App store not recognising Disk version of Garageband

I have Garageband 11 but it seems to have lost all its loops in Mountain Lion. When I go into App Store it doesn't recgonise that I've brought it.

Did you reinstall GarageBand from the DVD after you updated to Mt. Lion? did you make a clean install and wipe the disk, or something?
After reinstalling from the DVD you need to run "Software Update" from the Apple Menu to download the additional contents again.
Also, the reinstalling from the DVD will not have restore any of the JamPacks, if you have been using them. Those need to be installed again separately from their disks, but not all installers will be able to run with Mt. Lion.

    20GB free space on the drive is hardly enough. Any less and your Mac will slow to a crawl and possibly not boot. Good rule of thumb.. make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.

    This morning, I tried to update 3 apps on my iPhone 5s; Minion Rush, CNET, and IMDB. But when I tried updating, it said that the pruchases had been cancelled or refunded or purchased by another apple ID. Now, I know for a fact that all three of these explanations aren't true because I've been using this apple ID for ages, and it is the only one that's ever been used on any of my apple devices.     Problem now resolved as I upgraded to Snow Leopard 10.6.  Seems App Store doesn't like anything previous to 10.6.

    Assuming that you have a credit card in the UK, with a valid billing address for that credit card that matches the credit card statement ....
    Launch the app store app. Go to the Featured Tab. Swipe to the bottom of the screen. Your ID is accessible in the lower left corner. Tap on the ID. Then tap View Apple ID. Enter your password. Go down to Country/Region and change the store to the UK in there.

    Go to the App Store and check out the Purchases List. If iPhoto is there then it will be v9.6.1
    If it is there, then drag your existing iPhoto app (not the library, just the app) to the trash
    Install the App from the App Store.
    Sometimes iPhoto is not visible on the Purchases List. it may be hidden. See this article for details on how to unhide it.

    iPhoto the application and the iPhoto Library are two different parts of the iPhoto programme. So, reinstalling the app should not affect the Library. BUT you should always have a back up before doing this kind of work. Always.

    Un-install according to the developer's un-install instructions.
    You do not need to use cleaning programs. They can destroy your computer operation as they may already have done.

    After un-installing, run this program to make sure you got all the pieces.

    Do a backup.
    Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J.  When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder.  Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
    Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
    If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

    App Store not working

    FYI.  Super annoying that I had to do this, but I factory reset my phone and set it up as a new phone and that solved the problem.  That is a little less of a pain for me since I have all my contacts sync'd with gmail so they all just pop back up when I add that account on my phone.
    App store working like a champ for now.

At some points it's a vicious circle because it asks for a password at key times when trying to correct the problem. Note that the new email address shows when I log into my Apple account and shows it was verified. For some reason the system isn't updating to the new email in ALL places.

  • App Store Not Loading READ HERE!!  DO NOT RESTORE YOUR DEVICE!!

    Ok Applecare Senior Advisor Tad just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.  He said it should only be a 24 hour or so problem then everything should be up and running again.  i have two new ipads and 2 iphone 4's and everythng works fine but my ipad (figures).  They are actually going to be calling me tomorrow to follow up on the issue.  I will let everyone know if I hear more!

    And just so everyone knows this started for me late last night.  I shut my device off this morning hoping it would be working this morning, but not luck obviously.  So I kept researching all the forums, googling, and searching on twitter for solutions or possible solutions.  I tried everything, hard reset, changing date, signing in/out, you name it I did it EXCEPT for a restoration.  Now the first woman I spoke to from applecare this morning walked me through all these steps (even though I had already tried them).  She told me to do a restore and start as a new device.  Well before I had even spoken with her I read several places that people had already tried doing the restores and it didn't work so I wasn't going to listen to her and I didn't do it.  So I called back applecare and finally got transfered to Tad and (sorry in advance Tad!!) I basically lied to him and told him that I DID DO a restore even though I had in fact didn't.  So that's when he put me on hold and basically spilled his guts that it was the apple servers.  So i asked if I had to restore my device again or anything and he said no and that it would take about 24 hours or so for the problem to be fixed and then he procedded to take down my number and said he would call me tomorrow to find out how I my device was doing.  So keep posting to the forums folks!! They are listening, he said he had started to see a number of complaints coming in on this topic.  And by the way this is my first time posting in the Apple forums, I hope I at least helped some of you out!!!

  • Adobe Reader 9.5.1 does not recognise older version of Flash Plugin 10.3.183.18 it requires 11.2

    I have a problem in upgrading Adobe Reader to 9.5.1 as it is not recognising older version of Flash Plugin 10.3.183.18 and it prompts the user to download and install Flash Player 11.2, this is not the case with Adobe Reader v 10.1.3 as it works fine with 10.3.183.18
    My Firm is not ready to rollout Flash player 11.2 , is there any work around or a fix available to fix this issue , does anyone know which API is responsible for this Flash content
