App Wanted to Display Large Scrolling Text

At a very crowded & noisy gig a while ago I saw someone use their iPhone to display a message to someone about 10 yards away (who he couldn't get to easily). He did it by typing the message into his iPhone and then holding the iPhone up & it displayed the message as large scrolling text (IIRC it was something like "2 pints bitter, glass wine & some nuts"). I haven't been able to find something (pref free) that can do that - any ideas?

Maybe this... http://appshopper.com/utilities/shout-it

    Hi All

i.e. something like, 'click on Add Records'
    Any ideas pls..

Did u tried as Ravans suggested.
Put the indicators outside of the case structures.  Wire across the borders of the case structure.  It creates "tunnels".
     I am not getting
but it displays both result at a time. but i want
to display the instruction first, to the user, so that they act
according to the instruction and ,than i want to display the result.
     Try this VI.

  • Photo app that can display large EXIF caption field?

A while ago I went in search of a photo app that could display captions along with my photos.  I didn't really need to do any serious editing of the photo.  I settled on Photo Manager Pro and I'm pretty happy with it except it can only display one line of caption (below the photo): about 100 characters.  Anything more than that is just cut off.  I tend to be pretty verbose in my captions and would like to be able to display 256 chars.  Is anyone aware of an iPad photo app that can do this?  The native Photos app doesn't permit captions, and iPhoto allows only a small caption.

correction to previous: I meant IPTC caption field.

During the closing ceremony of the London Olympics I saw a lot of atheletes holding up their iphones while diplaying large "running" messages like "Thank you" etc.  Sort of like a ticker tape message and I've been trying to search the web and itune store for an app for this.
Does anybody know what the app is call?

Directing you to the manual (and the specific page on the manual, I might add) will help you not only with this question but with the other basic questions you may have. Unless, of course, you're too lazy to help educate yourself. We teachers hate that.
Auto-correct works is what Apple calls predictive text. As you type, it will give you suggestions. I will leave you to explore the rest of how that works in the manual.

  • Itunes app store is displayed in rubbish text & payment methods

    Hi,
I've been having problems exploring the Itunes app store, as the text displayed in the page is all in rubbish text/illegible even though I have selected my own country for the store. My other friends does not seem to have this problem. How do I solve this?
Attached is the screenshot of what I see.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

(Sorry Dark about the threadjack, side comment to Katrina.)
Ooops. I guess Helvetica doesn't come with Windows.
Crikey, you're absolutely right. I'm working off an old work laptop of Helen's which has never had much but Oracle and Office installed on it, and it doesn't have a Helvetica. I checked on the MS Typography page, and couldn't find a mention of it there, either:
    http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fonts/
Maybe my earlier PCs got Helvetica via a Pagemaker installation? Not sure how else I might have got it.

  • Scrolling Text box - won't work in IE

Hey everyone. I'll admit right off the bat that I'm very new
to web design, so I'm sure I've been making some mistakes. I'm much
more of a designer than a coder, but I'm doing the best I can.
I'm wanting to have a scrolling text box embedded on some of
my pages, and have figured out how to do it, thanks largely to
these forums. I've made a CSS tag that has gotten it working
    correctly - sort of.
You can see the page in question at
    http://www.kylehamrick.com/testing.html
It appears to be working correctly in Firefox. However, in
IE, the text just keeps flowing down onto the page, outside of the
allotted area. What am I doing wrong?
Also, is there a way to make this look correct in
Dreamweaver? Once I add text that exceeds the table height, it
breaks up my page, though it still looks fine in the browser. Is
there something I can do to correct this?
Thanks in advance for any assistance with this. I sincerely
    appreciate it.
Any other advice in regards to the page is welcome! Please
keep in mind that I'm very new to this, and it's still under
construction, so don't be TOO harsh... =)
Also, is this all I have to do? It seems that you all have a
way to examine my code and such just by having me post the url, is
that right? Is there anything else you need from me?

Anyone? Sorry, had to give this a bump. Seems it got buried
    VERY quickly.
Again, I'd appreciate any guidance you can provide!

  • Scrolling Text Box question

I'm changing a site for a friend. She wants to add a scrolling text box with a bio of herself on the grid we're already using on her page. The problems I'm having are it's difficult to resize the box once on the grid (you can't) and I keep missing anything that looks like the ability to scroll up and down on the text box. I'm sure I'm missing something which is why I'm here. :-)
    Thanks in advance! :-)

check out the overflow:scroll command in the css - I'm not sure how this works with grids, however - but it could be a starting point....
    hope this helps

  • Not to display window scroll bar on the layout

    Hi all,
when i am seeing the o/p layout in that i dont want to display window scroll bar kindly tell me how to solve this issue.
    Regards,
    Naveen

    hi,
sctroll bar in window can't be controlled if your layout is broader so you will need to make your layout such that it fits in the o/p window.

  • How to Put scrolling text below masthead?

    Hi,
I have written a portal component which has got marque text.
I want to display this marque text just above the top level navigation and below the masthead.
I added my component in the framework but then when I login only my component is displayed.
    Regards,
    Anagha

    Hi,
If it is a portal component, you can create iView from the component directly. Open default framework page (DFP) and right click the iView and add it to DFP. Make sure you have set entry point property of iView to Yes. In the DFP, click on page layout radio button and arrange the iView next to masthead and save it. Logout and login back to check. I would advise to check these with copy of DFP since any wrong changes done to standard DFP can cause other portal problems.

  • It is possible to Display HTML Formatted Text?

    Hi
This is what I want to accomplish:
I created a system and now I want to add a help button on each page. This button will open a popup window which will display the help of the current page. (This is done)
But now I want to display a formated text (plain or html) just like this example:
    h2. Help
    Page 20:
    Description:
This page displays a list of users.
    And don't like this other:
Help Page 20: Description: This page displays a list of users.
    Thanks a lot!

This is still a problem...I'd like to add a bit to it.
The HTML Editor correctly places formatting tags around the text and the item is saved to the db (or whatever)...however, when displaying the formatted text on an apex generated page, and it doesn't matter what type of DISPLAY (saved, non-saved, escape, etc..) is being used, Apex places <SPAN class="display_only"> around the text in question which is apparently overriding the html tags, so the text displays in the CSS defaults regardless of the formatting used by the HTML Editor. The reason the formatted text displays correctly in a "report" is because this span doesn't exist.
I'd like to take the time to add a change request and request that item level classes are not buried within apex and the theme. It would be nice if they were displayed on the item, for example, so they could be easily removed or overrided...this span for example overrides even a TD level custom class because of it's placement, so there seems to be little or no way to override it.

  • Possible to show bottom of scrolling text first when icon is displayed?

    Hi,
Does anyone know if it is possible to show the bottom of
scrolling text when the display comes up? For instance, let's say
you have 20 lines of text in a scrolling display, but it only has
room for 10. By default, Authorware shows the top 10 lines in the
scrolled display, not the bottom 10. I want to show the bottom
    10--is this possible?
    Thanks,
    Edwin

    Hi,
Well, I decided to have the most current information at the
top of the display. For instance, if it were a chat, the most
current chat info would be on top instead of on bottom. That fixed
    the problem adequately.

    Hello Charles.
You may be having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not coming from one of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] and select ''Disable all add-ons''. If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and theme. You can troubleshoot plugins the same way.
If you want support for one of your add-ons, you'll need to contact its author.
