App to organize, sync, delete photos for offline use

Looking for advice from the community.
I would like one App that will import my pics from Camera Roll, organize into albums, allow me to delete individual photos, sync so pics are on my iPad & iPhone.  I want to keep the photo album on my device for offline use but delete the photos from my camera roll so it doesn't get cluttered.
Example:  I take 20 pictures of Rescue-Sophie and decide to keep 10.  With the native app I can create an album, and delete pictures but that's really it.  The photos stay in Camera Roll with only a "copy" in the album.  I use Picasa so I can embed slide shows of the rescues and do large scale organizing/labeling.
Now I want to sync my album named "Rescue-Sophie" so it appears on my iPad and iPhone while I am offline.  I often whip out pictures of our available and sometimes past rescues to show potential adopters and cannot rely on being able to retrieve them off the net/cloud.
I don't mind paying for a "professional" level App if it does what I want.  I don't really care about editing, color, photoshopping, etc... Organization and keepi g my Camera Roll uncluttered are my main goals.
Can anyone help?
FYI - rescues means dogs.  I belong to a non-profit and I head up the rescue committee for Pomeranians in Virginia.

  • App-V 5.0 SP2 - Unable to download packages for offline use

I have an interesting issue but I can't seem to find anyone else experiencing the same issue.
We have a highly available App-V 5.0 SP2 environment. All of the App-V packages are storaged on a CIFS share. The packages stream from the share just fine and work as expected when streaming.
For some reason, the packages fail to download for offline use (either by setting the autoload registry setting or clicking download in the client UI). When you click download, the link switches to "Stop Download" for about 1 second, then switchesback
to "Download" without downloading the package.
We had the same issue with AppV 5.0 SP1 client as well.
There is no error or information in the event viewer log to explain why it is failing.

  • How to save downloaded files from safari for offline use?

Need help how to save downloaded PDF or images from Safari for offline use. On Mac or PC, we "save as" the files. How do you do it on safari on iPhone?

You can't detach email attachments as separate files, though you can view supported formats as attachments. If you're viewing webmail with Safari, the attachments aren't saved on the iPhone.
Apple hasn't made any announcements about new feature for the iPhone and rarely does. The other iPhone users in this user-to-user forum have no access to unannounced Apple plans, and speculation about them is prohibited by the forum Terms of Use.

  • Can i retrieve deleted photo or video using my icloud account

can i retrieve deleted photo or video using my icloud account

If they were in the camera roll on your iOS device when it was last backed up, they would be included in the backup.  Restoring the entire backup should recover them.

My Word files are corrupted. When I open 'Get Info' then 'More Info' I find 'Photos for Personal Use or Home Display' and 'Authors' : Technology. - Nothing to do with the file I'd just written. My most recent files can't be saved or opened.
Is this Malware or some other kind of attack?  I grabbed photos yesterday from what seem to be freely available pictures online.  I discovered Firevault and Firewall were both turned off. (I hadn't checked before.)  Any suggestions?

Apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start
with Option #4 and then #1 as needed.
    Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
1 - download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
2 - click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
3 - Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option.
4 - In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
5 - Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments.  However, books, calendars, cards and slideshows will be lost. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • Resize photos for online use

I have been trying all afternoon to resize photos for online use and can not follow directions given.  I know it must be simple but I am stumped.  I would like to speak to a real person and I'm sure my problem will be solved in less than five minutes.  PLEASE do not tell me to follow guidelines; I have tried that.
    Kay Wilhelm

    Hi Kay,
As an example, let's say we're trying to prepare this 1000x664 pixel, 1MB image for online posting.
If the website you're posting to is giving you a maximum dimension, for example that the image has to be 600 pixels across or less, then follow these 4 steps:
    1. Go to File -> Save for Web
    2. In the Save for Web panel, look for the Image Size boxes.
    3. Enter the desired dimension.  For example, if the website you're trying to upload to requires that images be 600 pixels across, enter 600 in the Width box.  The height should recalculate automatically.
    4. Hit the Save button.  You will now have an image saved to the required pixel dimensions!
If the requirement is for a maximum file size, rather than specific file dimensions, you would follow a different procedure.  If we were trying to resize the same 1000x664 pixel, 1MB image to a size of 100KB or less, we would follow these steps:
    1. Go to File -> Save for Web
    2. In the upper right hand corner of the Save for Web panel, make sure the format is set to JPEG.  Our original image was a PNG, which tends to have a larger file size.  JPEG images tend to have a smaller file size.
    3. In the Save for Web panel, look for the projected size of the file as saved with the current settings.  This is below the lower left hand corner of the image.  In this case, it is 170KB, which is higher than our desired maximum size of 100KB.
    3.  The easiest way to control the file size at a given pixel dimension is by reducing the image quality.  The controls for image quality are in the upper right hand corner of the Save for Web panel.  The default setting for JPEG exports is 60%.
    4.  You will need to determine how far you want to reduce the image quality in your particular case.  In this example, we can reduce the quality from 60% to 40% without affecting the visible image quality too much.  Setting the quality to 40% reduces the image size to 99KB, which is below our maximum of 100KB.
    5. When you are satisfied with the quality settings, press Save to save your image.
    Hope this helps!

  • How to delete photos for good...

