App update notice not in App Store update

I just got a notice there was an update to Pages. I clicked on the link and it took me to the Apple Store home page. I clicked on the Updates button at the top and it told me there were no updates available.
What is going on? Either there is and update to Pages, or there is not!

Good question. I am working in P5.1. However, I opened an older file. I am merging and expanding several Pages docs of different ages. When I opened the older version file, it asked if I would like to update it to the new pages (5.1). I clicked OK and it converted it.
Later I was in the middle of working on one of the files, when a drop down window appeared telling me there is a new version of Pages. This was not a reference to a specific file, but to the app Pages itself.
I don't know any way to back track and see what happened. Guess I will have to wait until it happens again, then note all the steps.

to be able to use an App store from another country you require an address in that country and credit card in that country. You can set up an account without a credit card though

HT4589 Automatic Update does not give me an update from FCP X 10.0 to FCP X 10.0.5. How do I update? I have version 10.0.0.

I have never received an update from my original FCP X 10.0. I recently upgrade to Mountain Lion, purchase additional plugins and FCP X cannot use them unless I upgrade to atleast FCP X 10.0.3. Automatic Update does not give me an update for FCP X. Version 10.0.5 does not show on the Apple Support Download page. I purchased Compressor at the same time and it has given an update. How do I down find the download? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

And if it does not come automatically, move your Final Cut.app out of the Applications folder, open App Store, click Purchaces, and Install it from there - it will download the latest 10.0.5 version.
If FICPX is not listed there, it's because you bought it with another AppleID!

App Store notifies updates for not installed app?

Hello,
I keep getting an update notification for an app not installed (anymore? I can't rememeber if I ever installed it) on my MBP.
Is there a way to hide/override it?
I already tried cleaning App Store cache but nothing changed.
Any clue?

You can "hide" a purchased item by hovering over its listing in the "Purchases" tab. A small "x" will appear, and if you click on it the item will disappear from the list:
You still are entitled to it, though, and can "unhide" it later by going to
Store Menu > View My Account

Mac app store always shows updates for not installed apps

Hi,
I've got fresh install of 10.7.1 (replaced hdd, installed via Restore OS usb flash drive). Everything works properly, except of Mac App Store.
For some reason it shows me as updates all apps I ever purchased. Installed and updated to latest version, as well as not installed yet.
Any way to fix this?

Caching service only works for OS X updates and not for Apps

Hello,
It seems that my OS X Server Caching service only works for Apple OS X Software Updates (in Mac App Store updates, when the icon of Mountain Lion appears). I see it in my logs in verbose mode when I download an Apple OS X Software Updates and not when I download an app in Mac Appstore.
So I'm sure my Caching service works but not for all downloads.
Why ? What's wrong with my server ?
I read in some blogs that Caching Server can work for iOS devices appstore too. I try to download some apps with my iphone but nothing happens in logs ...
Can somebody help me about the Caching Server ?

Help! After iOS 6 update "Account Not in This Store".

Hello.
After the recent iOS update, I decided to update some apps. However, when I attempted to update them, it says that the account is not valid for use in the Australian store and that I should switch to the New Zealand store before purchasing. Before the update, everything was working fine. My Apple ID says that I'm using the correct country, which is Australia. I have tried all the solutions that I have found in google: clicking on the Apple ID at the bottom of featured in the app store and by logging in and out. I have also done this in settings.
Do you guys have any other ideas to tackle this problem?

I was having the same problem and after applying a lot of solutions I've seen here none of them worked for me so what I did was to download the application (for iPad or iPhone) to my notebook and after that perform the synchronization between the notebook and the (iPad or iPhone) that updated the apps in the iPad without error message.

After Update Trigger not triggering for first update

I have written a Trigger on AP_SUPPLIERS table to update AP_SUPPLIER_SITES_ALL when payment priority gets updated on AP_SUPPLIERS table. Trigger calls a pragma autonomous procedure after update happens, and updates sites table. We are on R12 (12.1.3) with DB 11.2.0.3.0
Somehow this is not working for the first update, after that for every update it is working. Any idea why this might be happening?

