App Sync Problem

When I buy Apps from the Apple store on my PC, I can't seem to get them to download onto my iPod touch? I set my iPod Touch to automatically sync so I thought the apps would automatically download when the computer performs it's sync operation when I dock my iPod Touch, but it doesn't.

Try trashing your iPod's *Photo Cache* as described in this article to see if that helps.

Viber Contacts and Contacts App Sync Problems

Problem:
I see all the contacts only in Viber contact list, but do not see them in my contacts app

How to make all contacts from Viber contact list appear in contacts app?
How do I sync or what do I do, so my dad has his contacts back?
Me (iPad) and my dad (iPhone 5s) are using the same apple ID, (but we live in different countries), recently all of the contacts from his phone has been transferred to my device. This has never happened before, so I decided he just pressed something that has synced our devices.
About 1500 of his phone contacts has been added to my contacts - after I deleted them, they were also deleted from his phone. I tried to backup from iCloud (the last restore was 2 days ago, while I still had his contacts), but it did nothing - I still had only my contacts. Then I restored backup from my macbook and the contacts appeared, all of his and mine, but the problem is that they appeared only in Viber and none of them appeared in Contacts App. I tried syncing again with iTunes and iCloud, but got the same old contacts without his, so I had to restore backup again.

UPD: I've put contacts back to contact book by going into vibe settings and choosing which contacts to show.
But the sync problem still persists: If I connect to wi-fi or computer it syncs and Im getting my old contacts, not contacts from both devices
How do I import all, new list of contacts back into iCloud?

App syncing problem

i downloaded an espn app for my iphone.....when i try to sync it to my computer they tell me that all files on my iphones will be deleted...but i wnt to keep them too....wat do i do!!!

I forgot to mention that previous to the iTunes 10.5 upgrade the Sync Apps checkbox was always checked and all apps synced as expected.

IPhone 4 apps sync problem

This is what I have and with what I have to work it.
- iPhone 4 v5.0.1
- iTunes v10.5.1.42
- HP Pavilion Slimline with Windows Vista Home Premium
Every single time I plug in my iPhone 4 into the computer and I open the iTunes 10, both items start to sync with each other without me doing nothing. I have already uncheack every single option I can find to enable auto sync. But actually the sync do not bother me, I was actually happy that this lil dude can talk with other Mac products and be happy.
My problem, and the very issue that bring me to open this threat its, every single time my iPhone 4 sync with my iTunes 10, the Constacts, Calendar, Notes sync like a charm with Outlook, smooth and sweet with a dream, but the iTunes erase all my apps from the iPhone 4 and the iPhone 4 download into the iTunes 10 the few app I have buy from App Store between my last sync and now. And thats REALLY ******* me off, how can I make, what can I do to tell the iTunes 10 to let the iPhone 4 apps in peace?
To prevent the erase, every single time I plug in my iPhone 4 and open my iTunes 10, I have to be quick to stop manually the autosync (before I lost all my apps, again) and manually make a right-click and transfer what I have in the iPhone 4 to the iTunes 10, and then manually sync the two. The is a way to keep the apps in the iPhone 4 and just tranfer the new ones as a Blackup into the iTunes 10?
I can always can manually download the apps again from the iCloud, but... if I have many apps that take forever. Every single time I sync.

As this is not my first Iphone nor my first Itunes device that really doesnt help me. I'm well aware of how to sync, and do pretty much anything Itunes allows, and with the knowledge I have aquired form the years of using Itunes am not very happy with the new Itunes. My problem still persists unable to sync, and storage still showing less room than actual. Thanks for the try though. I'm going to attempt to uninstall again and hopefully it works.

Kindle app sync problem

For the last month or so, I have been unable to sync my Kindle with the iPhone app. I have had several unsuccessful and long sessions with Amazon support which involved lots of hoops including deleting and reinstalling the app, resetting the Kindle, etc. As we left it several weeks ago, the Amazon rep was to refer the case to their engineers. I am still waiting for a response.
This problem developed about the time of an update to the app (July 2), so I suspect there may be some bug in the update although I was told that my problem is "islolated." I would be interested to know if anyone here is now having this problem and when it may have started. I would also be interested to know if anyone is not having this problem

I can do everything that I want to on each platform but cant sync them up.
Bookmarks are (is) the thing that I notice most often. Normally, I add one on the iPad and there it is on the Kindle when I pick it up; now its not there. When I hit sync, it tyys to then I get the "sync failed" alert. I can live with it, but it is bugging me.

Ghost Apps (Syncing Problem)

Ok, I came across a very odd problem. I have a 3rd Gen 32GB iPod Touch that had previously been synced to another computer with another Apple ID. It had apps still on it. When I synced it to my computer (new computer) with no Apple ID, nothing happened. When I got an Apple ID, I tried to sync it again, (same computer) it did not offer to erase the apps from the previous account. I kinda wanted to erase the old apps, so I could start anew. So I don't want to sound stupid, but I could really use some help here!

Okay, I found a solution that worked for me:
I *reinstalled iTunes* (even though I had the current version installed on my computer). Luckily it didn't eraze the library or anything. I didn't uninstall the version before but 'repaired' it. Then clicked on 'Transfer Purchases from iPhone'. It still gave me the same error message. So I clicked on Authorize Computer, and even though it gave me the message that it was already authorized, afterwards the transfer worked.
So, it makes no sense whatsoever, but this worked for me, and I now have all apps show up in iTunes on my computer.

