App world icon is missing

I'm using Torch 9800, and d OS is 6.0. Since I upgraded the blackberry app world, the icon has been missing, I've tried everything possible to restore but all my effort has been in vain. Pls what can I do restore the icon?

If you device OS is prior to 6.0.0.706 then try Updating your device software OR simply Download BlackBerry World version 4.0.0.55 which is the best workaround now available for BlackBerry World , first uninstall any existing version of BlackBerry world from your device from : Options > Device > Application Management > Locate and delete BlackBerry World , then perform a Battery pull restart .
After reboot from your BlackBerry Browser browse to or Click here http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=appworld3 to download version 4.0.0.55 . In addition check this Knowledge Base for further help :

App world icon is missing from my Home and Download screens

I upgraded to Blackberry App World version 4.0.0.63 on my Blackberry Bold 9780 yesterday. After re-booting the phone, my App World icon was suddenly missing from my home screen. It was not on my Download screen either. I could also not find it when doing a search for App World. I re-installed App World from the Blackberry website. I still had the same problem. Then a friend suggested that I un-install App World by Settings: Device: Application Management: Blackberry App World - and selecting delete in Options. I did this - and then re-installed App World AGAIN on my phone from the website. And still the problem persists. Do I actually have App World on my phone or not? If I do have it on my phone, how and where do I find the icon - so I can place it on my home screen.

after upgrading to OS 4.0.0.65 my BB app world was missing. i have tried to reboot and re-install the app world but it doesn't work...

App World Icon Missing

I've downloaded the BB AppWorld (Version 4.0.0.65) but the icon is not showing up anywhere- neither in Applications (Show All) nor in Downloads.
It is showing in the Application Management (Options) but I'm not able to use it from there.

APP WORLD ICON DISAPPEARED AFTER UPGRADE

Okay so I have had enough!! This the third time I'm having this issue, i update my black berry app world the icon disappears i uninstall app world and I come here get a link to the former version and redownload but guess what? everytime I do this give it a couple of days tops it alerts me that there is an upgrade available for my app world I upgrade and then the circle begins again! Its so tiring! Can RIM please find a lasting solution to this issue because battery pulling of my battery,uninstalling, going back to the old version non of these profers a permanent solution!HELP!!!

Cannot view my blackberry app world icon

I had to re-download blackberry app world application as it was deleted after trying to download new version. I have it installed but it is not set as an icon. I tried to re-download it again but the same thing happened. I cannot go into blackbery app world to download and I don't receive any update for upgrades etc.please assist

Blackberry App world icon disappear on 8900

app world icon has disappeared. it only appear on the application center and cannot open it. when i click on it takes me through the whole installation process and after all this, still does not appear anywhere.

Have you tried removing the battery and placing it back in?
Also have you looked under your downloads folder to see if App World was listed there?

Where did my BB App World icon go?

Ok, so I've downloaded the latest update for the BB App World, and after it rebooted I can't find the BB App World icon anywhere!
Can anybody please help me with this? It's not on the homescreen or any folders. I've looked for it 3 times. It just vanished.

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.
With performing an app load I do suggest performing an enterprise activation if you're having trouble receiving emails.
I honestly perform an enterprise activation after every update.
If the application is still not appearing try re-downloading the application from www.blackberry.com/appworld and once completed, restart the BlackBerry and it should appear on your home screen.

How to find my app world icon?

I wiped my playbook and updated to 1.0.5 yesterday. But after installion, I found no app world icon in my all app list. oh, without app world I can't insall app, my pb become useless.. who can tell my how to find my app world icon ,thx...

did you upgrade to 1.0.6 ? Do you have the AppWorld icon now?

My App Store icon is missing from ipad and won't re-install? You can't delete it so where is it?

If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by Settings > General > Restrictions > Installing Apps being set 'off' ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

App World icon has disappear and BB protect shows error message

App World icon has disappear so I can not update any App. I have no idea what happened.
Regarding BlackBerry Protect, when I touch the icon it appears an error message ("Error starting net_rim_bb_dryad_gui: Module´net_rim_bb_dryad_commonlib´not found.") so I could not back up my information since a while.

My App store icon is missing after ios 7 update.

I updated to ios 7 and now my App Store icon is missing. There is one page that only has one icon on it, so I am not sure if other stuff is missing too. Other problems I have had:
All of my contacts disappearing and then reappearing.
My privacy settings for photos being changed
not able to add events to my calendar
When I search for something in safari, I click on a result and it will not open the link.
Any solutions?

Blackberry app world icon disappeared

Can anyone please help!!
upgraded my bb app world to find out the icon disappeared from my menu
its not hidden, its in the application page but it wont let me open it!
i have tried everything: deleting, re installing, re booting, taking the battery out,
think i have rebooted by phone about 10 times by now and it still won't come up on the main menu
how do i get bb app world icon back to the main menu????

good day all, i have noticed there have been a couple posts on the forum regarding the disappearance of the app world icon after upgrade, though i have not seen a reply with a solution, as all solutions have not worked is there anyone who can help me get my app world back as this seems to be a common issue?

HELP HELP App world icon disappeared

My App World icon has disappeared from desktop while uptdating to ver 3.1.0.56. I have checked this forums and it seems it's a widespread problem and the solution is to wipe the cell phone software and then reinstall everything.
However, I am not satisfied with this solution as: 1 - I paid a lot of money for a work instrument that is software prorietary; 2 - I have no computer I can use to install BB software as I am running Linux; 3 - RIM has been aware of this bug some time but yet hasn't done anything to fix it or avoid it in the future.
So my question now is: is there another way to make my icon reappear or should I just replace my and all my employees' cell phones with Android ones?

Have a look at the post above - it depends on which version you're talking about. A lot of people were having problems with version .56 and then installing the BB ID app after doing the update. Then with version .58, a lot of people had the problem with the AppWorld icon disappearing after the upgrade. If this is your problem, then you can simply go to http://appworld.blackberry.com/ on your phone and install version .56 from there and that should overwrite .58 to .56. Hope this helps...