Disco for Oracle Apps with Scheduling not in Apps ~ Throws Error ORA-06502

Hi All,
I have had an SR with Oracle for almost 1/2 year now to set-up scheduling with the scheduling schema not being Apps. They have not been able to fix this yet.
I have used note 757831.1. When I try to set-up a schedule that is recurring, the following error is thrown: ORA-06502.
Does any one have a success story associated with setting-up scheduling in a Disco Oracle Apps end user layer where the scheduling schema is not apps?

I do have a questiion. I started the most recent iOS update on my iPhone last night and before it was ever completed a message appeared on my screen. It is a pic of the docking/charging cord with an arrow pointing to an iTunes logo...HELP!!!!! I have tried holding down the home key and power button several times and the same message continues to appear.

An update is not installed but MS update says no updates available.

We had a security team scan our network and they found one of our servers didn't have KB2743555 installed. The problem is, when we go to MS and do a manual check for updates, it says there are no updates available. We checked other servers and found this
update installed on them. Why is MS update indicating that the server is up-to-date when this update is not installed? I don't see where KB2743555 has been replaced by another update. If MS update is missing this update, what other updates is it missing? We
need an answer to provide to the security team. Thanks

It could be that you have a hotfix or something similar to this:

When you scan for updates, are you scanning against microsoftupdate.com, or scanning against your own WSUS ?
(if scanning against your own WSUS, or some equivalent product, you might not be scanning against the "full" catalog...)

Software Update/iTunes Update does not show any new updates

My mac is on a new internet provider and OS X update, and even iTunes update, no longer work properly. The OS update reports no new updates (even though new updates exist: TimeMachine and Airport Update v1.0, Security Update 2008-002 v1.0,...).
The problem has been isolated to an outgoing IP address: 24.29.138.* (cpe-24-29-138-??.nyc.res.rr.com, where ?? is a range of ip addresses 11 to 96) used or referenced whenever OS Software update or iTunes update is run. Whois reports the IP range as Road Runner, presumable residential services (and not apple). The outgoing service provider has that range of IP addresses blocked.
Anybody else see this? Anybody know why the mac update services reference *.nyc.res.rr.com? Any solution besides taking my mac to another internet provider service for updates?

Yes, cable modems were switched. Never had RoadRunner/Bright House service (now or then). Went from Cox to Uverse. Believe the MacBook was added after service providers were changed, but nonetheless, have reset the mac at least twice (upgrade from Tiger to Leopard required tech support to get it working, which included several "hard" resets), the modem/router has been reset several times (with several instances of +24 hours between shut-down and restarts). The fiber service has the modem and router combined, so resetting is a single operation.
From Network Settings, I have valid IP addresses and it is using DHCP.
I have VirusBarrier installed, along with NetBarrier, which is how I learned about the odd outgoing connection via RoadRunner during mac/iTunes updates. VirusBarrier reported no spy/malware.
When you run Mac OS Software Update or attempt to download iTunes updates, your system does not connect (or attempt to connect) to any non-apple IP addresses? Just like to confirm if anybody else see this or not?
Even posting to this discussion board causes an outgoing connection to cpe-24-29-138-65.nyc.res.rr.com TCP Port 54450 and working up to 54537, appears to be an outgoing message every 30 seconds to the next Port in sequence.
Any ideas what is happening? Booted up the Powerbook G4 on the same network, has the same outgoing connection to nyc.res.rr.com.

Software update says, Software Update doesn’t have any new software for your computer at this time.
and this Java update has not been installed on my system. Why would that be?

Because you never installed Java. Lion does not install Java. Only the user can opt to download and install Java separately. If you don't have Java installed then you don't need the update which is why it does not appear.
