App store, safari, itunes store, and icloud not working osx 10.8

Hey,
I have a retina macbook pro 13" that i bought in january. It has been running perfectly fine until a few days ago the itunes store wouldnt load at all, no matter how long i let it load, only the 'Itunes Store" splashback page showed. I then also realised that the App store had similar problems, only it wasnt loading and returning an 'insecure connection' message. After searching a few forums and trying to solve the issues, it led me to test safari, which is also not working. The loading bar stops about an 8th of the way and doesnt load any further. Also imessages are no longer being pushed from my phone to my computer. This is not an issue with my internet or router, all other internet browsers work perfectly, and the problem persists when i disconnect from my home network and connect to a personal hotspot from my phone. There seems to be quite a bit of talk about this problem, but very little on a solution. i was hoping someone could help me maybe come up with a solution before i restore my macbook or take a trip to the apple store.

Itunes and icloud not working in pakistan

I am unable to log into my itunes and icloud account. It keeps saying verification failed. My password and username are correct. Also whenever i try to view my photos I am unable to do so. The previews are black and when i tap on them it keeps saying loading to no end. Is it just me or is Pakistan as a whole experiencing this? Its a new ipad mini which i just bought. In about it says 0 pictures. what is going on with apple?

ITunes 9 and Genius (not working)

I have tried all of the suggestions (remove apple.com cookies from Safari; delete user>library>cookies; delete iTunes prefs; turn off and on Genius) and genius does still not work. I click on a song and then the genius button, after what appears to be a successful connection and response from apple, I get a dialog box that states:
Genius is not unavailable for the song "Ebony Eyes". Choosing Update Genius from the Store menu will update your Genius results. If, after updating, kTunes is still unable to identify this track, please choose another song or artist>
Numerous attempts to update Genius only results in the return of the same dialog box. I have tried many songs, including ones purchased from iTunes and well as ones I imported from purchased CDs.
Genius mixes shows mixes, but when I try to click on the play button, nothing happens.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I own the movies and I want them to stay in my iTunes library basically forever.
But in both cases the file name no longer shows in the movie list, so I don't know how to re-download it from the Cloud.
iTunes prefs > Store > Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases.
This will show all your iTunes purchases in your library with a cloud icon down arrow. Click the icon to redownload or click on Play to stream without downloading.

and techncially, you don't "own" the movie, You simply have a license to use it.
Yet the first thing iTunes does when you hit the delete key is tell you that it will remove the movie forever from all devices and the library.
Actually, no it does not tell you that.
FYI: You should keep copies of all yoru iTnue spurahses as the labels/movie studios/copyright owners can pull their product at anytime and it won't be available to redownload.

I got imatch for her and it works fine. When I got imatch it does not work. is that because imatch wont allow the two accounts to come from one computer? if thats the case how do i get my money reimburesed?

At this time iTunes Match cannot be used in more than one User Account in OS X. iTunes Match is associated to one Apple ID per computer MAC address.
To request a refund you'll need to contact iTunes Store support directly.

IPhone 4 and iCloud not working - it was though !

My iPhone 4 has stopped syncing with my Outlook data (and vice versa). iCloud is running on PC ok as I also have an iPad which updates almost instantly.
I have turned the phone off/ performed a restore/done a full reset & erase & restore/a full reset & erase and no restore but all do not get iCloud working on the phone. If I delete the iCloud account from the phone, I just getting the spinning wheel and have to force close the settings app. If I try and turn off a catagory, say contacts, again, spinning wheel. I've even tried a different iCloud account but the same thing happens.
Anyone else encountered this ? I'm on latest IOS

Not sure I'm being of any help here but my iPhone 4 runs okay with iPhoto.. but by girlfriends OS4 iPhone 3GS has started to show the blank squares in iPhoto on 90% of her photos / videos since installing the software.
Also, on a couple of videos she recorded recently the sound just cuts out half way through when playing back on the phone. If skipping through the video the sound comes back.. then goes away again.
Apple, you have made a big booboo in the OS4 update ain't cha?!

Itunes 10 and Quicktime not working

I have Windows Vista 64 bit and ever since iTunes 10 installed it will not launch. Neither will Quicktime. I've tried everything on the support pages but no success. Please help!

Not sure if it will work for everyone but I had the same issue... couldn't get music to even go on my iphone nor play it on itunes... I read somewhere else that if you open quicktime (which i had a bugger of a time opening) just far enough to get to tools and options... go to the advanced tab and go to the audio settings... as soon as i did the error message popped up and it had me select the correct audio card and then everything worked like a charm again.

