It may have used the YouTube app that is no longer included in iOS. Try downloading the YouTube app in the App Store and see if it works.

  • Problem using app.launchURL with Adobe Reader X

    Hello -
Have an application that is going live in a couple of days.  In many of our fillable PDF forms we use:
    app.launchURL("http://www.yoursitehere.com", true);
This worked fine until our company pushed out Adobe Reader X to all of our employees.  Now the above function does nothing.
Is anyone experiencing similar?   When I say the function does nothing, you click on button that runs the above function, and no new window opens with specified URL.

I am not quite sure what that means.  Can you please explain?
This has worked on same client pc before with version 7 - 9.   Now doesn't work anymore since upgrade to Adobe Reader X.
Note:  ALL other AcroScript functions work properly
Really appreciate any assistance you have.
    Jeremy
*** UPDATE *** - I just tested more.   The only thing that is NOT working is the second parameter of the launchURL.
If I remove that parameter, or put FALSE, then the URL opens.  However, it opens in the same window which is not what we need.
Putting TRUE in there produces no result.

  • App crash in adobe reader

My adobe reader has stopped working.  I open a document and the error message says that adobe reader has stopped working and closes the program.  It says appcrash in the program details. I have uninstalled, reinstalled and restarted several times with no successl

    Three things to try...
Using Windows Explorer navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, then double-click on Eula.exe and accept the license agreement
Can you open Adobe Reader by itself?  If so, try disabling Protected Mode [Edit | Preferences | Security (Enhanced)].
It could even be a malware issue; see http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/reader-core-dll-error.html

  • Adobe Reader for Windows Phone cannot open older PDF versions?

I've found that Adobe Reader for Windows Phone displays the following error when I try to open certain PDF documents: "There was an error opening the document".
After doing some limited testing I found that it can successfully open PDF documents which were saved as "PDF version: 1.5 (Acrobat 6.x)", but the error appears when it tries to open documents saved as the older format "PDF version: 1.3 (Acrobat 4.x)". (I am checking the filetype version by opening the documents in Adobe Reader X on my PC and looking at the document properties).
My phone is a HTC 7 Mozart running Windows Phone 7.5. I noticed the problem when I was using the SkyDrive app to try and look at some PDF files I have saved in SkyDrive. SkyDrive downloads the file and then passes it to the Adobe Reader app to view. It works when I look at a newer version 1.5 PDF but not the older v1.3 type. Unfortunately my HP Photosmart 5510 scanner outputs scans as PDF files and only in the older file version.
I've tried reinstalling the SkyDrive app and the Adobe Reader app on my phone. (The Adobe Reader app is version 10.1.1, build 20120919).
Is this a known limitation, or is this a bug?
If this is a limitation that won't be fixed - is there an easy way I can convert my files to the newer file type? (Adobe Reader X on my PC doesn't seem to offer a way to convert existing files)
    Thanks!

  • In adobe reader, I can't print from different trays?

Using Adobe Reader, I can't print from different trays on my Lexmark x954 printer.  I've tried reinstalling the print driver (latest version) and reinstalling Adobe Reader with no luck.  I can see the trays and even select them in the print dialog box in adobe but when I print I am unable to print from the correct trays.  It always prints from tray 3 of my printer no matter what tray and type of paper I choose in adobe.  Any suggestions?
I've also noticed a problem printing through Preview.  I can select different trays using preview but the print time is extremely slow.  It seems like it has to re-download the pdf page each time it goes to print.  So a 100 page print job takes 20-30 minutes to complete which means other have to wait for my job to complete so it really slows our office down.
Thanks for your help.  Also, I am using the mountain lion operating system.  Thanks again!

Don't know whether it will make any difference, but a new version of Adobe Reader has just been released:
    http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/73/adobe-reader  (version 11.0.03).

