App to take landscape shots while phone is in portrait orientation
Is it just me who finds using 6+ in landscape orientation a bit difficult? I have accidently covered or reflected the flash on quite a few occasions. So,is there an app that allows taking landscape pics while the phone is in potrait orientation?
We fixed that in Firefox 23, We made the tappable area for reader much larger :)

cannot type the letter "t" when phone is in portrait orientation. will only work when phone is in landscape.This causes some problems as some apps do not change orientation so when the "t" is needed to be entered it cannot be carried out
Try the basic troublshooting steps described in the User Guide, Appendix B: Resart, Reset, Restore using backup, Restore as new.

I am not able to open any app on my iphone. While i'm trying to open an app it just shake the screen and it does not open and remains in the same screen. It worked fine until I charged the phone this evening. After that suddenly I'm facing this. Please can anyone help me to recover this issue? pls!

A restore does. If you are using the iphone as designed, then everything should be on your computer. -
When I take a photo or video in landscape mode, it will not play back or show in landscape with the phone held horizontally. i have an iPhone 5. I think this happened sometime after the last upgrade but I am not sure when. is there a setting on the phone that may have gotten changed somehow?
Slide your finger up from the bottom of the screen to reveal the Controls panel. One button controls orientation lock to prevent the screen rotating as you rotate the phone. You can toggle that control on and off as you need. Slide the panel back down when you are finished with it.

My setting show that I have plenty of available space, but I can not seem to do a single thing on my iPhone because it says there's no room. I cannot even upgrade an app or take a picture.

Iphone 6 not going to landscape mode while in messages
For some reason when i try to type in landscape mode phone will not go to landscape more I have to close the app multiple times just for it to happen. Also bluetooth not working with any devices. And for some other reason while on FaceTime other people are saying my picture on there end was upside down.. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!! Also when i double click the home button and try to go back into iMessage the keyboard is no where to be found for a couple of seconds..
Indeed the option to lock to portrait mode is not on in the control panel. The behavior of switching from portrait to landscape works fine in my hand, it's when the phone is in a holder that it does not detect the orientation and adjust accordingly. The iPhone 5 did this with no problem, but on iPhone 6 any app that allows landscape mode starts out in portrait mode and then does not automatically adjust. Rather you have to move the phone back into portrait mode and it's that motion of being re-oriented into landscape mode that finally triggers the switch.

Razr Maxx no longer able to take screen shots
Hi all,
I've had a ton of trouble with the Razr Maxx. I've been through a few of the phones. First ICS update killed the phone, I've consistently had a Maxx that won't hold 4g connection in strong 4g areas and requires it to be put into airplane mode or shut off to get the 4g data back.
Here's a new one though. The phone was getting scorching hot so installed the battery monitor app to track how hot it was getting and for how long. The phone is roughly hitting 115+ multiple times a day. So I was taking screen shots of it to show some friends to ask them for input on fixing this. Out of the blue and without the addition or update of any of my apps my phone won't take screen shots anymore. It's still also getting ridiculously hot which is a scary thing but completely aside from the inability to take screen shots.
hints, help, suggestions?I clear the cache every so often and I have done it about a half dozen times since the battery started getting hot and the screenshot hasn't been working. I have 4g signal with this replacement (3rd razr maxx)and it doesn't seem to have the connectivity issues as previously. I'll take the SIM out regardless though. I grabbed a new SIM for this phone when I received this replacement. About a month old or so. I'm good with working around the phone. Factory reset didn't solve the issue either, it just made me mad that I still had the issue and now I had to spend an hour to get the phone where it was previously. I'm getting tired of wasting my time with the Maxx. The battery life was nice, but it's getting tedious.

