App store won't let me download apps but wont let me reove billing info for FREE app downloads.

I cannot download apps anymore. Free apps. I used a card of mine that had a few dollars on it to purchase two games that were 99 cents. I had close to three dollars. But now I cannot update or download my apps thanks to a SEEMINGLY bad billing account. Thanks, but its not bad. There is enough for it to be taken out, and still have money left in there. I've done the math. But because of this issue, I can no longer download free apps, nor update the ones I have. Nor will my account allow me to REMOVE my billing info. Can someone help me out please?

If you were trying to use a debit card then they I don't think that they are still accepted in all countries,or your card issue may have declined the purchases. Do you have a different card that you could try so that what you owe can be paid, or are iTunes gift cards available in your country so that you can redeem one onto your account - if iTunes thinks that you owe money then you won't be able to download anything until what is owed is paid, or you've contacted iTunes Support and they've agreed that you don't owe anything

  • Billing info for free apps on phone.

Why am I being asked for billing information before downloading new FREE apps on my phone?

You have to have a credit card associated with your iTunes store ID unless you created it this way: Create an iTunes Store, App Store, or iBooks Store account without a credit card or other payment method.

  • Billing info for free apps?

Why apple wont let me download free apps if i dont have money on my credit card?I dont get that, they only accept the billing info if "you" have ballance on that credit card, thats not right. For paid apps its normal, but for free???

I know why that card is being declined now.....it seems that i owe them 0.89$ for need for speed most wanted ,the payment was aproved back then and i downloaded that game but they didn't take that amount right away, so  2 days later when that account got empty they couldn't take that amount.Well, its not my fault that it takes the bank that much time to send those payment's,now i have to wait 3 weeks like i said to fix this issue.I wonder ...if i delete the game ....they forget about that 0,89$? ?? )))))))) This is the 1'st time i see this in online payment history

  • App store keeps asking for my credit card info for free apps!??

Every time I go to get a free app, I keep getting asked for my credit card info to be updated. If it's free, why is my credit card info needed!?? I don't want to get charged, so I cancel out of the credit card request, it's not worth trying to get unwanted charges taken off. I would write to Apple but for some strange reason they refuse to use email for help. So, guess I will just try here.
    Thanks,
    Jim

    Hello All,
Even I do faced same issue on my iphone 5 recently, because I had updated my credit card details while purchasing 'whats app'. Later on if I try do down load free apps, it started asking me verify payment info..I got frustrated and tried to remove apple id and create the same id and reset networksettings, but issue not resolved.!!
    Possible scenarios of it occures:
    1. While creating your apple id you might have given credit card info an dlater that got modified/expired
    2. Once you buy anything by using credit card that info will be updated to your apple id, so it asks every time
    Resolution:
Just remove your credit card details from payment information
setting > icloud > account > payment information -- remove ur credit card info , done done
Then try to download free app, it will only asks for apple password, It will not ask for 'payment verification'
    Thank you
    Krish

  • Want to access App Store, it asks for my billing info for free installs. Is that authentic

I have had to get a new debit card with a new number and a new security number on the back. I can't remember my security number from my old card.  Any suggestions on how to update billing info when I'm in the App Store.

If None is not available - On your computer launch iTunes and click “iTunes Store” in the left navigation pane. Click the “down arrow” next to your name at the top right side of the page and click “Account.” Enter your username and password and click “View Account” to log into your account information. Next to your Payment Type, click “Edit.” Select the “None” button and click “Done.” Confirm that your card has been removed by returning to the Apple account information screen. Under Payment Type, it should say that there is no credit card on file.

  • Credit Card info for FREE apps

I just got a new iphone, I am trying to download facebook on it, and it shows in the apps folder that it's FREE, but when I click to INSTALL it keeps asking me to verify my credit card security ID. Why do I have to give credit card info to download and install a FREE app?

The credit card associated with your iTunes account perhaps changed or something. A valid credit card is needed for iTunes purchases regardless of their cost (or lack of).
Actaully a Itunes card added the account will do the same exact thing. Added a CC, then a itunes card then deleted the cc, can get any free app I want

  • My app store won't load

My app store won't load at all. All it does is say loading. FOR EVER!!!! Please help. Also some of my Internet things won't work like YouTube, safari(sometimes), etc. Please help. Also my iPod is a 2nd Gen with iOS 4.2.1.

Try to apply the combo update from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1361.  It won't erase any of your files but would just reapply the downloaded 10.6.7 version which should fix the Mac App Store issue you're experiencing.

  • Billing Info bug. I have to verify my billing info every time I download an app.

Every time I download an app for my iPhone 4, it prompts me to verify my billing info, each time charging $1 to my credit card. It becomes annoying when I download quite a few apps each day. It starts to add up. This is an obvious bug does anyone know how to fix it or has anyone heard from apple as to the cause?

Just confirmed with apple that the $1 charges wont actually be completed. They are just to check to see if credit card is active. But even so that money becomes unavailable in my account while verification is happening. Still very annoying in itself to have to verify my billing info for every single download.

  • My app store won't let me download none of the older versions of apps for my ipod touch 2g.

My app store won't let me download any of the older versions of an app, but in my sisters case she can and she has an ipod touch 2g just like me. She was able to download kik, twitter, instagram, and some more apps that told me I had to have ios 4.3.1 or higher to download. and theres only one app I want and its kik, can someone help me figure out whats wrong with my app store, it would be a great help.

Starting when iOS 7 was released, Apple now allows downloading the last compatible version of some apps (iOS 4.2.1 and later only)
App Store: Downloading Older Versions of Apps on iOS - Apple Club
App Store: Install the latest compatible version of an app
You first have to download the non-compatible version on your computer. Then when you try to purchase the version on your iPod you will be offered a compatible version if one exists.

I am a librarian at a 1:1 iPad school and we are having this problem with all ~3000 student iPads as well at ~300 teacher iPads.  This is extremely frustrating.  I have tried suggested fixes found on other discussion boards but none have worked.

My app store won't allow me to download any apps because of pervious purchase which I never purchased ?

I'm sure you purchased it since no one else would have your password to download apps
Make sure your CC has funds on it and its up to date on your itunes store account.

  • Mac App Store won't allow re-downloading of deleted apps

I am experiencing very glitchy behaviour with the Mac App Store.  The store can't tell when individual apps are deleted, and therefore won't allow re-download.  This has been going on for a while - when I click on the Purchases tab all Apps are still listed as Installed and the button is greyed out - I can't click to re-download.  At the same time, an app that I previously did download and later removed called Cobook won't delete from the computer - after a few minutes to an hour it will re-appear in my Applications folder.
I have done a clean re-install of Mountain Lion trying to fix this problem, however the same problem exists even after a re-install - Apps that had been deleted prior to the clean install are still greyed out in the Purchases tab, and can't be re-downloaded.  The only way that Apps can be re-installed is to use Time Machine backup.  I am concerned that this means that updates also aren't working, since the App Store doesn't seem to know what Apps are on my computer and which ones aren't.
Yes I am using the correct Apple ID assocaited with the purchases.  My purchase history shows up just fine in the Purchases tab, its just that they are stuck showing that they are currently installed, even the ones that aren't.
    Mountain Lion 10.8.2, 21.5" iMac (mid-2011).

The problem is possibly worse than I expected.  Since the clean re-install, now any App purchased and downloaded via App Store won't appear in the Purchases tab.  So in other words, although the download seems to work correctly, and the app works, the App Store seems to lose all track of it.  Which is a problem for paid apps.
