  • Remote app upgrade issues..question. help!!!

I have been using my iPad with the remote app to control my iTunes music that is on my Mac mini in my living room. I have had the same app on my iPod and Iphone where all 3 units could request, communicate and interact with iTunes dj...and we could all promote songs by using the vote feature..which would put the hearts next to a song if folks voted to move the song up the list....well with the Remote app upgrade ..the interface is totally different on the iPad now...than it is on the iPod or phone...much more robust...but what has changed ...or maybe I just can't find it.... Is the ability to vote for songs on my iPad to move the, up the list in iTunes dj...all I can do is delete or play it immediately... Abiltiy to vote is enabled in iTunes... Anybody know how to do this in remote app upgrade?
    Any help?

Ok, problem not solved.  I don't understand why my ATV3 disappears when sleeping.  I wonder if it has to do with the ethernet only.  I am going to try wi-fi only again and see if this resolves the issue.  Other thoughts are that whenever my iMac is doing a back-up ill behavior occurs - which is the only activity I see that has transpired since all was well.

  • How can I get rid of app upgrades, when I no longer have the app?

How can I get rid of app upgrades , when I no longer have those particular apps?

If the app is no longer installed on the iPad then you should get prompts about updates to it in the App Store app - as efectively there is nothing for it to update. If you are being prompted to download updates to them then are you sure that they are no longer on the iPad ?
If you are being prompted on your computer's iTunes then if you delete them for the App part of you computer's Library then you shouldn't be prompted about them.

I uploaded my Itunes cards to the wrong account. I am trying to by an in app upgrade, but the app was purcahsed on a different account. How do I transfer the money to the different account?

If you have not spent any of the money from the card, go here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/
and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store. They may be able to restore the money to the card so you can redeem it through the correct account. If any of the money has been spent, then there will almost certainly be nothing the iTunes Store will be able to do for you.

  • Apps upgrade on iPad is stalled how do I get out of it

How do I cancel Apps Upgrade.  It is stalled and 8 apps are backed out and can't be used

Many times the reset suggested by Alfred is all that it takes to fix something like this. Sometimes, other suggestions will be better suited. If the reset doesn't work, you can go through my "step by step " boilerplate for the "waiting" or stalled apps update issue.
    1. Tap the "waiting" icon and see if you can pause it. If it does pause, then tap it again and see if it will resume. If that works, repeat the same steps for each "waiting" icon.
    2. Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    3. Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first.
    4. If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
    5. You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again. Apps may also be able to be deleted in Settings>General>Usage>Storage if you cannot get the X to pop up on the icon.
    6. You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.

  • I continue to receive an App upgrade notice for an App that is not on my computer. Apple Tech support  has no explanation or solution. This has only occurred after upgrading to Lion.  How do I stop this?

I continue to receive an App upgrade notice for an App that is not on my computer. After spending several hours with a variety of divisions (Lion,iTunes,iPad,iMac) of Apple Tech Support, none can give me any definitive explanation or solution.  Prior to my recent upgrade to Lion, this did not occur.  Has anyone else had this problem?  If so, how did you resolve the issue?

You get an update notice for an app that is not installed on your Mac. Is there a stranger's Apple ID also appearing on your Mac related with this update?
If so, you have a pirated app on your Mac. If not, it should be another issue.

  • Since upgrading to 6.01 iOS the app upgrades are locked up and will not download

Since upgrading to 6.01 iOS the app upgrades are locked up and will not download.

My wife's phone had similar symptoms, at least with the text notification alert not working.  I have narrowed it down to happening after we use the new navigation feature in the Maps.  When we power the phone off and back on, the alert sound seems to return.  I haven't tried just "killing" the Maps app after we use it...perhaps that would work as well.

  • Apps upgrade automatically, how to make this stop?

Just got an LG G2.  My apps upgrade automatically without prompting me to proceed or not, eating up my data limit.  I looked throughout settings for this option or switch, haven't been able to find one.  Anyone know how to change this setting?  Thanks

        crairdan,
Congratulations on your recent upgrade! We're here to help customize your updating schedule on your new LG G2; I know how important it is important to stay on top of it. The update settings are adjusted in the Play Store app itself. Simply launch Play Store>Menu>Settings>Auto-update Apps>Select your preferred option.

    No.
You need to upgrade the OS to get a more modern version of Stickies. 10.9 includes version 10.

