App updates list

Can the list of app updates be deleted after downloading updates? I am using Ios 7 on iPad mini.

The list should clear automatically after updates are installed.
Try a reset ...
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

Is there a way to get rid of the apps in the update list after they have been updated?? For both the iPhone and iPad.

    Figures. Thanks

  • Apps persist in update list

Just upgraded to iOS7.   The apps in the update list persist even after the update is complete.   They used to drop off the list after the update completes.   This doesn't seem right.   The list is growing.

I have the same problem.  The app update list seems to have turned into a log of dates of when the apps were updated. This is annoying to me.  I don't care when the apps were updated. If they are updated, then they are updated.  I submitted a support request on this issue and an Apple tech called me.  I was not told whether this is a new "feature" of ios7. With the advice of the tech, I tried a few things, but nothing worked. The issue is still there.

  • My App Updates page -- sort order gone?

In the last week or so, I've noticed that the app listing on the "My App Updates" page seems to have gone from sorted by app name to a nonsense scrambled mess. Has anyone else noticed this or is it something in my version of iTunes? I wonder whether Apple has done away with the sort because their update servers are becoming overloaded. I have had problems with that page not even displaying when the number of available updates exceeds around 200 (there are separate threads on that problem).

I've just noticed the same thing in My App Updates list too. It used to be alphabetical by app name, so you could easily find specific apps (in my situation often a list of over 100 updates). Now it's an utter jumble. Anyone else with this issue? Perhaps it is specific to Australia. In any case - why the change, I wonder? For my money, alphabetical is the only way to go.

  • How can I ignore an app update and delete it from list?

    iPad 2 16GB 3G -- iOS 6.1.3 (not jailbreaked)
SInce few weeks i have an update in App Store/Updates for the AVPlayerHD app. I never want to apply and install this update, because it is remove a feature from the app (Removed DTS audio decoding due to patent trouble). I need the DTS audio decoding, so i ignored this update, but how can i remove it from updates list without apply?

You can't delete it off the list but you can ignore it.

  • How do I remove an app from the update list that is under someone else's apple id?

How do I remove an app from the update list that is under someone else's apple id? So this way the update always fails because it asks for someone else's password. I don't have the app on my mac, it only appears in the update list. It's just annoying, because the update keeps appearing, and the reminder keeps reminding me that I should install a new update.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
    1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
    kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    2. In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
    File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
    Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu of search criteria, initially showing Kind. From that menu, select
    Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select
    Raw Query
as the criterion, then click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of the menu of search criteria. That's where you enter the raw search query. Click in that box and paste the text you copied earlier by pressing command-V.
    4. The search window will now show all the App Store products that are installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method.

  • Wrong dates shown in iPad app store updates list

The dates listed for the app updates in my iPad's app store are wrong! They used to show the date of each app's most recent update, but now they show each app's ORIGINAL availability date. My iPod, on the other hand, doesn't have this problem. What's the deal? When looking at the updates list, the "updated" date is much more useful than the app's original date. Any idea what's wrong and how to fix it?

I talked to Tech support they told me to go into my time and date settings change to manual setting and set the date and time forward to a random time (several months ahead worked for me)  updates will clear then go back to automatic time.  It is bizzare but it has worked for me.  I certainly do not want or need to see all my updates I hope Apple will change this silly feature.

  • I am unable to update my apps in IPAD1.  The App icon lists the available updates but seems to be frozen.

I am unable to update my apps in IPAD 1.  The App icon lists the updates but appears to be frozen.  The individual app icons show the space where "waiting" usually appears and do not work.  If I touch the apps icons, I get a message that states..."Unable to download. Do you want to try again." (or something similar).

See if this helps. Reboot your router - unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again. Reboot/reset your iPad as well and then try again.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • How can I get Apple Remote Desktop to disappear from my App Store updates list?

My Apple Remote Desktop software shows up in my App Store updates list.  But I have already updated it to version 3.6.1 and it shows as "Installed".  It is greyed out and will not go away.  Any ideas on how to make it disappear is most appreciated.

All the suggestions I have read have not worked for me.
    But you can try:
Running Software Update from the Apple Menu
Logging in to the Mac App Store with the account that purchased ARD
Deleting various Apple Store .plist files
NB I haven't tried removind ARD and reinstalling.