App Sync Problem??? help???

I've had these apps forever, but every single time I sync my phone they decide they need to transfer. It takes an extra 10-15 minutes every time I want to sync, when they're already on my phone/itunes! Why does this happen? Can I stop this?
(iPhone 5S 32GB, iOS 7.1)

Step 1: First take a backup all those apps
C:\Users\{Username}\Music\iTunes\iTunes Media
Step 2: Delete the app from the iTune
Now apps will not sync anymore. In case if you want those app again use the backup

Apps Sync Problem

I have an iPhone 3G, and PC that I had to uninstall iTunes and reload it back into the system. Now 2 months later I'm trying to update my apps on my phone via the computer, but the Sync Apps tab wasn't checked. So when I check the "sync apps" button ITunes wants to overwrite the current apps and related data on the phone. When Sync is checked the layout shown is from a previous backup from 5 months ago. Any suggestions on how to resolve this without killing the current layout?
I know this has to be posted somewhere on the site, but I can't find it.

Since Sync Apps was not selected under the Apps tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes which should have been selected from the start, this means all apps on your iPhone are not in your iTunes library on your computer. With your iPhone connected and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
After confirming all apps on your iPhone are in your iTunes library, select Sync Apps and make sure all apps installing on your iPhone are selected below.

Windows 7 App Sync Problem

I installed Windows 7 back in October and my calendars and contacts sync just fine. I have never been able to get apps or music back on the phone. When I click on my apps and pick the location I want them it appears fine, but when I click "apply" it does a synce and the apps fall off the screen locations I put them and they do not sync.
Anyone have any idea what I need to change to get the apps and music on my phone with windows 7?

I figured it out. Itunes thought it was a new computer because of new software. I just had to authorize it as a new computer. It works now.

Connect & select iPhone in iTunes Sudebar (iTunes > View > Show Sidebar), in Music tap (right pane top), select Sync Music and the music you want on iPhone then click Apply button (bottom right).

New Touch Missing Movie Rental/Game "In-App Purchase" Sync Problems.

just picked up the new iPod Touch 4G (64GB) and am syncing to Win7 Starter (32bit).
I rented a few movies before I bought the Touch. They all seemed to download fine. the "Move" sync process seemed like it worked perfectly. When I looked back at my movies on my touch, some of them were missing. When I double checked my rental section in iTunes the movies were missing. I remember a dialogue later, saying that the file couldn't be found. I ran a quick windows search with no results.
So it seems like I could "Move" the movie fine, but after the sync finished, the files were gone from both the computer and the touch.
Could someone please explain this, and what I may do to recover those files? I did pay for them after all, and would still like to watch them. I just don't want to pay for them twice.
Also (another similar issue):
I downloaded and played the game "FieldRunners" fine, but then decided to do an "in-app purchase" for the next level. I clicked download/entered my info/ and it seemed to download correctly, but when I re-entered the app, the level was not available to play. just weird.
FYI: this is my first iOS device, so please don't flame me for newbie ignorance.
Any advice/suggestions are welcome!

Overall, Here is my experience with the new touch:
First Connection: Installation did not work. Unplugged / Replugged USB worked correctly. (no restart necessary).
Selecting content to sync: Did not detect Outlook 2010 (FULL/NOT BETA) for Contacts/Calendar/etc.
I chose not to sync this through iTunes, and instead setup an "Exchange" account on my iPod Touch through google (m.google.com). Works perfectly.
I have my other email addresses forwarded through gmail to take care of push notifications. I still don't have Outlook 2010 calendars synced with google yet, but I'll figure that out.
Then I noticed the other sync problems mentioned above.
Again, any help would be appreciated!

Let us know how you go as i'm having the same issue also. I upgraded to yosemite and itunes 12 at the same time and thought the OS upgrade was the issue. I downgraded back to Mavericks again (for lots of reasons i won't go in to here) thinking this would fix the problem but it didn't.
When i play any video content from itunes 12 in full screen goes dark once the controls fade away. QT, appletv or anything else plays them perfectly, as per itunes 11!
You don't have a Samsung TV by any chance do you?

The computer that I had my iphone apps synced to has died and I don't know how to get access to my apps on the new computer. I'm using a Windows pc. I understand that I can only have my apps synced to one computer at a time, but the former pc is dead.

My HP Touchsmart died the other day. My husband works on computers as a hobby and was able to get me up and running on a Dell laptop in no time. I have an iPhone 4s and had all my apps on itunes on my HP. I understand that you can only have your iPhone apps synced to one computer at a time, but what do you do when the computer containing all your info is in unusable condition? I have tried deauthorizing all the computers associated with my account, that did not work. I had this problem once before and finally ( after much blood sweat and tears ) was able to deauthorize the old computer, but it was in working order. Two of the computers that are listed under the iTunes Wi-Fi Sync setting are no longer in use, the HP had my apps synced to it and the other had everything else except my photos, which are on a third computer that is still in use. Please forgive for information overload but am trying to give all the info that I think could be relevant. Your help would be appreciated so much!

If you really want help, stop messing with the fonts and post so that others can read and offer suggestions.
Or better yet... try a search, I'm certain you'll find a solution to whatever issue you're experiencing.
I have found that many times it is the things that make you most angry that push you to action. This was the case here. Thank you for causing me to get so angry that I found the answer myself.
