App Store won't download lion

I'm trying to upgrade to Lion but the App Store is telling me "We could not complete your purchase. Mac OS X 10.7 requires at least 2 GB of memory"
I have just done an overhaul and reinstalled OSX, updated back up to Snow Leopard, made sure everything was up to date, just checked again before posting this question up. I have over 200 GB available, Memory is 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. This is the second time I have gone through this procedure, but I'm still having the same problem. Any ideas?

Nevermind. It seems it is too hard to clearly outline the difference between hard drive size and RAM.

  • Mountain Lion from Apps Store won't download?

Purchased Mountain Lion from Apps Store - but it will not havedoIwnload. The Icon just appears and it says " waiting " for an hour or so and does nothing?

Yes as long as these are both your computers. Transfer target disk mode, USB flash drive, external HD, DVD, Dropbox, etc
Are the computer close by and portable or at a distance??  This might dictate how you move your download.

  • App store won't download updates

Recently, I've been attempting to download updates for a few of my apps.  I'm not getting any error messages, but as of now it has been stuck with the little loading wheel on and zero download progress for the last two hours.  I am on a 2.5 mbps connection, and have never had any problems with download speed until now.  I have restarted twice already, to no effect.  I'm about to try booting from my backup, but I'd rather not have to copy over my hard drive just to get the app store working properly.
    Thanks.

This might be a Lion problem and while we all have MacBooks in this forum most of us don’t have Lion. There's a Lion Support Community where everybody has Lion. You should also post this question there. https://discussions.apple.com/community/mac_os/mac_os_x_v10.7_lion

  • The apps I get from the App Store won't download all the way?

I Have gotten some apps from the App Store and they won't download all the way. It says that they are waiting. Also some of my already downloaded apps that need updates won't  update and I can't get into them. Please  help me I'm new at all of this stuff.

I have posted these suggestions for the "waiting" apps issue many times in the past. Many of these suggestions have worked for others in the past. Hopefully, one of them will work for you.
    1. Tap the "waiting" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume. If that works, repeat the same steps for each "waiting" icon.
    2. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    3. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first.
    4. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
    5. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. Apps may also be able to be deleted in Settings>General>Usage>Storage if you cannot get the X to pop up on the icon.
    6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
    7. If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

  • I pad 2 app Store won't download updates

On my iPad 2, I am able to download any applications on the App Store icon, but when I go to Udates, it give me the message: "Cannot connect to iTunes Store". Does anyone know how to fixed this problem?

Try logging out of your account on the iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > Store and then log back in and see if it then works.
If that doesn't solve it then what has worked for some people is going into Settings > General > Date & Time and change the date to a few months (or more) in the future and then re-trying

  • My applications I purchased from the App Store won't download, help?

I recently started downloading like 15 applications all at the same time on my Macbook Pro. One application fully downloaded and was installed, but the other fourteen or so are stuck in "Waiting...". I've tried going to the app store and hitting install over the applications, but that wouldn't make them proceed with the downloads. Im confused on what to do, will someone help me?

There are two ways to recover from this condition.
    1. Select
              Store ▹ View My Account
from the App Store menu bar, then select View hidden purchases. Stop or resume the download.
    2. Open LaunchPad and find the icon of the app you're trying to install. There will be a small progress bar below it. Click the "X" to stop the download.

  • My ipad 2 app store won't work

I don't know why, but my app store won't download.
I Deseret my iPad.... And it's taking for ever just to sign in my apple I. D
    What to do?

Do you mean that the apps are taking forever to download?
Have you tried to quitting the app store and restarting the iPad?
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Quit/close open apps by double tapping the home button and the task bar will appear with all of you recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner to close the apps. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.

  • Mac App Store won't allow re-downloading of deleted apps

I am experiencing very glitchy behaviour with the Mac App Store.  The store can't tell when individual apps are deleted, and therefore won't allow re-download.  This has been going on for a while - when I click on the Purchases tab all Apps are still listed as Installed and the button is greyed out - I can't click to re-download.  At the same time, an app that I previously did download and later removed called Cobook won't delete from the computer - after a few minutes to an hour it will re-appear in my Applications folder.
I have done a clean re-install of Mountain Lion trying to fix this problem, however the same problem exists even after a re-install - Apps that had been deleted prior to the clean install are still greyed out in the Purchases tab, and can't be re-downloaded.  The only way that Apps can be re-installed is to use Time Machine backup.  I am concerned that this means that updates also aren't working, since the App Store doesn't seem to know what Apps are on my computer and which ones aren't.
Yes I am using the correct Apple ID assocaited with the purchases.  My purchase history shows up just fine in the Purchases tab, its just that they are stuck showing that they are currently installed, even the ones that aren't.
    Mountain Lion 10.8.2, 21.5" iMac (mid-2011).

The problem is possibly worse than I expected.  Since the clean re-install, now any App purchased and downloaded via App Store won't appear in the Purchases tab.  So in other words, although the download seems to work correctly, and the app works, the App Store seems to lose all track of it.  Which is a problem for paid apps.

  • I downloaded the mountain lion from the app store and it downloaded. when i installed the mountain lion it said that the hd disk is broken and cannot be repaired, and the other disk doesnt have enough space!

I downloaded the mountain lion from the app store and it downloaded. When i installed the mountain lion it said that the hd disk is broken and cannot be repaired, and the other disk doesnt have enough space! HELP and i cannot return to my desktop with the old sofware so i cant use my computer normaly

This error means that your hard drive is badly corrupt and cannot be repaired by Disk Utility. Since you say you don't have backups, this is very bad news. You may already have lost data irrevocably.
First order of business needs to be backing up whatever you can, but this may be difficult to do if the machine won't start up any more. See step 1 of the following post:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/21614450#21614450
Once you have backed up your data, you can address the other issues.

This is a User's Forum, yelling at us won't help. You have 90 days of customer support via telephone. Use them as they can interact with their system and hopefully get you back on track. Otherwise take it to them at the Genius Bar and have them make it good.

  • Iphoto won't down load because My mac is a lion 10.75 I need 10.10?how do I download iPhoto, and other apps that won't download?

iPhoto app won't down load because My mac is a lion 10.7.5 I need 10.10 ? how do I download iPhoto, and other apps that won't download? They were uninstalled by mackeeper (with me as an unwitting accomplice Thanks
I've reinstalled lion os 10.7.5 and got the app store app back.
Even though iPhoto etc are purchased by me in app store, theres no way they'll download.

    then
    reinstall from the original source
    Could be
1 - the restore disks that came with the computer - if it came with CDs and you do not know where they are then contact Apple to see if they can be replaced
    or
2 - the iLife DVD that you purchased
    or
3 - the app store - log in under the Apple id used to purchase the software or to set up the computer - look under purchases - you might have to unhide or accept the Application first

I am a librarian at a 1:1 iPad school and we are having this problem with all ~3000 student iPads as well at ~300 teacher iPads.  This is extremely frustrating.  I have tried suggested fixes found on other discussion boards but none have worked.

  • My app store won't let me download none of the older versions of apps for my ipod touch 2g.

My app store won't let me download any of the older versions of an app, but in my sisters case she can and she has an ipod touch 2g just like me. She was able to download kik, twitter, instagram, and some more apps that told me I had to have ios 4.3.1 or higher to download. and theres only one app I want and its kik, can someone help me figure out whats wrong with my app store, it would be a great help.

Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.
