  • Music apps that support AirPlay to multiple devices?

Is there a list of Music Apps that support simultaneous streaming to multiple AirPlay devices?  I use Spotify which apparently doesn't, while iTunes does.  Thanks,

i would say that as long as you use the computer, you could sync an app to as many ipads/ipods/iphones as you want. i have synced all my music and apps to freinds ipods as i have a mac and they have pc's and it is easier on mac. i have synced all music/podcasts/vids/apps to about 6 ipod touches

  • Calendar app that handles multiple Google calendars?

Can anyone recommend a calendar app that handles multiple Google calendars in a single account, including one of what  Google's desktop web site shows as  "My calendar" calendar plus one "Other calendar" calendar?
    Thanks.

Calendar can have two or more calendars calendars listed at the same time.
Each can be a different color for identifidation.
The first screenshot shows that the Medical and Joint calendars are shared calendars.
    Will that work for you?

  • Looking for a client/server that supports multiple protocol and delivery

Hi all, I don't know if this the right place to ask my question, here it goes.
I am looking to develop a client-server that supports multiple protocols such as HTTP, HTTPS etc. I am looking for a framework( i don't know if that is correct or I need some kind of web-service (soap etc)) that would manage connection, security etc. I would like to like to devote most of my time in developing business objects with multiple delivery mechanism such as sending serilized java objects, xml message or soap message, or in some case JMS message as well. So I need a client server that can come in via TCP/IP or HTTP or anyother industry standard protocol and I should be able to service him with pub/sub model and also request/response model as well.
I don't know if I had explained what I need, I would like to know what technologies I should be evaluating and which direction I should be heading... Also the server I'm developing should be free of Java constraints if needed...
Also this service is not webbased service as now but if need arises I should have a flexibilty to make them web enabled in future. Also I would like to work with open source webservers or appservers if I need

"i3 was created because wmii, our favorite window manager at the time, didn't provide some features we wanted (multi-monitor done right, for example), had some bugs, didn't progress since quite some time and wasn't easy to hack at all (source code comments/documentation completely lacking). Still, we think the wmii developers and contributors did a great job. Thank you for inspiring us to create i3. "
To change the border of the current client, you can use bn to use the normal border (including window title), bp to use a 1-pixel border (no window title) and bb to make the client borderless. There is also bt  which will toggle the different border styles.
    Examples:
    bindsym Mod1+t bn
    bindsym Mod1+y bp
    bindsym Mod1+u bb
or put in your config file
    new_window bb

  • I am looking for a text to speech app that supports the Books App?

I am looking for a text to speech app that supports the Books App?

If Settings -> General -> Accessibility -> VoiceOver does not work, then it is unlikely iBooks will do text to speach on its own in the current version.
    <http://www.apple.com/feedback>
I know that some competing services, Kindle, Nook, etc... are restricted in doing text to speach by the book publishers.
If this is text in a PDF (not an ebook), then maybe there is another app that can to text to speach on PDFs.
If it is published books that are of interest, there is Audible.com <http://www.audible.com/>
In theory it should be possible to use the Mac OS X Text to Speach facilities to convert a document into an audio file, and they sync that to the iPod Touch.  I assume there is similar text to speach utilities for Windows systems.
I'm also guessing that there are web sites dedicated to assisting sight impaired individuals that might provide ideas for getting text to speach options for the iPod Touch.

  • Does an app that supports printing thereby automatically support "AirPrint"?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place, I couldn't find a better spot...
1 - Does an app that supports printing by definition support Apple AirPrint?
2 - Is there any way to search the app store by apps that support AirPrint? (make that a search parameter)?
Thanks so much in advance for your help. Sorry again if this is in the wrong spot.

"You say that no apps support airprint, but Apple says that an app can be airprint enabled."
No.  A PRINTER can be airprint enabled.  You DO NOT need an app tp be airprint enabed as the iphone already has airprint.
But you are wrong. From Apple's site "AirPrint-enabled applications can print to a printer that supports AirPrint"
If you still don't see it: "AirPrint-enabled applications"
See it there? Applications can be airprint enabled. Please stop posting erroneous information here, as you are only confusing the situation.
    Source: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4356
EDIT: Let me give an example:
I am in a news app, when I am in an article, there is a "Print" button. Does this mean that it supports AirPrint?
(I'm not talking about alternative print solution apps, I'm talking about the average app that might allow you to print content.)

