App world will not work
ok so when I download app world it says blackberry app world is having trouble connecting to the network try again later. I have done software updates but nothing seems to help, does anyone have a clue what I might be able to do to fix this problem

A few possibilities.
Please review the system requirements...ensure that you meet them all. Check with you carrier concerning their requirement for an appropriate service plan from them.
Please ensure that you reside in a country that has the service:

Please ensure that you can otherwise use BB services -- PUSH email, web browsing, 3rd party internet use, etc.

Hello...well, to start with, that is not the latest AppWorld....3.1.4.25 is the latest. Therefore, I suggest you try this sequence:
1) Remove AppWorld from your BB

If it requests that you reboot the BB, do so
2) Do a Batt-Pull reboot (power on, remove battery, wait, insert battery, wait), even if redundant to the one you did in step 1.
3) Install (on your BB) a fresh copy of AppWorld

Again, if it requests to reboot, do so.
4) Do another Batt-Pull reboot
5) See if it now works.

App Store Failure / Updates White Screen
Tap Settings > General > Date and Time > Set Automatically > Off. Set the date one year ahead. Then try to access the App Store.
It may be a connection issue. Try changing your DNS settings to Google’s open DNS by tapping Settings > Wi-Fi >, tap the blue arrow next to your current Wi-Fi network, and then tap the “DNS” field and enter the DNS servers; 8.8.8.8 (Google’s Public DNS, 8.8.4.4 also alternate). -

Apart from WiFi are you able to use those applications over your Mobile Network .
Do you have BlackBerry Data Plan on your account ?
Also when you try to access BlackBerry World over you Mobile network are you getting any errors ?

"App world"? That is for Blackberry devices.
If you're trying to download apps for the iPhone from anywhere other than Apple's own AppStore, you can't. -

Although this is an old thread, I encountered this error message a couple of days ago on both my old Q10 and new Classic. After I verified that the BlackBerry World website was not down, I searched for a solution.
The BB tech rep told me to turn off the WiFi and try to connect over the data connection. It worked. Then she told me to turn off Data Services and try to connect over WiFi. It worked.
After fits and starts, the solution was simple: Turn off and WiFi and turn it back on again.

I downloaded the piano keyboard app....will not work at all....the screen comes up but no a tigon when trying to use...also no sound.
Try a couple of basic troubleshooting steps,
Quit the app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Delete the app and reinstall. You will not have to pay for it again as long as you use the same Apple ID that you bought it with. Hold down on the icon until it jiggles, then tap the X on the icon to delete the app. Tap the home button to stop the apps from jiggling. Go back to the App Store purchased tab and download the app again. -

Appworld no longer loads on my Torch 9800
The Icon is there but nothing happens when I click on it, it is as if I did not click on it
I have tried rebooting
I deleted Appworld and reloaded it, even though I deleted first when I re-install it thinks appworld is still on my device and offers a overwrite
I tried visiting Appworld on my computer and using the Q-code to bypass Appworld on my device and load new apps that way but even that will not work
Any suggestions?

Every time I creat bb ID It can't logon every time msg ' an error occured plz try again later ' I tried to make several ID s and logon but nothing happened. Plz help as I want to use it and not to be useless like this, plz if the solution is to redownload app world again tell me how to do this and how to delete the old one. , thanks in advace hope to solve m problem

this troubleshooting for BB 7 mine is curve9300 6 bundle 2475 can't be updated for 7 as it says " no updates available, it's up to date" .and the options > device doesn't contain anything related to the bb ID.
I replaced the app on my device from www.blackberry.com/appworld/download with a newer version, proceed with rebooting. then BB identity is required to be installed
it will ask for rebooting or restarting just proceeeed

App world will not download any thing
Every time I try to download an app. I get the same message: Blackberry App World is having trouble connecting to the Blackberry App World server. Verify your network connecdtions and try again.. texting works internet works is not a connection problem This has been going on for months now. I have a Torch 9810 with up to date software.

I have rebooted phone, uninstalled and reinstalled app world, but it refuses to open. Click on it, use menu option, nothing. I have notice that 2 of my apps have newer ver's on app world, the email notice will not open app world like it used to! Any ideas?
OK, got it. Uninstalling and reinstalling from the phone didn't do it. Connecting to the computer and uninstalling and reinstalling did it. I love my Blackberry but RIM really needs to get their act together. It takes around 8 minutes for my phone to reboot, and I have to do that far more often than I should. I ev en have quick pull reboot the phone every night, and I STILL have to pull the battery at times! Then I am without a phone, calander, etc for 8 minutes. After years of being a loyal BB user, this is wwearing thin especially when Droids and i Phones do not seem to have this issue, and have more apps available.

App store will not work on phone
Just had an issue on one of my iphone 4's. When selecting the app store icon on the phone it says itunes is not installed on this computer. Never seen this happen before but the only thing that seems to work is the updates tab which when you try to update it says cannot connect to the itunes store. The phone is connected via wifi so that is not the problem. Everything else works fine on the phone. Anyone have any ideas what to do? I just updated to 4.2 hoping that will fix the problem but no go.
to be honest these are the solutions that may or may not work..
first thing I would try is rebooting the phone by holding the sleep/wake button and home button for 15 seconds until you see the white apple logo
if that doesn't work I would restore from backup and if that doesn't work I would restore as new if all else fails take it to your closest apple store they may replace the phone for a working one.. -
App World will not load updates it prompts me to upgrade
App World version is 3.1.4.25. It is prompting me to load updates for Battery Booster and Quicklaunch. When I go through the upgrade process, I go back to apps, and they are still at the prior version, and App World is still telling me to upgrade. . .

Remove the app(s):

Clear out all hints of the apps:
Homescreen > Options > Advanced Options > Applications > highlight the app > > Delete
AppWorld > MyWorld > Login > highlight the app (if it shows at all, in any state) > > Delete
Use either your PC (via Mass Storage Mode) or your BB (via Media > > Explore) and find any references (folders, files) to the app. Delete whatever you find. Search both your Device Memory as well as your Media Card.
Now try to re-install the apps:

You may want to add some more Clear Cache routines...please be sure that the Clear Cache processes exactly as described in my prior post (I could not tell, from your most recent post, if the Clear Cache worked correctly or not for you).

My lovely daughter decided to mess with the settings. Not being able to read- she just did a bunch of touching pictures... JOY... now when I go to open App WOrld it tells me "Blackberry App works is not currently available in your country". We are in America, and the other PLaybook in the house still functions as per normal.
Any ideas what my 5 yr old pressed????If you backed the Playbook up on your PC using the Desktop Manager software, you should be able to easily restore it.
You can also do a wipe on it, and then re-initilaize it back to its birthday.
