App store update not updating printer software but is permanently requesting to do so how do I remove it ?.

App Store cannot complete an update which I no longer require, how do I remove the update request please.

If the iPhone is displaying a screen that says connect to iTunes, the device is in Recovery mode and the only alternative you have is to connect it to iTunes to restore it. If you do not have a computer, then see if you can use someone elses, or make an apppointment at the Genius Bar for help.

  • App Store Update print too small--magnify app?

With large screen(s) these days, there is no reason for fine print. In Safari, a quick <Command>+ makes the text bigger to read without a magnifying glass. While watching my macbook pro upgrade to OS X 10.10.1 today, I was trying to read What's new in Safari 8.0.2 but the print is so small I had to get my new reading glasses.
Wouldn't it be nice if all programs had the same feature as Safari to enlarge the text and take advantage of the new larger 5k high res screens? Apple Help does.
While we're waiting for all the developers to support readable text, can anyone recommend a magnifier app?
Am I really getting so old I have to go to the Accessibility preferences? Can I get the senior discount? Can I have the Talking Moose read me the text from any app?

I remember the day when the Cray supercomputer had 8 processors!

However this does point to a bug in the app store update feature.  There should be some way to force a check of applications that updated but are still showing as needed in the app store.

  • App Store does not acknowledge installed software

    Hi,
I was wondering if someone could explain something to me.
When the Mac App store first launched, I was able to see if updates were available for software already installed on my MacBook Pro (iLife, iWork, Delicious Library 2, etc.).  Even though these programs were installed from DVD's supplied with the computer (iLife, iWork), or downloaded from the developers web site (Delicious Library 2), the App Store would show these applications as "installed" on my computer, and would advise me if updates were available.
Now, for some reason, all of these programs are showing on the Mac App Store as available for purchase, even though I already have them installed! I can see the point if a new version of the software is released (iLife 11), but the other programs are the same versions currently available on the Store. The only updates that I am notified about are those relating to software purchased direct from the App Store itself
Has the App Store changed to only recognise software purchased from itself, and is this Apple's way of discouraging us from buying software from other sources?
    Any comments would be appreciated.

Yes, when the Mac App Store first launched here in the UK it showed iLife, iWork, and Delicious Library 2 as "installed" on my MacBook Pro.  All of the above were installed from disk or from download prior to the MAS being launched.  I was even provided with an update for Delicious Library 2 from the MAS, which I installed.  They no longer showed as "installed" after the MAS was updated
Sine I made my original post, I have read elsewhere that this was an error in the original release that was "corrected" in later updates.  This is a pity, because I am unable to update the apps via the MAS.
As for your previous post, Apple will provide updates to these apps as they are available for purchase via the MAS and therefore any updates will also be available from Apple via the MAS.  However, if you have purchased the software from another source, say the developer's web site, then you won't be able to update via the MAS.  This is what made me think that Apple are trying to "discourage" users from buying apps from sources other than the MAS.

  • App Store does not recognize my id, but works

I have my MacBook Pro 15 (2013), iPad, iPad mini, and an iPhone 4. For some reason I could not menage to sinc iPhone reminders with MacBook. Just downloaded tweeter on my iPhone and got the message saying that somebody used my id from unauthorised device. The funny thing is my phone has same credit card information that other devices, and shows that I am signed in with the same id. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Your advice did not help me. I also installed 10.7.4 combo but the situation is the same.
my internet connection is ok, mail is ok, but app store after 3 resets does not recognize my ID and it says "connection is not possible". Why? I have the same problem in both my mac mini late 2009 and mac book air 2010? Is it a problem of 10.7.4 update? I have to solve this problem and how can i return to 10.7.3 if my last backup was not with 10.7.3???thank you for your kind collaboration...

  • How can I get Apple Remote Desktop to disappear from my App Store updates list?

My Apple Remote Desktop software shows up in my App Store updates list.  But I have already updated it to version 3.6.1 and it shows as "Installed".  It is greyed out and will not go away.  Any ideas on how to make it disappear is most appreciated.

All the suggestions I have read have not worked for me.
    But you can try:
Running Software Update from the Apple Menu
Logging in to the Mac App Store with the account that purchased ARD
Deleting various Apple Store .plist files
NB I haven't tried removind ARD and reinstalling.

  • TS1702 Apps are 'frozen' on App Store Update Page - After Updating

I've gone from non-stop App Store updates to zero App Store updates on my iPhone 5.
However, the App Store Update Page just will not clear now. All are downloaded and that usually clears this page until the next updates are ready for download.
Anyway, no luck ridding myself of these already downloaded Apps from the App Store Update Page. I
I've opened each App from this page, tried force closing the App Store and rebooting etc.
I tried deleting all the "frozen" Apps. They disappeared from the App Store update page. But once I went and downloaded the Apps again (this time using iTunes (to circumvent the device App Store) they appeared right back on the same page.

There is, currently, no way to remove them. Whether by design or not, is not known. I thought they rolled off after a week, but I can confirm they don't.

I guess I will wrap this up. I have abandoned iPhoto and viewing my Photo Streams using it and moved to Adobe products (Bridge + PS). So that's that.

    Hello,
I get but not the app. store in my dock.
App. store is not installed, how do I do it for each other?
I have my apple software update.
App.store app but after my update is not in the dock and system.
    Kees.

    Hi Kees ...
Your profile indicates you are running Leopard v10.5.8
You need to upgrade to Snow Leopard V10.6 in order to use the App Store. This is an "upgrade", not an "update".
Make sure your Mac meets Snow Leopard's requirements here.
You must have the minimum of v10.6.6 installed in order to access the App Store.
You can purchase Snow Leopard here > Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store

I just updated the new software and now my app store will not work I have shut it down and opened up again and nothing just a blank white page ?

    I'm having a similar problem.
New iPad with iOS6 just downloaded.

Hmmmm... would appear that you need to be actually logged in to enable the additional menu features.
Have you tried deletting the plists for MAS?
This page might help you out...

I updated my mac 10.8 to mavericks but after installation the app store ask for the same software update again..i have a slow connection..i cannot install it again and again..what should i do?

In case you are not aware, Mavericks requires a high speed broadband connection.
In the event you need to restore or repair the starutp disk, OS X Recovery also requires a broadband connection as noted here >  About OS X Recovery
You can check your download speed here > Speedtest.net
15Mbps or less, you may not be able to install Mavericks or use OS X Recovery.

    Content and Apple IDs -
Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple Id to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with another Apple ID with a new ID.
