App store problem with iPhoto update

Today I went to the App Store. An update was available for iPhoto. When I clicked on it I got a notice that I needed to accept new conditions, when I clicked on "O.K" after a while I got the message that I was not connected to the App Store. I have tried several times. How do I update? the update to iPhoto does not show up on regular Software update section. Thank you!

Hi...
Make sure the Firewall is turned off in System Preferencdes > Security
If you have anti virus software installed, disable that.
The app Little Snitch can prevent updates from downloading and installing, so can Growl.
When you post for help, please tell us which Mac OS X you have installed. Thank you!

• App Store problem with update???

I have a problem with the app store. I have to update the application badge twitter. Twitter is not installed. When I click on update in the User ID field is already entered an email address that is strange to me. When i enter information for my ID and pass, i get an error on the app store. I can not install the tweeter nor do I delete a notification of the update.

• App Store problem with Yosemite

After installing Yosemite, the App Store told me I had 5 updates waiting:
In a box by itself at the top, it showed iTunes.
Then in a single box below it, it listed: iPhoto, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.
I clicked "update all" and it started at the bottom of the list, and worked upwards to iPhoto. For the bottom three I got a message in red saying it couldn't do the update, I should go to the "Purchases" page for the update. Then it stopped on iPhoto. I left the mac for over an hour, and when I returned, the spinning cursor was still spinning, and nothing else had happened. I quit the App Store and rebooted so that nothing else was running, and started App Store again. It still tells me that I have 5 updates, but now the "Updates" window is empty, and once again App Store has stopped responding.
I'm assuming there is a config file somewhere that's messed up, but I have no idea how to fix it.
Help, please!
Walt

This all looks like information that would be useful to someone who had the source code for the app, or at least an intimate knowledge of the OS, but not to ordinary users. I did notice a lot of "server time-out" errors but I have no idea what I can do about them, if even they are important.
Thanks for helping out with this.

• App Store problem with 2g iTouch 8Gig

I just got the 8gig 2g itouch and when I try to use the app store from it I get a message that says I can only buy from the US store. This unit came from Canada and is supposed to have a 10 month warranty. If I use itunes from my PC I can download and sync any app, music, photo and the like with no problems. Is there a way to change the way the app store sees my unit and knows I am in the US? In general settings my region format is US under the international heading. Any help will be appreciated!

So, your unit was purchased in Canada, and all syncing and play is problem free. You are from the U.S. The main problem is, then, is the identity of the iPod.
If I might ask, what's the problem if the unit works fine? Is there an issue with the warranty?

• App store problems with 3.0 please help =)

well before i got the update the apps would install fine, but now they lagg a lot and take forever to download and install. Anyone know of a way around this or is this a fault with 3.0?
thanks

i am also having that issue and it seems like others are as well.
i have about 20 icons on my first 3 pages that are labeled correctly and work as the label suggests, but the icon picture is that of something completely different.
i cant seem to fix any of them without doing a restore which is a ****** waste of time. i deleted sportacular which had the picture of something else and reinstalled it, but even after the reinstall it was mis-pictured.
i've rebooted my phone and tried resyncing with no success.
any good suggestions out there?

my internet connection is ok, mail is ok, but app store after 3 resets does not recognize my ID and it says "connection is not possible". Why? I have the same problem in both my mac mini late 2009 and mac book air 2010? Is it a problem of 10.7.4 update? I have to solve this problem and how can i return to 10.7.3 if my last backup was not with 10.7.3???thank you for your kind collaboration...

Have you tried signing out of your iTunes & App Store on your device and then back in again - Settings>iTunes & App Store, click on Apple ID, then on Sign Out. Then sign in again and see if it accepts the password.
If that doesn't resolve the issue, try resetting your device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the reset is complete, the Slide to Unlock screen will display. See if the problem is resolved.

• Problem with iPhoto 9.2.1 update to a higher version.

Hi, I have a problem with iPhoto 9.2.1 update to a higher version. I tried to install version 9.2.3 and version 9.2.2 and each time the installer returns the message that must have version 9.1.0. Both the update downloaded from Apple.

How old is your Mac? If it's very recent you need to update via the App Store
If you purchased at the App Store you need to update via the App Store
Otherwise you update via Softare Update
If you have moved iPhoto from the default location (i.e. into a Folder) then the updater won't find it. Move it back.
If you have renamed iPhoto, the updater won't find it. Change it back.

• Problems with iPhoto 11.1.4 after update

iPhoto automatically upgraded to 11.1.4 on February 1st, since when I have not been able to access my iPhoto libraries. I had upgraded to "Mavericks" from 10.6 in November 2013 and then installed the compatible version of Microsoft Office and have been using both Office and iPhoto since then, so I conclude that (a) it is not an old problem and (b) it is not a "cross-contamination" problem.
On starting iPhoto, the message appears that I do not have permission to access the library or that the disk is locked. Since I created the library under my user-id, I find it difficult to believe that I do not have permission, and I have checked (4 or more times) that the disk is not locked.
A further message then told me that I needed to use the 'library updater', which I downloaded and ran. I am still unable to access the library.
I have not "sync'd" my iPad nor my iPhone since then, as I am concerned that this could endanger the photographs downloaded from my MacBook.
Does anyone know of a problem with iPhoto 11.1.4 and older libraries which have been progressively updated (from pre-2009 through "Snow Leopard")?

The problem was not with the location - which had not changed - of the library but with the library itself.
I checked similar queries / issues and found an app "iPhoto Library Manager" which HAS solved the problem and, when I install the non-free version (which I have now purchased), it will help me remove the hundreds of duplicates & multiples which have infiltrated my library since about 2007!
Thank you for your response - it showed that someone cared!

• After installing mavericks apple id is greyed out in app store when trying to update iPhoto

after installing mavericks apple id is greyed out in app store when trying to update iPhoto. How to update iphoto?

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
2. In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu of search criteria, initially showing Kind. From that menu, select
Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select
Raw Query
as the criterion, then click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of the menu of search criteria. That's where you enter the raw search query. Click in that box and paste the text you copied earlier by pressing command-V.
4. The search window will now show all the App Store products that are installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method.

• What's going on with the App Store not able to update 2015

What's going on with the App Store not able to update any apps 2015?

Apple is having server problems affecting App Store, iTunes, iCloud, etc…
Check the Apple Service Status(***) page… http://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ Wait for all systems to show green.
Here is what Apple's message says…
Multiple Store Services - All users are affected
Customers may be unable to make purchases from the App Store, iTunes Store,
iBooks Store, or Mac App Store.
iCloud Mail - All users were affected
Users may have been unable to access iCloud mail.
iCloud Account & Sign In - All users were affected
Users may have been unable to sign in.
This means no downloads, updates, iCloud and other issues. You may get pop-up windows asking you for password for iCloud, etc…
Try again after it's all green on status page.

Yes. Delete the Apps that were not Purchased using Your Apple ID.
But a Restore as New is the way to go.

You must be signed into the Apple Store with your Apple ID or it won't work.
and
How to deal with a 100 Store Error:
Try here > Mac App Store: "An unknown error occurred (100)" when purchasing
If that doesn't help, open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here;
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
Click Go
Move the Cache.db file to the Trash.
Now here:
~/Library/Preferences/
Click Go
Move these files from the Preferences folder to the Trash.
com.apple.appstore.plist
com.apple.storeagent.pllist
Now here:
~/Library/Cookies
Click Go
Move the com.apple.appstore.plist file from the Cookies folder to the Trash.
Empty the Trash, try the App Store.
