App store on Imac not DL/UP
The Last week or so i've been trying to update an game I downloaded.. When I click update it turns light gray as if it will download.. then turns back to dark gray as if i did not click it... Its been like this for a while.. I tried deleting it and then re download it and still does the same... Any one else experence this?

Installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo will reinstall the App Store for you which may help. Restart your Mac after the combo is installed.
Then try re downloading the update on the game.

The application called VirusScan that comes preloaded on the macbook will no longer open, claiming that it is corrupt and that I must reinstall it. As for VirusScan, Barney is right on the money that it does not come preinstalled on any Mac shipped new from Apple. However you have gotten it, your best bet is removing it. I am trying to download xfinity tv go app. I can not find it in my App Store and can not download it from the comcast website. All I get is a blank screen in the App Store. My Apple ID is associated with a Canadian address. How can I find the app?

You've tried deleting and redownloading them and seeing if they then work and tried contacting the developers ? If you have and they can't/won't help then try the 'report a problem' page to contact iTunes Support : http://reportaproblem.apple.com

Can't Search in Mac App Store & Can't Not Open Menu In Mac App Store
today, I wanna update some software, when i bring up the Mac App Store, it will not let me click in the Search box. Also, when I click on "Categories" "Update", etc. at the top of the page, they will highlight but not go to those pages.

I don't think that debit cards are still accepted as a valid payment method - they are not listed on this page and there have been a number of posts recently about them being declined. If you don't have a credit card then are iTunes gift cards available in your country ? They are not available in all countries and they are country-specific (they can only be used in their country of issue), so you won't be able to use those from another country. -

I'm trying to re-install an earlier version of a third party app I bought from App Store, version is not available anymore. The problem, 3rd party does not recognize my purchase ID, since I got it from App Store. My Mac Air Book is limited to update up to OS 10.6.8, unaware of updating the new version of Mac Cleanse I bought from App Store, this new version does not support my OS 10.6. How can the App Store provide me with an earlier version of Mc Cleanse?

When trying to install apps from app store it does not prompt an apple id and after 15 minutes says "cannot connect to itunes store".
Your Apple ID may be greyed out because of restrictions. Settings>General>Restrictions>Allowed Changes>Accounts. If you set that restriction, your ID will be greyed out. Nobody can make changes to the account without entering the passcode to change disable the restriction.
Maybe something in here will help, even though this is not exactly what you are experiencing.

It sounds to me like you are trying to get new content or update your apps but no matter what you do you are not being prompted for your Apple ID and password. I recommend first starting by signing out of your iTunes and App Stores in Settings > iTunes and App Stores. Then close all the running apps on the phone:

Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.
When you have done that restart the phone, sign back into your account and try again:
