App Store updates will not show up on screen

I currently have updates available, but when I go to the App Store update, nothing shows up on the screen.  Just the update indicator on the App Store icon showing the number 5.

Try this workaround
App Store>Purchased>Select "All"
Note: Look out for apps that have the word "Update"

  • App Store updates will not load.

App Store updates will not load. It shows that I have 4 updates but all I get is a blank white screen. I have also tried closing the app and restarting my ipad and it still will not work.

Many people are having this problem for the last couple of days. According to Fly150 in another discussion, this will work.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
    1. Go to App Store
    2. Select Purchased
    3. Select All
    4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
    5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store.

  • App store updates are not showing

App store updates are not showing since yesterday

Agreed. Since installing iOS 7 I seem to have to open the App Store before available updates show. I currently have background app refreshes switched "on" but no apps actually selected from the list.

  • My iphone wont let me download bbm because it is saying i have got it on app store but will not show up on my home screen

My iphone wont let me download bbm because it claims ive already got it on apple app store , but the app will not show on home screen nor on settings

No, iTunes never says an iPhone is not authorized.
This is occurring on a computer, correct?
Is the computer authorized for the account the media or apps were acquired with?

  • App Store updates will not come up

I have 9 updates on app icon but when I press it they do not come up.  Rest of App Store icons work but update does not

This is a problem that many users are experiencing now and have been seeing for days. Apple is working on the fix for this.

if nothing else works, update the apps in iTunes on your computer and sync them to the iPad.

  • App store updates will not download / update

I have four updates for applications available in the App store. If I click on Update for each or all, the App Store indicates it is updating, but the gear wheel just spins and the updates never download or install. Can't seem to find a solution. I tried repairing disk permissions and such, no joy. Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

I would try with some basic troubleshooting....
    - restart your computer
    - verify that you are connected to the internet, by launching safari
    - if you are connected, quit all open applications, then only open the Mac Apps store
    - try to install just one software update
NOTE - when connecting wireless, you are going through a router.  The router may have some of the "ports" blocked that are required to get these updates, and therefore connecting to the internet direct wire, would be my next step in troubleshooting

  • App Store update badge not showing

I'm using iOS 6, and I haven't had any issues with this before.  Recently, the little red badges notifying me there's an update have not been appearing.  I haven't changed anything, and there's no option for it under the Notification settings.

I noticed that myself....I have no clue why that is occurring.
I chcek them in the App store periodically.

  • App store update does not clear after update applied

I just got my iphone not too long ago.  I updated yesterday via iTunes the applications on my iphone.  the app store still shows one of the apps, numbers as needing updating but the application is already updated.  How do I clear this spurious flag that should not be there?

However this does point to a bug in the app store update feature.  There should be some way to force a check of applications that updated but are still showing as needed in the app store.

  • App Store login sheet not showing

I upgraded my MacBook to Mac OS X 10.6.5 to 10.6.6. Upon restarting, I opened the App Store and clicked sign in under the Store menu. Nothing showed up. I clicked on the item several more times, and then I looked in Console. Two error messages were present and are as follows:
1/6/11 5:45:59 PM App Store[255] Could not connect the action createNewAccount: to target of class CKSignInPrompt
1/6/11 5:45:59 PM App Store[255] NSConcreteMutableAttributedString initWithString:: nil value
    Thanks,

Thanks for the reply David. No I don't run software like FruitMenu. Despite the developer's claims to the contrary, I've seen it interfere with standard Mac Apps.
The solution for me is shown in this thread <http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=12879665&#12879665>.
Basically, you download the full 10.6.6 update, unpackage it, delete the CommerceKit.framework on your machine via "sudo rm -fr /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CommerceKit*" ( without the quotes ) and then copy the unpackaged version to your system folder via: "sudo cp -R ~/Desktop/MacOSXUpd10.6.6/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/CommerceKit.framewor k /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/
The complete 12 step process is provided by NSFW80303 ( thank you !) at that link. This is most likely to happen if you have the developer beta ( as I did ) of 10.6.6, used reversioner and then applied the 10.6.6 Software Update.

  • App Store update is not working. Just see a white screen

Does anyone know why my iPad App Store update has stopped working?

