th, so I updated it.  There was an update available on February 14th, so I updated it.  There was an update available on February 15th, so I updated it.  The last three things in the App Store "updated recently" list is Vox 2, and the dock icon insists there is another update available today.
How can I get Mac App Store to stop telling me there is an update available, when there clearly is not?  Surely Vox is not being updated every day.
While I'm at it, I have tried some free apps and bought some other apps through the App Store -- apps that I do not like at all, and will never ever use.  How can I stop getting notified that there are updates for this junk?  It actually inhibits me from ever again trying a demo app through the App Store, because if I don't like it I will still get push notifications about it forever.  Note -- Vox is NOT one of these junk applications -- Vox is useful to me.
    Thanks!

App Store Keeps Wanting To Update Apps

  • Remove app from app store list

I have tried out some free app games and found I don't like them. So I want to not only remove them from my Mac but also from the App Store 'Purchased' list. How do I do that? Oh, one is not completely downloaded (yeah, grandson).
    Thanks for the help!
    Sharon

ER has given you a solution for iOS apps, purchased from the iTunes Apps Store, but this ASC forum is actually for the Mac App Store, which sells apps for Mac OS X Snow Leopard.
If you are asking about the Mac App Store, there is currently no easy way for the user to remove apps that you have bought from the MAS purchased list. So until Apple changes the MAS app and allows complete elimination of apps that you have deleted, for now everything that you buy will remain available for installation again on your Mac or any other Mac on which you log into your account with the MAS, as well as will provide update notices.

  • App store lists...?!

Does anyone know how to fix the problem that when you search the app store, if you look at an individual app then go back to the main list, it takes you back to the beginning?  For example, if you type in a word like 'journal' and search, you get about 1,600 possibilities.  Looking through those possibilities, you see one at results around 786-806 of 1,600 that you might be interested in.  So you look at the reviews, but it doesn't seem right, so you go back to your search list, only to be returned to results 1-20 of 1,600!  It's so annoying!!
    Thanks guys

It's a 'feature' of the store that a number of other people have commented on in the past, but which doesn't appear to have been fixed yet - you could try leaving feedback and maybe one day it will be : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

  • More Sort Options in App Store Category Views

I would love to see the ability to sort apps within the various categories of the app store by more than just "Name" and "Release Date"
    How about adding these:
    Highest Rating
    Recently Updated
    Price
    Most Purchased
I'd like to see a bit of grouping ala iTunes
    Group by Release Year
    Group by Rating
    Group by Price
    free
    < $5
    $5 - $10
    etc...
Is this too much for the App Store to handle?
Is there a reason not to provide users with ways to find things faster or easier?
Is there a different app with these functions that I should be using (sorry dry humor)

Apple is not here. You are just asking these questions of other user just like you. None of us are in the know.
Give feedback to Apple under Mac OS X, as the MAS is a Mac OS X app.

  • HT4623 How do I retore app icons to screen after IO6 update?  They now appear only in App store list

How do I retore app icons to screen after IO6 update?  They now appear only in App store list

Go to iTunes, click on Apps in the left window, to bring up your app library. Then click on "check for updates" in the right window, bottom corner. If there are any updates available, you'll be notified of the number and you'll have to choose the apps you want to update in the next screen shown, or update them all at once after filling in your password.
You can also click on one app in the library and choose "get info" to see the actual version saved in your library.

  • Suggestion for App Store when viewing from iphone

I hadn't checked the app store for about a week and when I looked last night... 844 games?! Thats awesome. BIG pain trying to look through all those games though.
Is there any way to suggest to Apple that they add some simple sorts under the "categories" section? It would be great to go to the category "games", for example, and then be able to sort by say: date added, avg rating, and price.
If you could set two sorts it would be ideal but anything is better than looking through 844 apps in what appears to be random order.
Seems like it would be such a simple thing for the mighty Apple programmers to do....

We are users here - I'd suggest making the suggestion to Apple:

  • ITune App Store lists iPhone apps only. Even though I have an iPad.

I have an iPad. Yet when I look for Apps in the iTunes Store. I get catagories with listings for iPhone Apps not iPad apps. My iPad is synced with this computer. I cannot find a preference anywhere to change this. Help please.

If you are using the App Store on your iPad then there should be 'iPad Apps' and 'iPhone apps' buttons at the top of the screen. If you are on your computer's iTunes then there should be iPhone and iPad buttons at the top of the App Store home page

  • Pages says I need a later version to open a document. I have V 5.0 (1465) but the App Store lists V5.2.2 and says it's installed. Any ideas why I can't open the document, please?

When you updated to Mavericks and qualified for the free iWork apps and then installed them, the old iWork apps were rounded up and put into a folder name iWork' 09 and the three new versions of the apps are scattered in the apps folder in alphabetical order.