First of all, how do I fix those. Second, am I on the right track for a server that supports multiple clients? Please help me with this.
    Thanks!

well, since I feel kinda bad for just re-posting the link to the API docs previously posted by supermicus I shall elaborate - though, since my reading for comprehension skills are clearly lacking, I will not attempt to teach you to read.
This conversation should be held in the "New to Java Technology" forum, BTW.
Java derives a lot of its power from the huge library of classes that ships with it, which is called the API. These classes are grouped into packages roughly along functional lines, so you should expect to see some relationship between the classes found in a given package - the java.net.* classes all pertain to networking. The API documentation describes three things about each class - fields that are available, constructors that you can use, and methods that you can call. Basically, anything at all that you can do with a given class (ThreadGroup, for instance) can be found in the documentation for that class. Typically (for non-static classes), you call the constructor that seems most appropriate via the "new" keyword, and, using the reference returned from that, you call the method that does what you want. It's all outlined in the docs.
If you don't get what you need from the docs, then read the appropriate Tutorial (also in the list of links to the left of your screen) find the one on Threads and off you go.
    I hope this helped.

  • App that supports .DOC files?

Does anyone know of any app that supports .DOC files? BadReader doesn't. Box.net doesn't. Pages definitely doesn't. I am going out of my mind here trying to find something to support well known Word formats. BadReader says it supports it, but when I try to open the file it says that it can't read it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've read both DOC and DOCX files in Goodreader ... Either something is wrong with your installation or with the documents themselves, I'd say. You might want to delete and reinstall the app.
There also are 3rd party office suite apps that read DOC files ... Docs2Go or Office2.

  • Cross platform apps that support .swf and .flv

I want to build (HTML5, Javascript, CSS) apps that run on Win, iOS, iphone and Android phones that also include (.swf, .flv) content.  Which Adobe tool(s) should I use?  It would be nice to have a WYSIWYG UI design front end like Maqetta in building these apps.  Does DreamWeaver in combination with Air have all this functionality?

You can't run Flash in a browser in iOS, not even a browser inside an app (it's still Safari).
If you want Flash content inside your app, you need Adobe AIR. Then use StageWebView (plus StageWebViewBridge) to show the parts in HTML.
You can use Adobe Flash Builder or FDT to code in AS3.

  • Looking for an App that supports Text Searching in PDF (more complex finding text))

I try to explain it clearly since my English not good
when I using Ipad to search with some app like PDF expert. I can search words if I only type one single words or I type more than one words but these words are continuous in one sentence. Example like this
In this case. I type "and for the", and I got the result, because these three words are contiunuous in one sentence
But if I type words that not continuous but seperated in the file like this one. I don't get any result.
So, I'm looking for an app that read pdf and can search multiple words at same time. Like what preview does in the mac
See in the mac preview, we can search different words at same time and still get all the results.
So, Is there any similar PDF app that offer same function on IPad?
    THanks so much

Yes, PDFPen for the Mac does do multiple word searching.  I just tried it using this example:
I searched the iPad User Guide for "switch control".  It only found those two words together.
Next, I searched for "switch".  It found additional occurrences.
I did find, however, that I was required to place the two words "switch control" inside double quotes to find the two words together (and only that string).
UPDATE:  Oops, sorry, the above statemant about the double quotes being required is false.  Sorry, I used Preview by accident when I wrote that.
Indeed, PDFPen works just as you seem to want ... searching for "switch control" (without quotes in the search string) finds only those two words together.
UPDATE 2:  Oops ... it sounds like this is just exactly the opposite of what you want.  You are looking for something that, when searching for "switch control", finds all occurrences of "switch" and all occurrences of "control".  If that is right, PDFPen won't help you.
