App Store shows multiple safari 7.1 installs but safari still at 7.0.6
AppStore keeps telling me to update safari to 7.1 but is showing 10 installs of 7.1 although safari itself tells me it is still 7.0.6.
I stupidly upgraded to mavericks 10.9.5 this mooring ad since then various apps have slowed down or simply don't work including iMovie, Chrome and Firefox.
I usually wait a bit before upgrading OS X to let all the bugs get sorted out by beta testers but wasn't thinking and clicked on it.
Any idea how to make App Store either complete the upgrade it wants to do or to stop telling me to do it? I keep clicking on install but it has no effect other than to show another install.

App Store shows that I have 9 updates but all Apps are up to date I have tried re downloading all the updates. All Apps show the correct version number post update.

I purchased Fifa13 from the App Store, downloaded it in my pc..,but when i am trying to install it in my ipad frpm the pc, i couldnt do it. The installation process stops after some time and the ipad shows some thing like "can sync..,failed to install fifa13"

Just installed Mac OS X 10.8.5 on a Mac Pro 2010 platform.
The App Store shows there is an upgrade, so I click the download button.
After about 2 hrs the process stops and an Error (102) appears on the screen.
Any idea what goes wrong?

If the App Store is showing 10.8.5 as an update, what do you currently have installed? The final update to Mountain Lion was 10.8.5, and since the basic OS installation of Mountain Lion is no longer offered in the App Store, that would suggest you're currently at an earlier version of Mountain Lion - 10.8.x where x=less than 5. If that's the case, I'd suggest getting the 10.8.5 update. There is also a Supplemental Update for 10.8.5 and that may be what the App Store is offering. -

Can I get a direct download link other than from app storeTry opening the Terminal utility in your system and running the following command to open the system's caches folder:
open $TMPDIR../C
Then locate and remove the folder called "com.apple.appstore" and then try relaunching the App Store and downloading the installer again. -
I have tried to install lion last night and it stopped by slow internet connection. I paid through App Store and i tried again today but APP Store show installed. How can I install again?
If you cannot resume the download, try to start the Installation Application in your /Applications Folder. If that does not work, delete the Installation Application and try to reload it. If that still does not work, contact Apple would be my best tipp

Mavericks installed but app store shows "download" not "installed"
I installed Mavericks on my new (Christmas 2013 Macbook Air) and updated all other apps associated with Mavericks. When I visit the app store it shows download on Mavericks app but all others show "installed".
I checked the app installed and in "about this mac" it shows I have 10.9.1. Why won't the app store show it is installed and should I do something else to complete the install?Asked and answered a zillion times since the advent of OS X Lion as a direct download. Please do a forum search before posting.
The Mac App Store is about apps, not whether an OS is installed. What you got from the MAS was an app, the OS X Mavericks Installer. It self-deletes when it finishes successfully installing the OS. The reason it says Download is in case you need to download the installer app again. -

Apps are permanently tied to the account used to download them. It was behaving exactly as it should have.

After 4 months of non activity (I have been away) I checked for updates. The App Store shows 2 in its icon. When clicking to open it opens but nothing is there - feels like a dead-end. How to make App Store work?

The App store is a problem for many and I have not seen a solution.
What is "wrong" with your Apple ID?
Try the following:
- A reset. Nothing is lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory settings/new iPod. -
My App Store shows 3 updates but when I go to it the screen is blank. It will not give me the option to update all or one at a time, it doesn't show the apps at all.
Many people are having this problem for the last couple of days. This is a problem that Apple has to fix. If you look around the forum, you will see many, many discusssions about this and they have been going on for a few days.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this is a workaround - for the time being.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store. -
I downloaded Pandora a while back. My 12 year old nieces were playing with my iPad and now the Pandora icon is not on my screen. The app store shows that it needs to be updated, but I can't do it. What can it do to recover my Pandora program?

My frustration is that this old app has now caused a glitch in my Apple App Store icon. I have a red badge with one update and it is referring to the old app that has been sold that needs to be updated. When I try to update the app it says no longer available for purchase. So I have since deleted that app in hopes that it would resolve the red badge issue. It has not. Somehow, that old app and the new app with the same name but by a different company has caused the glitch. I have reset all settings on my iPad, I have rebooted, I have deleted the app and still the red badge with the one update for the old app is there. Hmmm. . . I guess I need to take this into the Genius bar or wait for ios 7 in hopes that it will fix the glitch. Thanks again for your help.