IPad and iCloud not working

I have an iPhone 5 and everything is setup fine, I changed my Apple ID and password and updated everything on my iPhone and iPad, however... When I try and go to the iCloud on my iPad to sync my iPhone and iPad together it asks for my old ID and Password and will not accept the old information. I also do not have an option to click on anything in the iClouds settings page, it says I need to Accept Terms and Conditions BUT I can't get into the Terms and Condition because it keeps asking for my Old ID and Password which no longer work. I also tried resetting all my data but again it asks for my old ID and password and I'm not able to make any changes. I updated the ID and PW online and everything went through except the iCloud on my iPad. can anyone help, I just want my iPad to match my iPhone and I want the old ID to go away. Thank you.

Did you try deleteing the iCloud account on the iPad? You will still need to use the old ID and password in order to delete the account.

Take it up with the developer. Apple did not make the app.
Yes, Apple does have a screening process or else there would be floods of scams. When you get your email receipt, click the Report a Problem link, follow the steps and say the item was not as described (depending on how you define "useless"). Sometimes a bad one slips through.

ITunes and iCloud not Working with Windows 7 64 bit ???

I just got a new computer running Windows 7 64 bit. I installed iTunes 10.5.2.11 (64 bit). First error was 'The file "iTunes Library.itl" cannot be read because it as created by a newer verion of iTunes.' I closed iTunes and renamed iTunes Library.itl to iTunes Library.itl-old. Of course when I restarted iTunes, I didn't have a library but that was just a minor problem. iTunes created a new file named Library.itl.
Now when I start iTunes it says 'A required iTunes component is not installed. Please repair or reinstall iTunes. (-4204).' There's an OK button so I click OK. That error goes away and then the next error is 'This iPod cannot be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove Tunes, then install the 64 bit version of iTunes.'
So I've uninstalled iTunes and reinstalled itunes about a dozen times. I downloaded it again to amke sure it was the latest version. Same errors every time. I uninstalled all my Apple stuff and reinstalled it. Same errors. Also, iCloud doesn't work. Error is "Application not found."
So ***? iTunes won't recognize my iPod touch or my iPad 2. Tried two different cables. Suggestions???

Photostream and iCloud not working post ios7

I have an iPhone 4S and mini ipad.. Since updating the phone no longer syncs to photostream however the ipad does sync and photos then appear on iPhone and ipad. Also today I get a message saying iCloud has not backed up for 2 weeks. All this coincides with the update to ios7. Anyone else experiencing this? As for getting the new photos I am taking on my iPhone to enter photostream I have no idea how to do this as to switch off and switch on photostream will result in all my photos in the cloud being deleted!

find my friends app didn't worked for me. guess because I had aktivate 'find my iPhone' with the old invalid AppleID.

Itunes updated for icloud not working

what happneed was i update my iphone 4 to ios 5 beta and downloaded the newest and latest itunes. It says i have itunes 10.3 installeed but wont recognized my iphone. I get a popup saying that my iphone cannot is not supported because i need to have the latest ithunes. I have updated twice and getting pretty frustrated.

You need to be in the developer program.
If you are in the developer program make sure your UDID is registered.
Make sure you have the right firmware for your iPhone 4 (AT&T or Verizon).
To update to the iOS 5 beta you need to be running iTunes 10.5 beta or higher. Not 10.3. 10.3 only supports iCloud features currently availible to the general public

IMessage and iCloud not working?

I have the iphone 5s. I recently moved to the Dominican Republic and my phone had no problems at first, but after about a month my imessage stopped working. It says "waiting for activation" but it's been about two weeks. I don't know if it's related, but another problem I have is with my iCloud. It says that to use iCloud I must agree to the new terms and conditions but every time I try to do so it says "unable to connect to server." If anyone has any idea how to help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Some images won't load in Safari, iTunes, iBooks and App Store

Since my upgrade to Mavericks, some images on Safari, iTunes, iBooks and App Store wont load some times. I can't figure out the source of problem, but I've tested all four apps and the same problem exists across all of them; I've also tested Chrome, Firefox and Opera to see if they are suffering from the same problem, and surprisingly enough I've found that they are not; They load images perfectly well, and I've never encountered one to not load images. I'm totally confused and frustrated, what is preventing Apple products to load images? Here are some screenshots:

Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. Then try Safari/History/Show History and delete all history items. Quit/reopen Safari and test. You can also try try Safari/Clear History and Web Site Data. The down side is it clears all cookies.Doing this may cause some sites to no longer recognize your computer as one that has visited the web site.

Do you have Restrictions set that prevent adding the apps? (Settings>General>Restrictions).
What happens whenyou tru to download the apps directly to the iPod.
