App Store Searches vs. iTunes App Store searches

Why do searches suck so bad on the App Store and return COMPLETELY different results than searches on the iTunes App store? Not only that, they don't even return a tenth of the apps available!

maybe they should name it something different?
or explain better that it has nothing to do with iTunes App Store, and that these apps are not for any ipod/itouch/ipad device, and strictly for the computer?

It did it with my old iPhone 4 in last month or so, and it I hoped it would go once I updated to new iPhone 5. The problem has transferred to new phone too.
I can't sign in to iTunes account on iPhone. It takes the password then resets to baseline. No error message comes up. On the base computer (pc) it will allow me to sign up and buy songs, apps etc. I can then sync the phone and put them on it. It just won't let me buy direct from the .
As there are no error messages I am at a loss what to do. I have updated the payment details on my account, and my husband has an iPhone 4 and has no such problems. We share the same wifi. I have tried with 3G as well as wifi, with no luck.
I am pretty much out of ideas, and have tried searching forums but there is so much overlap between queries that I can't find a similar problem from someone else, but I am sure it exists!
Can anyone please help me?

I figured it out!
I read a solution for something that sounded similar.
Anyone in similar position:
Open iTunes app on iPhone, and pick an option from bottom, such as music. Then scroll down to bottom of page and where your iTunes ID is, press on it, and pick sign out.
Then return to home screen, and double press home button and press and hold on first icon showing, until a minus symbol appears in the top left of icons present. Press on each minus symbol on each app in turn, until all app icons have disappeared. Then Restart the phone by pressing and hold the home button and the on/off/standby button at top of phone, until the apple symbol appears in centre of blank screen.
Swipe to turn phone fully on and open settings and scroll down to iTunes and apps option and tap that. Pick sign in and put in your apple ID, it will accept it and then return to home screen and open iTunes a you'll find it works fine
Simple really, but some like me won't think f this themselves!

I'm unable to locate the "Notes" app in my desktop iTunes App folder, however the "Notes" app is found on my iPhone and iPad ? Why am I unable to locate the "Notes" app at my desktop iTunes App folder. How can I sync the "Notes" entry information from my iPhone and iPad to my Desktop iTunes acct if the "Notes" icon is missing?. Notes is an app that is has been included in iOS for some time if not day one. Apps included in iOS do not appear in iTunes or the Store since they are included with the iOS software. Notes syncs up with the Notes feature in Mail on the Mac. Syncing is turned on through the iPhone/iPads sync settings Info tab in the Other box.

Why Is the rate my professor app not in the itunes app store?

I am not sure if it is just my phone, but a few of my peers with an IPhones have the rate my professor app. When I go to the app store and search "Rate my professor" the app doesn't show up. If anyone can assist me on what I should do it would be greatly appreciated.

It isn't just your phone. I found a link that should have directed me to the download but it gave the message that the app is not currently available. That can happen if an app has been withdrawn for a pending update or for any other reason. Why is Mozilla Firefox app not available in iTunes Canadian store (it is available in Us store).

When attempting to download app I am redirected to US store but then told I must have Us account but as a Canadian I cannot set up Us account.

The only app that has a connection to Firefox is "Bookmarks On The Go" based on the discontinued "Firefox Home" app by Mozilla.

Removing Apps from iPhone using iTunes Apps Sync Apps doesn't work

Im trying to manage the space on my iPhone 4 16GB, so when I go on hiloday I have enough space for photos and vacation movies.
When plugged in, iTunes shows my apps in the Apps tab. (it actually shows an extra page of apps which are not installed on my phone)
In iTunes I used to hover over an app, click the x to remove, confirm the prompt to delete and finally, sync. The app was gone from my phone.
Now this doesnt work.
The other way was to uncheck the app from my list of apps (in iTunes Apps tab), and then sync.
This doesnt work either.
I'm sure I used to use this method previously.
This is especially handy because itunes lists the applications by size, so I can easily see the ones that will free up the most space.
Is there any way to remove apps from the iPhone WITHOUT DOING IT ON THE PHONE?
Note: I have 'Sync Apps' ticked & 'automatically sync new apps' unticked.

