Appe TV synching, but not streaming

I just got my Apple TV. It detects my network and the Apple TV icon appears on my devices in I-tunes. It synchs fine, but now the hard drive on the Apple TV is full and I hardly have any of my music on it. This thing is supposed to stream music and movies from I-Tunes on my PC to Apple TV....right? I have I-Tunes running on my PC and like I said the Apple TV icon is seen on the I-tunes screen, but on Apple TV in the my music screen only shows what has synched onto the Apple TV hard drive. What am my doing wrong?

A secondary library will stream only, to set up a secondary library you will need to unpair your primary library first (select 'settings/computers/your library') and then select 'settings/computers/connect to shared library'
However before you do that you can stream everything but photos from a primary library and there are significant advantages to having a primary library. Your primary library will stream everything that isn't synced and you can actually tell it to sync nothing, in which case everything will be streamed.
If your tv is only showing that which you have synced then you most likely have the 'Show only synced items...' box checked under the summary tab.

Everything will be deleted if you unpair your primary library, however if you intend to keep your primary library, simply deselect the items you no longer want synced and the next time you sync they will be deleted from the tv.

If you intend to ever sync your phone with your Macbook then you can't delete the app from your Macbook, otherwise the apps will also delete from your iPhone (as you've discovered).

When you go onto iTunes and you have plugged the device in it comes up at the top saying 'summary' 'info' etc if you press onto 'apps' does it show that they are ticked where it says sync apps? if not then tick it, sync it and hopefully that will help?

Can control desktop via devices, but not streaming TO devices?

Just got "Remote" app, and have iTunes on my PC/desktop. I've turned on Home Sharing on both desktop iTunes and on iPad 3 and iPhone 5. I can browse iTunes just fine from devices, and control my desktop just fine from here in another room, but the music is not streaming to devices as I believe it should.
What step am I missing? In "Settings" in both remote devices, I don't see a "More" option in either "Music" or "Videos" like the online instructions say.

Yes. Some network environments (typically Windows Active Directory/ISA Servers) block outbound VPN and/or VNC connections. I have known this at a number of sites I support. Especially educational sites where you may be dealing with more than one filter/proxy. Outbound connectivity may be allowed locally but may be blocked further upstream.
Has it ever worked? If it has in the past and it's not working now that may be because your home IP address (external one) has changed? Residential IP addresses are generally dynamically assigned. You may want to consider logmein instead? This makes connectivity possible via standard http ports.

Buddy in app buddy list but not in menubar buddy list

For some reason, one of my Buddies does not show up in the Buddy List available from the menubar. That buddy (and all buddies) are listed in the Buddy List shown within the iChat application. I tried deleting the preferences plist files as referenced in http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=8269981 but it did not change the behavior I am seeing. Any suggestions?

I found the solution. That person had their AIM account entered twice into their address card on my computer. The capitalization was different between the two entries as well. I removed the buddy, deleted the extra AIM account entry from their address card, then added them back as a buddy as all is well!

App quits unexpectedly, but not from my b/u HD

The application PTHPasteboard quit unexpectedly after working for one day. Launching it causes its windows to appear for one second and disappear. As I have a (recent) complete Mac HD backup on a Firewire external HD, I booted from the Firewire and tried PTHPasteboard. It worked normally. So I deleted the Mac HD version and replaced it with a copy from the Firewire HD. But after restarting Mac HD, PTHPasteboard quit again as before. Repairing permissions had no effect. I also tried a safe boot (shift booting) without better result.
Emailing PTH Consulting produced the reply I expected (none)
We are fortunate that forums don't use canned help (ahem, so far...). It makes all the difference. Has anyone an idea of why this app works on a backup but not on the original HD? It must be something that I did since the backup, but how can I find what? . I am reluctant to re-install PTHPasteboard as I would have to redo all the settings!

For each application, there is an application preference file stored in your Home directory at Home > Library > Preferences and the application preference file stores all settings/preferences for the application.
When deleting and re-installing an application, the existing application preference file is not deleted and installed new.
This may be a problem with the application preference file on your normal HD boot volume.
With the application quit on your normal hard drive boot volume, try replacing the application preference file with a copy of the application preference file in your Home directory on your Firewire drive. Be sure to replace the existing with a copy of the preference file from your Firewire drive.

Many people are having this problem for the last couple of days. This is a problem that Apple has to fix. If you look around the forum, you will see many, many discusssions about this and they have been going on for a few days.
According to Fly150 in another discussion, this is a workaround - for the time being.
If you want to update the Apps while waiting for Apple to fix Updates:
1. Go to App Store
2. Select Purchased
3. Select All
4. Scroll down to find the Apps showing update
5. Select update on the Apps
This should update the Apps and get rid of the update count in App Store.

I own an iPhone 5S with iTunes 11 on a Windows PC.
I can not see any reason why I would want to waste gigs of my hard drive on iphone apps, which I cannot run on my computer and which I can install from the cloud using the app store on my iPhone.
Is there any way to delete all the apps stored on my PC, without it affecting the apps store on my iPhone. Essentially I'd like to free up some hard drive space by deleting them ALL from my PC, but keep my iPhone as it is. I'd obviously like it to sync my iPhone, but ignore all apps.
What would happen if I just delete them all from iTunes on my PC?

You cannot delete IOS, without IOS (iPhone operating system) your iPhone cannot function.
Try this basic troubleshooting steps:

I have an App that I would like to keep in my iTunes library, but only Sync to my iPad -- not my iPhone. Right now, the App has been 'deselected' from my iPhone, but the associated file size did not decrease. My iPhone still has 1GB more than I would like. How can I remove the App and it's file from my iPhone, but preserve it on my iPad? Thanks!

Is it still on your iphone?
Apps are generally not that large. I doubt you would notice much difference in memory used.
Look on the iphone to see if the app is there.

Why does a page work when i open it but not stream it?

I have a web server, it downloads the following code off my hard drive and it works, but if i stream it in off a server i have written, it does not, yet the source codes look exactly the same. Help? (open and close tags have been put all as open and between " signs.