Read this on iLounge posted by ahMEmon
Go into Settings > General > International > Language and choose British English, then hit the Done button. The screen will go black with a comment about Language Settings. Be Patient, especially if you have a lot of apps. Let it run it's course and Then open the App Store again. Voila! Upgrade list is back. And it stuck when i changed back to plain English. He doesn't know why. I don't either. But I am now a happy camper. Worked on my 3rd gen iPad and iPad Mini.
    Hope it works for you!

  • Apple remote desktop will not show my  computer screen on class screens

    Hi
I hope someone can help. i have just set up a mac suite running latest OS X 10.10 using apple remote desktop. The system is a bit sensitive but mostly works fine. The odd computer drops off etc.
However, I want to be able to show the teacher computer on all of the class screens as the projector screen is quite small at the front of the class. When I set up screen share it says it is working but it does not show on their screens. They do get a screen sharing message on the menu bar of their computers but nothing happens. Am I missing a setting? I think I am doing right!
    thanks
    Tim

    Hi jsyedu129,
Wondering if you found a solutions to your problem. I'm having the same problem. Can't not share my screen with classroom computers. Love to know if you have got this to work.

  • App store in UK not showing updates on Itunes but showing them on devices, App store in UK not showing updates on Itunes but showing them on devices

When are the App updates on the UK App Store through iTunes going to start shopwing up?
I have 3 devices all showing App Updates. They can be updates through the device.  iTunes 11.1.3.8 however says all my Apps are up-to-date, which they are not (and before anybody says anything - i only have 1 email adddress and 1 account and the stupid suggestion of moving a QT dll is never going to fix the App Store not detecting new apps).
It is damned inconvenient and rather labourous updating the same App on 3 devices, not to mention a cmplete waste of precious bandwidth.

    Hello,
Thanks for your advice. Even though I did not take your advice, I guess it randomly worked! I went into the App Store, and went into a search. Then I went back to updates and it showed up. Even after they were updated, the updates section was working again. Instead of showing a blank screen, now it shows the usual "There are no updates" message.
Just a tip, if you have not updated recently, Angry birds has an update. You might want to search for that. I think apple pushed a silent update to the App Store to fix the issue.
Can someone please confirm that the issue is fixed? Then my question will be solved.

  • After clicking Mac App store "Updates" tab, it shows me an empty page. Note that 1 update is pending.

Mac App store showing 1 pending update, but when I click "Updates" tab, it shows an empty page. Have tried resetting PRAM, SMC, Safe Mode, removing all third party Apps. When I reinstall OS X Mavericks or Yosemite, the problem appears again. I have tried uploading screenshot, but when try to confirm, nothing happens. Seems like some problem with Internet connection...

  • App store update continue to show available on Macbook Air when one is not actually available

My macbook air continues to show an update available in App Store, but when App Store is then opened, one does not show available.  Also, neither my iPad nor iPhone 4S shows an update like this.  Remains through restarts, shutting down, etc.  Any ideas?

First, the App Stores for OS X (Macs) and iOS (iPhones/iPads) are two completely different things.
Next, are we talking a system update or an app update?
Either way, under Updates it should show up with an Install button. No? Then it's probably an app which you've earlier been hiding from the list of purchased items. You can unhide it it your account (follow the Account link e.g. in the right pane under Spotlight).

  • Yosemite App Store error will not update large item

Had a problem I wish to share with the community which I was able to solve and it points to a particular error in this first release of Yosemite which may strike many other users.  I am on a DSL connection and it's unreliable.  Usually App Store is good about pausing or restarting downloads of large updates but on a couple of occasions, it refused to update a few items (Xcode and Pages come to mind) and this is what I found to be the problem...  LAUNCH PAD!
If App store refuses to install or download an update, for some reason there is a direct connection with this problem and launch Pad.  Go into Launch Pad and look for the item you are having trouble with.  Click its icon, double click its icon, or if those don't work, hold alt and click the X on the corner of the item's icon then if its deleted from your Mac, go back into App Store into the prior purchases area and redownload it again.
I hope this helps someone else.  I know figuring out the connection between Launch Pad and update issues took me forever to figure out.  This may save someone out there struggling a lot of time to know.

I would try with some basic troubleshooting....
    - restart your computer
    - verify that you are connected to the internet, by launching safari
    - if you are connected, quit all open applications, then only open the Mac Apps store
    - try to install just one software update