Adobe Reader Touch works with Touch and mouse & keyboard.
To see available features/options in the toolbar(s), you can
    Mouse: Right-click.
Keyboard: Press Windows logo key + Z.
Touch: Swipe up from the bottom edge or swipe down from the top edge.
These are generic Windows 8/RT commands to show toolbars (a.k.a. App Bars), which should work for any Windows Store apps, not just Adobe Reader Touch.
Additional information can be found on the Microsoft site.

  • Adobe reader fast now it is slow...Help!

I have been using Adobe for about 2-3 months on my Samsung tablet. It has worked well until now. It is slow and the screen stays black like it won't turn on and when I go to get out of the program. It turns on, but I already swiped it off my screen.

I have a Samsung Tab S. All the app says is Adobe Reader. I don't know what version it is. What has been happening is I will tap the app, it will then open to a black screen and stay like that for for what seems like forever, but is probably about 20-30 seconds. Then I will try to scroll through my Pdfs  and it stutters. When I find the document I open it and it goes black again. It also scrolls slower.

  • Adobe Reader 6

Can anyone suggest a clean, elegant way to create an app to install
Adobe Reader 6 with all of its updates? (We have a bunch of Windows 98
machines that can't use AR 7.) The way Adobe has distributed AR 6 and
its patches has been idiotic. To get to the latest you have to install
version 6.01, followed by the 6.02 patch, then 6.03, then 6.04, and
6.05. The patch files are executables that have MSIs rather than MSPs
in them, so I can't make an MSI application and simply add on patches.
Would I be best off just taking a snapshot of the entire installation
    sequence?

If the patch is a msp, then you can apply it to the inital msi NAL app
object. There is a location for this in the MSI properties of the NAL
    object.

  • AdobePDFViewer cannot find a compatible Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader to ..

Safari gets stummped when trying to open PDF files posted on some bank and financial sites. Instead, a dialog box / file browser box is opened which requests one to navigate to the reader. This even tho your reader is right there, visible in dialog box (* the 'Acrobat Reader 9' folder is in std font, but the app in folder, 'Adobe Reader.app', is grayed out *). I have a screen shot of this box, but cannot attach.
I have removed the Adobe plugin from ~/Library/internet Plug-Ins, there was no such plugin in /Library. I cleared Safari cache and restarted all to no avail. (ps: rather then removing, I renamed the Adobe plugin to removed_Adobe....)
Any suggestions? If I paste the URL of document into Firefox, firefox can deal with it. URL for test: http://materials.proxyvote.com/Approved/MC0069/20090203/AR_33254.PDF

(ps: rather then removing, I renamed the Adobe plugin to removed_Adobe....)
I doubt Safari will care what the file is called If it finds a plugin, it will try to use.
Try moving the file to your Desktop instead and then Quit and restart Safari.

  • Adobe reader says too many activations.

Have adobe reader on ipad and iphone. each time itune updates, I have to activate reader again. now it says I have too many activations and I cannot use it anymore. Suggestions?

That's not the Adobe Reader. We don't have an error message like that. If you like, you can take a screenshot (press home key and the power key and the screen shot will be captured to your photo library) and share that with us on the forum or in email at [email protected]
It does look like Overdrive is using an Adobe Account. From what I can tell in their support, you may have a limited number of devices on which you can use a particular Adobe ID. They recommend you contact Adobe support for help on this. The best link I've been able to find is this one:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/en/x-productkb/policy-pricing/account-password-sign-faq.html
If you scroll to the bottom of that page, there is a "Chat with an agent" link that you might try (since I don't see this error message listed there".
I also found a few other users in our forums who were having this issue. They resolved it by correcting the timezone on their iPad. Again, note that they are using the Overdrive app, not the Adobe Reader =)

