App Upgrade Issues

Just wondering if this is a bug. I get a notice that there is an upgrade for a free app that I downloaded. Everytime I try to upgrade it it asks me for paypal or credit card info... The only way around this is to uninstall the old app and reinstall the new version. That's a pain in the butt, any suggestions from anyone?

To clarify, when you initially downloaded the application it was free, however, now its not? If so, I would recommend reaching out to the vendor via the support information in the application description section.

Remote app upgrade issues..question. help!!!

I have been using my iPad with the remote app to control my iTunes music that is on my Mac mini in my living room. I have had the same app on my iPod and Iphone where all 3 units could request, communicate and interact with iTunes dj...and we could all promote songs by using the vote feature..which would put the hearts next to a song if folks voted to move the song up the list....well with the Remote app upgrade ..the interface is totally different on the iPad now...than it is on the iPod or phone...much more robust...but what has changed ...or maybe I just can't find it.... Is the ability to vote for songs on my iPad to move the, up the list in iTunes dj...all I can do is delete or play it immediately... Abiltiy to vote is enabled in iTunes... Anybody know how to do this in remote app upgrade?

Ok, problem not solved. I don't understand why my ATV3 disappears when sleeping. I wonder if it has to do with the ethernet only. I am going to try wi-fi only again and see if this resolves the issue. Other thoughts are that whenever my iMac is doing a back-up ill behavior occurs - which is the only activity I see that has transpired since all was well.

CRM Mobile Apps upgrade issues

Hi,
Was wondering if someone can share the experience in upgrading mobile clients. We have gone through a lot of trouble [12% failure rate on 1500+ clients] and although a lot of efforts, we do not seem to get rid of this percentage. Main issues: ClientUpgradeTarget starts deploying old versions still on the laptop, expected admin credentials are often not applied by the mechanism since registry key deletions are not executed, SQL server timeouts during tablescripts and so on. The upgrade reporting [CRM tables SMOGSYSMON and SMOGSYSMP] is not helpful as well and so it is difficult to keep track of what is in the field.
I've looked for other alternative distribution mechanisms but the pain is that it will difficult to manage the active site user base [which is available through SMOEAC]
Management [sounds like Carnivale] wants to get it done through a "single button push".
Any advice or view would be appreciated,

Your failure rate for off-field-release-upgrades looks still pretty low to me from my own experience. Surely a push-button-upgrade would be nice, but the upgrade procedure still has some serious problems in it. The only doable way is deinstalling the old version with another SW-management tool and then re-deploying the (new version of the) application. However for the site assignment one has to do a bit of work and writing some own procedures (reading out the old site_id and setting it again in the new client).
If you are talking about regular upgrades via packages, this should not happen; but it is absolutely necessary to have exact the same installation on the clients in order to use the SAP SW deployment successfully.

NFL Mobile app Upgrade Issues

I Upgraded my NFL Mobile app and now I get an error "Error starting nflmobile_vzw_blk: Class 'net.rim.device.api.crypto.BlockDecryptor' not found" Was directed to update my OS. Using the Desktop Manager (most current version) It gets to the connect to Boot ROM and fails "cannot reconnect to the device"
Not sure if that is the correct verbage. I suspect the device is taking to long to reboot and the software times out. Also my phone says my OS is up to date the software says an update is available. Running Version 7.1.0 Bundle 457. Ideas?

So I checked my phone to see if there were software upgrades to the OS. The phone said no. I decided to plug it up to a computer and check for software upgrades that way, and the desktop software said yes, I needed to upgrade to OS 7.1 Bundle 1737. I completed the upgraded, redownloaded the NFL Mobile 2012, and this time it worked! Try using desktop software to upgrade OS, then reinstall the app!

R12 upgrade issue:Not able to login using forms:Please help****urgent

We have recently upgraded our instance from 11.5.9 to 12.0.4 in Windows 2003 server.
We are unable to login to forms after upgrade, however we are able access self service responsibilities without any issues.
We are getting APP-FND-01496 when we access any forms responsibility. We have tried all possible metalink notes with no luck.
Any help to resolve this issue will be appreciated.