Are the apps in your iTunes library using the same AppleID as the one signed into on your phone?

Is there a web version of the list of apps featured in the iTunes App Store?

I like seeing the apps that Apple features in their App Store, like their Collections, or Best of 2013, or their category lists (like "Get in Shape" for the Health category). However, I think the store is a little clunky and I just want to quickly browse latest apps.Is there a web-based version of these lists or are they listed on Apple's website anywhere?

The only Apple sites that I know of are less useful than using iTunes itself (or Mac App Store if you are referring to Mac Apps), they only list apps alphabetically or by popularity :

The check box for syncing apps not showing in iTunes Apps page

My new iPad is syncing Books, iTunes U, Movies and Music but not Apps. When I look in iTunes on my iMac the option box to sync apps is not there. It just says Apps all the other pages, Music, TV Show, Podcasts etc. have a check box for syncing. Any idea why Apps does not?

In the iTunes User Guide it shows a sync check box next to Apps as you can see it's not there.
I do see the Sync check box for Music, Movies, etc.

IPad's apps not showing in iTunes app management

We have iPad Air and now a brand new Macbook Air. After getting everything back from old Macbook Pro to MB Air using Time Machine I started to tweak with iPad again.
It finds the iPad just fine, sync seems to work, but in Apps tab I can't see any of the apps installed on iPad in the left column. I can't now move files between the laptop and iPad's VLC Player because of this. All the softwares is now up to date, but before the old laptop broke, it used older osx and possibly iTunes as well than now. Maybe sudden update to these have caused some kind of glitch and prevents me from seeing the apps using Macbook..? Any ideas?

Well, I don't really use iTunes that much, so there weren't any content in the library to recover. I have just installed a few apps straight to iPad using appstore on it. I use iTunes just to move some movie files to VLC.
So, at the beginning, I had
- Older MBP running Mountain Lion and possibly older version of iTunes. Also had iPad with few apps including VLC, installed on it straight from AppStore. Could access VLC in File Sharing menu via iTunes.
Then the laptop got broken and now
- I got Macbook Air with latest osx and itunes. Files and settings recovered from Time Machine. Everything seems to be in place and iPad gets recognized by iTunes
- When plugging iPad in, I can see apps installed on it for a while during sync (if I select Apps tab in iTunes as soon as I plug it in). The icons are grey and after sync is complete, they disappear from the list completely and I'm left with correct screenshots of iPad on right side, but nothing in the list to actually access the apps.
Edit: and to answer the question, the apps are still on iPad and running just fine. The access just isn't working for some reason

When i download an app onto my ipod touch, it downloads onto my moms iphone also, we have the same itunes account, but this never happened before (she had an iphone 3 and we still had the same account and nothing ike this ever happened) We also have seperate Iclud accounts, why is it doing this? and how can i fix it so that they download seperately? Previous itunes users apps listed in my itunes apps library

I inherited a computer at work from the previous user, and iTunes was already on the Windows 7 PC. I have no trouble logging in to my account and seeing all of my iPhone 4s apps. But.....
in iTunes, on the Library/Apps section, it tells me that I have 28 Updates Available. When I click on the Update button, I get "No updates are currently available. To check for updates for another Apple ID, sign in with that Apple ID."
That seems to say that the updates are available for my predecessor's device.
But since my predecessor is no longer at this company, and I don't know their Apple ID, how can I remove that information form the computer? Is there a way to track down the previous user's profile, perhaps in the registry, so I can delete it, and therefore only see that updates are available when it is for my apps?

I can't erase the internal drive, I don't have the admin rights to do that on the work computer.
I held the shift key down and launched iTunes but it didn't give me a chance to create a new library.
Is there any way the apps are marked somewhere so I can highlight those that are not mine and then delete them all at once? It's very time consuming, going through the list, deleting them one by one.