  • App Upgrade Error

I installed latest software update to my 16 Gig iPod Touch. Latest software upgrade is 3.1.3. In iTunes it shows that I have 3 app upgrades but when I try to upgarde, I receive error message that says "not enough memory and there is an error in the iTunes store. Try again later." If I access app store thru my Touch, it says all apps are up to date. Anyone else experience this issue. Thanks.

I have tried to download the same update to my ipod touch and my connection keeps getting timed out and it won't download fully. I have never run into this situation either?? I'm hoping someone can help us both.

  • After I downloaded and installed the latest iTunes upgrade (to 10.5.1), I am no longer able to download free app upgrades for the apps I have on my iPad/iPhone/iMac which i had previously purchased. Itunes tells me I "don't own the major versions".

After I downloaded and install the latest iTunes software upgrade (to 10.5.1), I am no longer able to download free upgrades to the apps on my iPhone or iPad.
The App Store just says I "don't own the major versions", which of course is nonsense. It seems as if Apple's iTunes/App Store has deleted my download history. Any suggestions?
    Regards,
    Bruce

Actually It doesn't. It says he's on a MacBook. I don't know all the different types of Macs. I was having a ton of problems with iChat. I opened DMZ to my computer, knocked down all firewalls etc and left everything exposed, still with bad results. A few weeks ago my power supply went out on my D-Link. I bought a linksys. Since I'd left all firewalls off I figured it couldn't be the router. I power cycled everything n the netork, still no luck. Today I bought a universal Power supply and started up my D-Link Router. Everything worked perfectly. My wifes computer - a laptop running Tiger worked fine with the Linksys and did my machine before the Leopard upgrade. Now that I've got the D-Link online everythings working.

  • Where can I find the app upgrade feature in genius???

Please see the screen shot above. This was from an article dated 2010 when genius first came out. It stated that genius had a feature that would let you know what apps that you had installed on an iphone could be upgraded to the app made for ipad. Have not been able to locate where to do this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks James but I am not talking about updates I am talking about upgrades....some apps are optimized for iphone and some for ipad. Some apps work with either device. What I am talking about is an article I read that said that genius would tell you if an app you bought that was for an iphone only had a version of it made for ipad that would work. I will paste the wording of the article to better explain myself.
Apple pushed a nice new feature to the iPad section of the App Store this morning. A new tab entitled “iPad Upgrades” lists the iPad-optimized counterparts to iPhone apps you’ve purchased. You’ll find it in the Genius section, which is also new for the iPad (it’s been available for iPhone/iPod touch apps for quite a while).

  • App not appearing after app upgrade & reinstall

    Hi All!
I ran an upgrade for the Facebook app thru the phone, & in the process, my phone froze. I rebooted the phone, & once reboot completes, the app is not found on the home screen, but the settings retain under general settings.
I am unable to uninstall & as I attempted to reinstall the app, the option is greyed out.
So, I used itunes on my pc. I was able to sync & remove the app but after reinstalling the app, the app icon is still unavailable.
Does anybody know a fix before I reset & erase the device back to default?
    Thanks!

I'm having this same problem. I updated FaceBook via the App store on the phone itself and it got "stuck" on "Installing". Like a day later, I noticed it was still in this state. I did a reset of the phone, and now it no longer shows up on the main screen. It still shows up as a Preference, though. When going into the App store, I get the grayed out "Free" button, just as you describe.
I have selected in iTunes to uninstall it, then synced, then to reinstall it, and synced, but no difference.
I've done a Restore and it comes right back to the very same state (with the Preference there, but the app no where to be found). I've even checked via Spotlight to make sure the app wasn't somewhere else on the phone, just not showing up on the home screen (I've read you can do that with the 3.0 OS). Nothing has worked. I did try the "Reset Home Screen" trick mentioned in a linked post, which also did not work.
    Thanks,
    Paul

  • Oracle apps upgrade to 11.5.10 produced FRM-47023 error in custom apps

    Hi,
I didn't know whether to post this in here or in the Applications forum so I posted it in both.
We're upgrading Oracle Apps from 11.5.5 to 11.5.10. We have a custom application that's registered in Oracle Applications and the modules that I've tried to run so far all produce this error:
FRM-47023: No such parameter named G_QUERY_FIND exists in form <form_name>.
    When I press OK:
FRM-40105: Unable to resolve reference to item PARAMETER.G_QUERY_FIND.
    When I press OK:
FRM-40039: Cannot attach library fis_libs while opening from <form_name>.
I've recompiled the library and the form but I'm still getting these errors.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Lorena

    Hi,
We were able to resolve this by putting the library in the $AU_TOP/resource directory. It was previously residing in a custom directory.
    Thanks,
    Lorena