If you have not spent any of the money from the card, go here:
http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. They may be able to restore the money to the card so you can redeem it through the correct account. If any of the money has been spent, then there will almost certainly be nothing the iTunes Store will be able to do for you.

Apps upgrade on iPad is stalled how do I get out of it

How do I cancel Apps Upgrade. It is stalled and 8 apps are backed out and can't be used

Many times the reset suggested by Alfred is all that it takes to fix something like this. Sometimes, other suggestions will be better suited. If the reset doesn't work, you can go through my "step by step " boilerplate for the "waiting" or stalled apps update issue.
1. Tap the "waiting" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume. If that works, repeat the same steps for each "waiting" icon.
2. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
3. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first.
4. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
5. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. Apps may also be able to be deleted in Settings>General>Usage>Storage if you cannot get the X to pop up on the icon.
6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.

I continue to receive an App upgrade notice for an App that is not on my computer. Apple Tech support has no explanation or solution. This has only occurred after upgrading to Lion. How do I stop this?

You get an update notice for an app that is not installed on your Mac. Is there a stranger's Apple ID also appearing on your Mac related with this update?
If so, you have a pirated app on your Mac. If not, it should be another issue.

App Upgrade Error

I installed latest software update to my 16 Gig iPod Touch. Latest software upgrade is 3.1.3. In iTunes it shows that I have 3 app upgrades but when I try to upgarde, I receive error message that says "not enough memory and there is an error in the iTunes store. Try again later." If I access app store thru my Touch, it says all apps are up to date. Anyone else experience this issue. Thanks.

I have tried to download the same update to my ipod touch and my connection keeps getting timed out and it won't download fully. I have never run into this situation either?? I'm hoping someone can help us both.

I have to upgrade OBIEE 10.1.3.4.1 to OBIEE 11.1.1.5 along with OBIA 7.9.6.1 to 7.9.6.5(Informatica 8.6.1 to 9.0.1) at my client location and I have very little knowledge on it. and want to know/have help documents for upgrade.
And if anyone in the forums involved in upgrade please list the errors/issues occured during upgrade and after upgrade.

Report generation toolkit upgrade issues

I have created multiple vi's in that utilize the previous report generation toolkits specifically using the Generate Report Get Data to Modify.vi and the Generate Report Set Modified Data.vi. Obviously the report reference has now changed in 8.6's version of the report generation toolkit and these vi's do not exist in the 8.6 library anymore. What vi's do I need to replace these functions with to make this code work. Can anyone tell me what the work around is to solving this problem. This is a picture of the code.

The Report Generation VIs on the LabVIEW Palettes mutate properly. However, you may run into upgrade issues if VIs distributed with LabVIEW, but not available in the Palettes are used in the code. Hence, I would caution against using them for the same reason.
In this case, the specific references do exist in the report generation classes; however, since they are private, they cannot be accessed by VIs outside the respective classes. A temporary workaround for now is mentioned in the following KB 4OOCSJ4M Getting References in Report Generation Toolkit 1.1.3 with LabVIEW 8.6.
This was reported to R&D (CAR# 123064) for further investigation

EHP Upgrade Issue - Java Stack

Hi,
We're currently on 4.6b and going to upgrade to ECC6 with unicode I'm trying to compile a list point taken care converting to unicode from ABAP technical point of view. Does anyone have such a list?
Some points i shortlisted are :
1) Use GUI_UPLOAD and GUI_DOWNLOAD rather than WS_UPLOAD and WS_DOWNLOAD.
2) Structures or table headers that contain non-character data need to be identical when moving, comparing, selecting into, updating from, etc.
3) OPEN DATASET filename IN TEXT MODE FOR INPUT ENCODING DEFAULT.
I know there are others. Any help would be appreciated.

Errors in Forte 3.5 -Upgrade issue

hello ,
We are having a frequent disruption in the communication SO which has an
externalConnection Class. Did anything change in 3.5? We did not have
these errors in 3L!
After these erros, we have a mutex locking problem which leaves our
application hanging.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