  • Nokia fix adobe reader on E72 VERY VERY URGENT

Recently I have upgraded fw to 54.005 from 52.005 with a lot of hope of getting updated adobe reader 2:5. But what I got is version .001 labelled as version 2.5. Nokia people please visit quickoffice site to know features of AR 2.5, what you are providing is not the same application which is sold on quick office site. Your application versiion is higher than the application available for sale at quick office site, but exect opening a pdf file nothing is possible with adobe reader you have provided. Even I am not able to purchase one from quick office as present application not allowing me to update/upgrade. I used AR 2:5 on my old E61 long back and it is exellent was very happy

    Reply to Thetao
Mr Thetao my intention is not conclude version, but to say how primitive is the app is.
Adobe Reader v 2.5 (192) which is available at quick office has great features http://www.quickoffice.com/adobe_reader/   I did used is on my old E71 and it is great.
But though Nokia says its version is 2.5(202), why it is so primitive, it has no features execept opening a pdf file ( am talking about on E72, I don't know about it functionality on e73)
Non of the below features are there in e72 Adobe reader v 2.5(202)
    Adobe Reader LE 2.5 Features
View documents easier with text-reflow to eliminate left-right scrolling
Get accurate renderings of content, images, complex layouts, and formatting
Increase content legibility on small screens with ZoomView™ navigation technology
See smoother shading and transparencies rendered in documents
Rotate pages in horizontally or vertically to maximize the viewing area
Navigate PDF files quickly using embedded bookmarks

  • How do I access Adobe Reader, Adobe ExportPDF?

I purchased Adobe Reader, Adobe ExportPDF Subscription (Automatic Renewal) via iPad / iTunes yesterday and have been billed accordingly, however I can only see the free version via all devices.
How do I access the paid version?

    Hi jakes1nz,
The Apple App store handles subscriptions made via in-app purchase from Adobe Reader for iOS, so I can't check the status of your subscription on this end, unfortunately. I can say, that subscriptions made though the Adobe Store can take 24-48 hours to complete processing, so perhaps the same is true of your App Store purchase.
When you're in Reader for iOS, have you logged in? It's necessary to log in to Acrobat.com to access your subscription.
    Best,
    Sara

  • Error when starting Adobe reader 11 App-V package

How do I disable Acrobat reader for checking if the ARM Service is present?
I have created an app-v 5.0 package for Acrobat reader 11.  When I run the package on the sequencer I don't have any issues.  When I run it on my test machine I get  a pop-up stating "There was an error during installation.  An internal
    error occurred."
I have already tried removing the reg keys in the package that refer to ARM, but this hasn't worked.
Is there a step I need to take before sequencing that will resolve this?

    Adobe has an how-to for that;

so the steps may be a little bit different.

  • I cannot download Adobe Reader app using my IPod Touch 4th Generation due to iOS upgrade.

I have an IPod Touch 4th Generation (the older model) and the highest operating system stops at iOS 6.1.6. Unfortunately, when I tried to download Adobe Reader app, it only works for the newer IPod Touch 5th Generation with an operating system of iOS 7.0 or higher. My question is that since I cannot download Adobe Reader app, is there a way for me to open PDF files on my IPod Touch by using Safari? There is no way I can find an Adobe Reader app that works for my operating system or an operating system that works for iOS 6.0 or lower. Is there another program similar to Adobe Reader where I can open PDF files that works for iOS 6.0 or lower?
    Thanks.

    Krispy2010,
Please note that my instructions are intended for Adobe Reader for iOS, not for all iOS apps in general.
Adobe Reader for iOS does offer earlier compatible versions for iOS 5 and 6 via the App Store.  Because the supported iOS version for Adobe Reader for iOS is 5 or later.
Tech specs | Adobe Reader mobile app
However, I cannot speak for other apps, such as Costco app and NFL app that you have mentioned.  It is up to each individual app developer/company to decide whether to take advantage of Apple's App Store's features to offer earlier versions.
Install the latest compatible version of an app on an earlier version of iOS or OS X - Apple Support
If a compatible version isn't available, you can try contacting the app developer. Look for contact information on the app's product page in the App Store or Mac App Store.