Apple has to have the worst phone I've ever had the misfortune to use not because of the phone, the phone itself is a pretty solid device but because of apple lacking any sort of ingenuity or technical finesse in their software design other then turning everything into a marketing kiosk
First time having and iphone and will be the last time
Down to brass tax, before i start some god awful rant about craptunes
Essentially i'm trying to add more music to my phone but i don't have enough space, WHY? because apparently the phone has withheld 1100 photos from existence. See when i use the photo browser on my phone we all know how we cant just look at a feed of our photos anymore instead the dullards at apple decided you can only have a 350 cap on most recent shots and its impossible to view any previous shots without delving into the god awful time consuming collections feature. There's about 5 maybe 600 photos on my phone, i'm not a big picture taker but iTunes says there's about 1100 at 1.75gb how can this be?
I can't even see all the photos on my phone let alone see them if i tried to back my phone up...
Even looking at my photos in collection i can confirm there isn't even that many there, I've had the phone for half a year for pete sake
I can't get over how unintelligent a multi-billion dollar company can be, my apologies but bear with me my non-apple associates!
So what do i do? I know i could clear up more space by delete photos i don't need but i cant even see them, **** i cant even back up photos in a clean jpeg format without plundering a handful of oddly named folders on the windows file explorer and even then i wouldn't have my space back.
How do i delete or even access this hidden cache of said "Phantom" photos
and on a side note why the **** is "other" so large about 2gb for me as well as documents and data yet again another mass of files i have zero control over growing in size daily
    Thanks a ****'** lot crapple.
Any help from the community is greatly appreciated.
And if you're an apple fanboy please withhold your flaming my opinion is my own and it was largely influenced by the crap software apple offers.

When you double click on of the these blank thumbnails to view the photo in a larger size do you?
First make a temporary, duplicate copy of the library and try the two fixes below in order as needed:
    Fix #1
1 - delete  the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache files that are located in your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
    Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot and the option to rebuild the small thumbnails.
Then see if you can drag the  thumbnails to iPhoto's trash and remove them permanently.

  • Can't delete photos from iPhone using iPhoto.

I connect my iphone to mac, wait until the photos are syncronized, press delete photos and after a short process nothing happenes. If I connect my iphone later it's written that all photos are syncronized, I press delete photos and again nothing happanes. How to solve this problem?

Use Image Capture (in the Applications Folder) to do this.
Never let your computer erase data without you first checking that the data is safe. Specifically never use iPhoto (or any other app) to delete the photos from your Camera Card. Disconnect the camera, check the transfer has gone correctly and then use your Camera to Reformat the Card. This has three advantages:
    1. You know your data is safe - because you've taken the time to check it.
    2. Reformatting the card is much, much faster - takes a couple of seconds
    3. Reformatting also refreshes the Directory Structure on the Card, helping prevent issues with the card and prolonging its life.

  • How do I save the width and height of a photo for repeated use?

How do I save the width and height of a picture for repeated use, rather than having to enter it each time in the 'new file' box?
    Thanks,  Ed Jackson.

It could be that I'm older and have forgotten. I'm now 73 and will admit I have forgotten many things over the years. I have been using Photoshop since Photoshop version 3.  And can not really recall which features or changes were made in ever version of Photoshop I have installed.  Adobe has added many features over the years. The number of bugs introduce has also greatly increased after CS3.  "New Doc Sizes.psp"  in your user id preferences is edited using the two buttons in the new document dialog.
As for guide lines in new documents Photoshop CS6 or CC seem to add some for video file presets with guide lines.  I do not know how to edit or add guide line to new doc presets. Guide line actions are easy to create. I have also seem some guideline in new documents when I did not expect any perhaps a new bug. Photoshop like most software has bugs. If you do not see Adobe new presets perhaps you copied an old  "New Doc Sizes.psp"  over Adobe's newer default file or Adobe migrared you presets and wand wiped their presets out. There are bugs. Close Photoshop down and rename your current  "New Doc Sizes.psp"  in you user id Photoshop cc preferences folder and start Photoshop it will add a dedault  "New Doc Sizes.psp"  file see if you see Adobe new presets in the new doc pull down when you select video and film...

  • Iphone, delete photos for space.

I'm trying to delete all photos from my iPhone MC921LL/A Version 8.1.2.
I checked I will manually sync as needed.
I've already uploaded to another  Mac Book Pro 2013 late.
I checked that I wanted the photos deleted but they were not.  Instead they were sorted.

  • Sync Deleted Photos between 2 Catalogues

I have 2 computers (both macs) one is a Mac Pro desktop and the other is a MBP that I'm taking with me to NYU. My problem is, that I bracket a lot, and when I first started shooting, I shot...a lot. Therefore, since Februry of 2009 I have taken approx 420GB of photos. So now I'm drying to sperate the wheat from the chaff, but I dont have time to delete all the blurred/miss-focused/reduntant/ect. shots before I go off to college. So the question is, when you export as catalouge, and then have the 2 fuse, will lightroom delete the photos from the home desktop that I deleted on the laptop at college?

I think your best solution would be to export the whole catalog to an external drive (a 1TB drive is dirt cheap these days). Work on that in college, and then either just use that drive when you come home, or delete the originals, and then Export as Catalog, to get it all back on the main drive.

  • Sync deleted photos...help!!!

I was trying to move photos from my iPad to my Mac. I thought (silly me) that my iPad would over ride the Mac since there were no photos. When I go into look for photos on Mac there are none and none on my iPad. Where did they go???

Just to get the basics out of the way:
In iPhoto, if you click on Photos (under LIBRARY), do you see the photos?
How about if you select Date in the search field, and put in the date for those photos (Oct 7? Oct 8?).
If you go into the Originals folder, as Terence suggests, you can show the window in List view, sort by Date Modified and then you'll be able to see if there is more than one folder for that day. If that day was Oct 7, you might see "Oct 7, 2007" and "Oct 7, 2007_2" or something like that.
But first just make sure iPhoto itself isn't just confused, and try the first two suggestions above.