My iPhone 4 (with iOS 5.0) won't go to Landscape while taking photos/videos EVEN IF PORTRAIT ORIENTATION SETTING IS NOT LOCKED! However, watching YouTube/Videos is stuck on LANDSCAPE!
I was getting this even on iOS 4.0, but under this OS, I can restart the phone, and in some cases, this problem goes away.
However, under iOS 5, it simply wouldn't go to LANDSCAPE. Photos is not a worry, since I can just rotate this, but videos is now stuck on Portrait!
Again, the PORTRAIT ORIENTATION SETTING is NOT LOCKED! But it still wouldn't go to Landscape.
Is this some sort of a "gyroscope" problem??
OSorry, but you are mistaken about both observations.
You CAN DEFINITELY take photos in Landscape and you CAN DEFINITELY watch YouTube videos in PORTRAIT (just tried it now using my sister's working iPhone).
Also, my CALCULATOR does not go to LANDSCAPE (i.e. from normal to Scientific) automatically.
So I still think it could be a gyroscope problem...but I'm not 100% sure. -
Apps seem to quit working while on Wifi
I have the iPhone 6. Just updated to 8.0.2. Most apps either do not work while on wifi or freeze up or stop loading new information. Take Facebook for example. It will load a few of the posts on the news feed and then won't load anyyhing else until I switch to cell data. Safari will work for a few minutes and then sit and try to load until I swich back to data. Once it has loaded, I can switch back to wifi, it will work for a few more minutes and then i have to repeat the process over again.
This has been doing it since I bought the phone on 8.0. I've tried restoring the phone to see if maybe I screwed a setting up. Nothing changed.
My girlfriend is having the same type issue with her 5s on 8.0.2. She said hers was acting like that when 8.0 was initially downloaded as well.Are these applications, internet dependant? Like fb,twitter,ebay,etc? If so I would go into settings/general/reset and reset the network settings for starters, turn off the router for a minute as well and login to your WIFI thereafter.
If the problem still persists, try performing a reset. By holding the home and lock buttons both at the same time until the apple logo appears. -

Any one else have this issue?The stock message app. To be honest my entire phone seems slow.. and it says there is no updates available.. I've updated all of the apps that have available updates and I've even deleted my saved messages... Just not sure why all of a sudden it is running slow.

How do I take screen shots with the new update iOS 5 on my iPad and iPhone?
When I try to take screen shots on both my iPad and iPhone they both come up with the screen to shut down the devices. I've updated both with iOS 5. Any clues on how to take a screen shot with iOS 5?
As with the previous iOS versions.
Press and hold the Home button and use the on/off or sleep/wake button as a camera shutter button for the screen shot.
Or while pressing and holding the on/off or sleep/wake button before the slide to power of appears, use the Home button as a camera shutter button - this must be done before the slide to power off appears. -
I would like to change the account I have linked to my phone, so my son can use the iTunes account I currently have (Since we had it when he had an iTouch, and all his paid apps are on it.) I was just wondering if I created a new iTunes account, if the apps I have installed to the phone would uninstall if I logged out, and logged into a new account.
Thanks!They won't uninstall even if you change accounts. However, you may not be able to update them while signed in to a different accoutn than the one who purhcased the apps.

The Calendar app that came on my i4S Phone does not sync the correct time for items posted on my Yahoo Calendar. Actually, items post exactly 4 hours earlier than the correct time on my Yahoo Calendar. My i4S is in the correct New York time zone. Help?
I posted this question a while ago and didn't receive any responses but there are a lot of people who have viewed it and 10 have said they have the same question so I thought I would update you that I added my nanny to my exchange server account (created an email for her) and I send all invites to that email address and they work. So sending invites from an exchange server account to a non-exchange server account apparently is a bug so to solve it, get on an exchange server I guess.

my i phone 5c wont stop restarting!! sometimes it takes hours before the phone starts working again. Sometimes when it does this red lines go up and down the screen. Im so ready to go back to my 4s does anyone know how to fix this??? Should i mention i have tried restarting back to new and i have the most up to date software. Please help
If the center portion of the monitor is flickering then your GPU on the logic is bad or (unlikely given this symptom) that your monitor cable is pinched/damaged.

perform SMC reset just to check:
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer. -

The manual does not show that feature natively for the iPod. Later iPhones and iPads have that feature natively.