I updated to ios8 and tried to use Health Application. In Sources I get a message that other applications will show up on the list as they request permission to update your data. How does it happen? No apps are listed on my Sources section

I have an answer to my question. There is a bug in IOS8 that prevents third party applications to talk to the Health Application. Apple is trying to fix it ASAP

  • Why does the update list not clear after the app update with the new 7 system?

Can I clear the update list, it is getting full, from all the updates. It say open only when I do it is still there.  Help please.

Easiest way to clear list is; go to settings>general>date and time and set date manually to a point at least one month in the future (I set mine to two months ahead) and then open App Store and check for updates. The list should now be clear. This is just an update history list. When finished just turn on auto date/time or set it back manually if you like and list should still be clear. If you do nothing the updated apps should start to drop off the list in about two to three weeks.

  • Update Apps don't clear from Update list

After updating an app in iOS7 my iPhone 5 still shows the updated app in the Update listing, but with an Open status.  How do I clean out the Update list after all updates have been successfully applied?

It appears that this is by design!
With iOS 7, you are no longer a slave to the constant need to update your apps. John McCain should be totally happy.
With this new automatic update feature, though, it might be nice to see what’s been updated lately. To do that, it’s just a quick trip into the guts of iOS 7. Here’s how.
To figure out what’s been updated, as well as when it was last updated, you need travel no further than the App Store app on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
Tap the App Store icon on your Home screen, and then hit the Updates button in the lower right-hand corner. You’ll then see apps that have been updated, sorted by the date they were updated. Pretty neat, huh?
You may see some apps that have not yet been updated. You might have automatic updates turned off. To turn it on, navigate to your Settings app, tap on iTunes & App Store, and then toggle Updates to ON.
You may need to wait a bit for the updates to start happening, but now you’ll get your apps updated without any input on your part.

  • How do you clear the recent history list (as this function was lost in one of the last app updates )?

Since this function was apparently lost in one of the last adobe reader app updates, how now are you supposed to clear the recent history, but retain the files on my nexus tablet?

    Hello,
That explains why I am no longer able to clear the recent history list...
I understand that removing/deleting the files from my device will remove the files from my list. However this in not ideal for me, as I would like to be able to go back and look at the papers that I have previously read and then be able to clear the recent list. Also, if I can clear the list without removing the files from my device, I can keep track of what I have recently read, and move those files into a second folder on my device to say that I have read the papers at least once. That way I would still have the papers on my device but can clear the list and know that I have read the papers. Thus I really would like a way to clear your history from the recents list, ideally with the option of clearing individual files from the list, as well as a second option to clear all files from the recent list, while retaining the original files on the device.
Thanks and have a good day,
              Trevor

  • Since updating my IPhone 4 to IOS 6, I am unable to pull up the list of Purchased apps under the Apps/Updates.

Since updating my IPhone 4 to IOS 6, I am unable to pull up the list of Purchased apps under the Apps/Updates.  I suspect I am too low on RAM to load the entire list of purchased apps.  Any solution?

    Hi Urs
I searched a lot and maybe found a part of the reason for this high data traffic.
I'm synchronizing my contacts, calendar & reminder with iCloud & my mail with Hotmail.
When push is activated for Hotmail, that doesn't matter, but when push is activated for iCloud, the amount of data nearly explodes. So I turned iCloud to manual and let Hotmail on push.
Contacts, calendar & reminder are synchronizing when opened (I think this is enough).
Also I do a backup on iCloud and than I deactivate the function (I do not delete the last backup, I only deactivate the option for automatic backup).
It seems, that the backup functionality also generates traffic when not on WiFi - especially at night!!
The battery life has been getting better, when I deactivated the support for automatic time zone changes (location services were always on).
The battery finaly got MUCH BETTER since the update on iOS 5.0.1.
My traffic is actually higher than on iOS 4 but not so high as before I deactivated some services...
I hope this info is a little help for you!!
Let me know if this works for you, ok?
    Best regards,
    Wolfgang

  • Un-installable Update Appears in App Store Update List

OS X Server Update 2.2.4 appears in the update list in App Store in a Mac mini that was once a server but is now used as a desktop.  The update won't install because the OS is "too new" and I can't find a way to remove this update from the list.  It shouldn't be there if it isn't compatible with the current OS.  Is there any way to get App Store to ignore incompatible updates?

Try reindexing the Mac after the installer app is hidden.
