App world upgrade

Hi I have a blackberry curve 8520 , after I downloaded the newer version of app world v3 it says uncaught exception java lang error, I do not know what this means

To resolve the uncaught exception error you received after downloading BlackBerry App World™ storefront, please try uninstalling the application, reinserting your battery, then reinstalling BlackBerry App World™ storefront and testing again.

    Last night I upgraded App World on my Bold9700 and have been getting the following error message since:-
    Uncaught exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError
    I cannot get into the App world at all since the upgrade. I have also tried rebooting the phone on several occasions since and that has not cleared it. Any suggestions on how to get this sorted would be gratefully appreciated.

  • Blackberry App World Upgrade Issue

    I recently attempted to upgrade from a previous version of App World.  The upgrade blew away my old version adn icon.  The new version did not appear on my home page or download folder.  I searched add-on apps in the options-applicaitons folder and found it  there but am unable to find a method of displaying and using it.  Can someone help me???

  • Apps world upgrade

    Guys I upgraded my whatsapp messenger and then my apps world and since the the icons of both have vanished from my blackberry torch screen. All attemptes of retrieving the same have failed. I even  reinstalled the apps world and whatsapp messenger but the same result. Have done hard reboot also. pls help.

    I did a BB App World update last week on my Tour 9630 and used one of my personal email address as the BB ID.  The phone is now spamming all of my contacts with each RIM cycle.  The only way to make it stop so far has been to  delete the email account from the phone.  Any suggestions for other fixes short of restoring to factory settings?

                            As I said earlier to enjoy various application of Blackberry like BBM,IM,Twitter,Facebook for BlackBerry, App world we need Specific BlackBerry Data Plans a normal Internet plan from your carrier will not allow Those BlackBerry features.
                         So if you want to enjoy all BlackBerry  features you have to call your Wireless Service Provider and let them activate BlackBerry Internet Service in your account.

    Try this -
    When you device is POWERED ON, remove the battery for a minute, and then reinsert the battery. This make a reboot to your device which resolves minor issues with the BlackBerry device.
    If doing above doesn't resolve the issue then follow the be knowledge base articles instruction:

  • App World software fails after upgrade

    I updated my app world software.  Now when I open the program, it says that "a BB identity upgrade is needed" and would I like to install it now.  When I click yes, it's "contacting BB ID server 0".  Then I get the error message "BB identity installation failed, please try again later 8003" and the program exits.  This problem has existed for 3 days now.

    Hi all,
    I've solved my problem.  I'm with vodascum on pre-paid but I don't think that makes a difference.  I tried deleting the app world application and installing it again - according to the vodascum employee, that works.  It didn't.  What worked was disabling the vodascum network by unchecking "mobile network" in Manage Connections and enabling "wifi".
    My Identity software installed in a flash.
    Therefore, I attribute this problem to a South African fail.

    Okay so I have had enough!! This the third time I'm having this issue, i update my black berry app world the icon disappears i uninstall app world and I come here get a link to the former version and redownload but guess what? everytime I do this give it a couple of days tops it alerts me that there is an upgrade available for my app world I upgrade and then the circle begins again! Its so tiring! Can RIM please find a lasting solution to this issue because battery pulling of my battery,uninstalling, going back to the old version non of these profers a permanent solution!HELP!!!

    We upgrade Blackberry app world to my daughter’s Curve and registered, now she cannot download anything, it keeps taking her to her profile page. We went to the closest blackberry provider and we were told there is a problem with App World after it upgrades?? Is this true?

    Issue: When attempting to launch Blackberry App World, nothing happens when clicking on the application. The application does show that it is currently running, but when attempting to switch to it nothing happens.
    Troubleshooting:
    -Rebooted Blackberry twice
    -Pulled battery from Blackberry
    -Reinstalled Blackberry App World from the web site download
    -Refreshed the service books as suggested in the earlier post
    Unfortunately when using the desktop software, it's not listed as an application that you can remove or else I would try that as well. I've done a backup, but I really do not want to wipe my device unless absolutely necessary.

    Hello, Kindly assist as i have been trying to upgrade my blackberry app world for days now. when i click on the icon , it takes me to the the homepage but when i click on upgrade today icon, i get sorry, your session has expired. please close all your browser windows.     Can you try it again in this manner :
    On your device > Go to Options > Application > locate and delete any existing version of BlackBerry world from there.

    Once you have deleted from there , reboot your device by removing the same while your device is Powered On , wait for a min. then reinsert it back.
    Finally after reboot use your BlackBerry browser and browse to www.blackberry.com/appworld/download and download the most recent availble .
    Click " Like " if you want to Thank someone.
    If Problem Resolves mark the post(s) as " Solution ", so that other can make use of it.

    Hi my phone is the Blackberry Curve 8900 and i am on the o2 network.I recieved an upgrade message tonight from Blackberry App World for the newest version of the app.I downloaded and then let the phone reboot.Since then the load up screen gets about halfway then freezes.I have removed the battery and left for 10 mins but no luck.I left the phone to reboot for around an hour but no luck.I have also tried connecting it to the PC but it says the device is not recognised as it is rebooting?

    That happened to me, what you have to do is take out the battery and hold down the back space button while it restarts. Then it is in safe mode now you need to delete the upgrade.
    I hope this works
