App Store not updating itself
My iPad 3 App Store is failing to update the App Store interface with new apps. So Editors Choice, App of the week etc have all outdated apps. They're already a few months outdated. Is there anyway where I can fix this problem?
What I actually mean is that when I open up app Store, the main interface with the app adverts and stuff are all outdated and for some reason app store fails to self update their interface with newer app adverts . My problem here does not lie with the iPad itself. :)

App Store not updating all available updates at once
I just installed Mac OS X Yosemite and the App Store shows me a few updates that are available, but I can't update all at once.
If I click the update all button nothing happens (beside some of the individual update buttons going white and a little wheel spinning for a while).
If I click update for an individual application the download starts and the software gets updated.
Has somebody a solution to this?

I left the Mac App Store open for several days Along with Activity Monitor. At the beginning of the third day, I noticed the fan running at fairly high speed. Curious about what could generate all that heat with the keyboard light off and only one unresponsive application running, I looked at Activity Monitor and discovered the CPU was running at about 58% of capacity with the App Store being mostly responsible. I shut down the App Store, which was now responsive and restarted. Amazingly, once I had restarted, the App Store was now working perfectly and had already updated all the applications on the machine with the exception of iPhoto and iMovie
It wold be nice if Apple gave us a little better visuals about applications that are doing things in the background so as to avoid panicked users.
Now I am fighting to be able to find all the iPhoto database links to files on a network server that no longer exists. It seems that, in order to keep the users access to complex distributed data, they have made it difficult to see which elements of the iPhoto database are no longer current. It wouldn't be a real problem if the OS screen saver trying to find the missing server but wasn't asking for help. -

Un-install according to the developer's un-install instructions.
You do not need to use cleaning programs. They can destroy your computer operation as they may already have done.

Do a backup.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/com.apple.appstore.plist. Move the .plist to your desktop.
Restart, open the application and test. If it works okay, delete the plist from the desktop.
If the application is the same, return the .plist to where you got it from, overwriting the newer one.

AAM not updating itself to Creative Cloud Desktop app
I had the Creative Cloud desktop/toolbar app running briefly yesterday but was frustrated by having the CS6 and CC versions of various apps running side by side, so decided to uninstall everything and do a clean install. I ran the various uninstall programs and the cleaner utility, then re-installed AAM, AI and PS as a starting point.
AAM has not updated itself to the Creative Cloud desktop app, and if I go to the Download link for the Creative Cloud desktop app and click on Download, it just switches to the AAM app, and does nothing.
If I look in the updates section of AAM, there are no updates for AAM itself and Creative Cloud Desktop is not an installable program in AAM either.
Can anyone help me in either triggering AAM to update/install Creative Cloud Desktop, or provide some manual installation steps?

Here is a quick tip though for Windows 8 and 7 64-bit users which might resolve your difficulties.
Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe and rename the OOBE folder to OOBE_old
Close and relaunch your browser
Sign in with your Adobe ID and password to https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud
Download the Creative Cloud app. -
When I try to log into the app store to update apps or buy apps the user name that appears is an old one and it will not bring up the current user name/ email how do I stop that so that my current email show up ??
Settings>Store: Tap the AppleID and choose "Sign Out", it will then prompt you to sign in and you can use the new AppleID.
NOTE: Apps must be updated with the AppleID they were purchased under.

Apple is having server problems affecting App Store, iTunes, iCloud, etc…
Check the Apple Service Status(***) page… http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ Wait for all systems to show green.
Here is what Apple's message says…
Multiple Store Services - All users are affected
Customers may be unable to make purchases from the App Store, iTunes Store,
iBooks Store, or Mac App Store.
iCloud Mail - All users were affected
Users may have been unable to access iCloud mail.
iCloud Account & Sign In - All users were affected
Users may have been unable to sign in.
This means no downloads, updates, iCloud and other issues. You may get pop-up windows asking you for password for iCloud, etc…
Try again after it's all green on status page. -
Why is the app store not synced with icloud? Have so many logins and cannot login to one or the other sometimes. Wanted the latest updates to an app my friends already got and could not get the update all day long.

App Store not showing available update (for X-Code)
Hello,
I regularly check if there are update's for the applications I've purchased and downloaded from the Mac App Store.
So also yesterday.
Result: "all applications are up to date / no updates available".
I have Apple's X-Code installed. Version 4.2.1.
As I browsed the App Store and clicked on X-Code, I saw that the current version was 4.3.3.
Anyone an idea why the App Store said all my applications where up to date where that wasn't the case?
Do I have to check each installed application manually to be sure I have the latest update?

emeu1If you downloaded Xcode from the App Store the update should have been available but there is a work around for this.
Download this free utility to uninstall Xcode and all the associated files > Download AppCleaner for Mac
Then launch AppCleaner. Then drag the Xcode app from the Applications folder to the AppCleaner window. Delete all the associated files listed in that window.
Now go to the App Store and re download the app. That will install the latest 4.3.3 version.
How to re download apps from the Mac App Store:
Open the App Store. From the menu bar click Store > Sign In
Click Purchases from the top of the App Store window.
Select which apps you want to re download. Then right or control click where you see Installed then click Install.
Make sure and use the same Apple ID used for the original download. -
I purchased an ipad from someone and i set up my apple id for it but when i go to the app Store to update apps, i click on the update button for an app, the previous owners' apple Id username appears and it won't take my apple id password. How do I replace their username w/ mine? It doesn't give me an option... Help! Please!

You can probably change the ID in the "iTunes and App stores" settings on the iPad....click on the wrong account ID , select sign out, then log in with your own ID, I have not done this but I think it works.....
but I would be more inclined to to the factory reset and start afresh. -
I recently changed my email on my apple account but the old email address is displayed when I go into iTunes or App Store not allowing me to sign into my account. At some points it's a vicious circle because it asks for a password at key times when trying to correct the problem. Note that the new email address shows when I log into my Apple account and shows it was verified. For some reason the system isn't updating to the new email in ALL places.

For about a week, when I get a notice of update available for an app...upon entering App Store for update...nothing happens. I have rebooted the Ippad and rebooted the wireless router. Nothing changes. All other functions at App Store work, including any New App download.
The update server is down; try this temporary workaround
App Store>Purchased>Select "All"
Note: Look out for apps that have the word "Update"

Installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo reinstalls the App Store for you which may help.
Restart your Mac after the combo is installed.
Then try the App Store. -
