App updates say waiting and never finish Loading to my iPad

Hi. Trying to update my apps through the app store on my iPad. I clicked update all, the app icons show "waiting" and never finish. I tried synching to iTunes by hooking up to my computer, but made no difference.

Maybe something here will help.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

Trying to update an app and it says waiting and never updates

I had 3 apps that needed updating, I went to the App icon and pressed update to all three. They all said "waiting" for a couple days and never installed. Then I deleted the apps and tried downloading them and they said the same thing "waiting", but never downloaded. Now, I try downloading any app to see if anything will download and I am still having the same problem.
Any advice?
I have tried reseting my phone a couple different ways and that doesn't seem to help either.

What worked for me was deleting the application, resetting the iPhone and then try downloading it again. If that doesn't work, then as Allan suggested, sync the apps to the iPHone via iTunes.

IMovie says waiting and will not load

I have just bought imovie from the App Store - but it doesn't seem to be loading, it just says 'waiting', it won't allow me to press the 'install' button, as it is greyed out.
I have rebooted a couple of times, but still the same problem.
I'm running OS X Yosemite V 10.10.1 on my iMac 4GB Memory.
I'm at a loss, so have turned to the very helpful Apple Nation for some help.

If there are multiple apps trying to download at once, only one can download at a time and the rest say "Waiting" until it is then their turn. Try this. Double tap the icon of the Waiting app, and it should resume the download.

Another thing to try - Turn the iPad Off & then back ON.
If that doesn't work:
• Log out of your iTunes store account. Go to Settings > Store > Sign Out Then press the Home button.
• Then press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously and don't release them when it brings up the Turn Off screen; keep holding them until the Apple logo appears.
• After restart, the Waiting should be gone.

Since upgrading to ios7, apps just say waiting and then get the app cannot be downloaded at this time message. We run a proxy server, devices running ios6 have no problems. Anyone know what the problem is? I think apple just needs to fix its new OS.

I work at a school running 10 iPads. We connect to the internet through a proxy server. Prior to iOS7 we had no issues, the devices still on iOS6 work perfectly.
All devices which have been upgraded to iOS7 cannot download apps. I can find the apps in the store, choose to download them, but the icon hangs for a while before returning the "app cannot be downloaded at this time message". Help.

I have this same exact issue. We have even put all apple servers as not even being filtered by proxy and it still wont download anything. Nor will it let us even log in or create a new acct in the app store. It seems its also not just app store related....as it won't even let you check for IOS updates when a proxy is entered.
If anyone has any ideas let us know!

Everthing looked good but it never started again.
It's stuck in the tiny apply screen with the status bar under it.

Try this and see if it will restart the update. If it doe not work, you will need to restore your iPad using Recovery Mode.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I have an app that says waiting and is grayed out but when I look in the app store it only gives me the option to open it - I have tried rebooting, signing out and back into the app store - not sure what to do?

Have you installed the Photoshop updates?
And are you trying to open from the Open dialog, or double clicking in the Finder?
Did you install any third party plugins? If so, have you tried disabling them?

Ipad App Store said "20" updates. I attempted to update w/3G. Now many apps say "Waiting" and are frozen. When I go online and plug into computer it just updates and doesn't address the individual apps, which still say "Waiting" and are frozen.

Also why is it that sometimes when the iPhone is syncing it will not say on the actual iPhone that it is syncing. I just purchased the IPad 2 and now when I purchase apps from the App store it says waiting and then dissapears. I have checked for updates and all apps are undated as well as my ios 5. I have turned off the power and reset the system and still nothing.

I put the password in and it say waiting and then the app dissapears. At this point I don't know what to do?

Did you try shutting down the device? Resetting? Disabling iCloud? Disabling auto-update?
I'd find the problem that is keeping the download from proceeding and fix that so that the process can finish...sounds like it may be your connection or a server issue, in which case you may need to wait.
