Append to XML remains greyed out

Hi folks,
I am using MII 15.0 SP2 Patch 8. I created a new transaction having a xML transcation variable called "test" defined as you cans ee in below screenshot. It is a plain XML having a root node called options.
Thereafter I created a new transaction adn placed an assignment block there. I treid to use append XML link type to extend my transaction variable. Unfortunately, when trying to append some new xml to test{/OPTIONS}, append XML functions remain greyed out...see screenshot below
Any idea why that happens? Thanks for your help!

Hi Anuji, thanks for your answer, u r right. But what if I do not want to choose some value from menue? My plan was to define a new XML segment as string in Expression Editor and append it to my XML. Does that mean this is not possible?
I somehow need to build a multiline XML looking like this:

<text>content...</text>

<text>content...</text>

<text>content...</text>

Content should define a multiline "where clause". Eventually, I want to map resulting XML to options input section of RFC_READ_TABLE to query data from ERP using JCO connector.
What's a suitable approach to get there?
Greetings, Marco

• How can I get my wifi to turn on. It remains greyed out

How do I get my wifi to turn on? It remains greyed out. I have tried Network reset. Can anybody help please?

Hello POLLYMER,
Thanks for the question. I understand that your Wi-Fi option on an iPhone 4S is greyed out. The following article explains this issue and potential resolution:
iOS: Wi-Fi settings grayed out or dim
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1559
Follow these steps to resolve the issue:
1. Verify that airplane mode is off by tapping Settings > Airplane Mode.
2. Reset the network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
Note: This will reset all network settings, including Bluetooth pairing records, Wi-Fi passwords, VPN, and APN settings
3. Ensure that your device is using the latest software. To do so, connect your device to your computer and check for updates in iTunes.
4. If your issue is still unresolved, perform a software restore in iTunes.
If you are still unable to turn Wi-Fi on, please contact Apple for support and service options.
Thanks,
Matt M.

• "Capture Exporter XML" is greyed out

Hi all,
I am trying to migrate an Access app to APEX, using the documentation that I see in the SQL Developer help page. I am going through the steps, and so far no problems.
I am able to run the Microsoft Access Exporter, that creates the XML file, and the next step says to click on Migration, Capture Exporter XML. But when I click on Migration, the bottom 3 options are all greyed out:
- Migrate Data
- Capture Exporter XML
- Script Generation
Has anyone else seen this? Did I miss a step, to be able to click on this option?
Thanks!

OK, it looks like maybe this is helping to point out the problem - when I run sqldeveloper this way, and then I try to do the "Convert to Oracle Model", I am seeing the following errors in the command window:
Exception while performing action Convert to Oracle Model
oracle.classloader.util.AnnotatedNoClassDefFoundError:
Missing class: oracle.dbtools.migration.translation.api.ITranslationManager
Dependent class: oracle.dbtools.migration.convert.ConverterWorker
Loader: main:11.0
Code-Source: \C:\Oracle\SQL Developer\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\extensions\oracle.dbtools.migration.jar
Configuration: system property C:\Oracle\SQL Developer\sqldeveloper\sqldeveloper\extensions\oracle.dbtools.migration.jar
The missing class is not available from any code-source or loader in the system
Does this help?? There is quite a bit more below that, but I can't copy and paste from a command window. Let me know if you need to see more.

• Append to DNS Suffix greyed out

I recently installed windows 8.1. For my work i need to connect to multiple domain, i tried to add all my work domains to DNS Suffix but its greyed out.
Based on prior threads on this forum, I have updated following Group Policy (Computer -> Administrative Templates -> Network -> DNS Client
Allow DNS Suffix appending to unqualified multi-label name queries -> Enabled
Primary DNS suffix -> Enabled (with list of my domains)
DNS suffix search list -> Enabled (with list of my domains)
Primary DNS suffix devolution -> Enabled
DNS Suffix option is still greyed out. Not sure what to do, could someone help please.
Thanks in advance for your support

Hi Gigi,
Since you have forced the DNS suffix list in GP, then the DNS suffix option should be greyed out, it's a normal phenomenon because you have forced everything by GP, right?
If you still want to add some list to the suffix search list, you should add it by GP.
If you want to set the option directly, you can disable the policy you have enabled.
If I misunderstood something, please free correct me, a screenshot would be very helpful.

• Can't copy music to 5S properly - 95% remaining greyed out

Hi,
I've just got an iPhone 5s and I don't seem to be able to copy music across to it - well I can, but only an arbitrary selection, and strangely appears to be the same songs it allows rather than entirely random.
I can physically drag and drop the songs from iTunes on to my phone, and the entire correct selection appears under the iPhone tab in iTunes, but the vast majority (maybe some 95%) stay greyed out, like they're still waiting to be synced/copy.
I've made sure I have the latest versions of iTunes and iOS (11.1.5 and 7.1 respectively), have ticked manually manage music and have turned the phone off/on again, as well as rebooting my computer, but with no effect.
I'm really at a loss as to why it's doing this, as I never had this problem with my previous phone (the 4s) - the closest similar error was when it would occasionally fail to copy the songs like this, but reconnecting the phone to iTunes normally resumed the copying process. This trick seems to have no effect here.
As far as I can tell, my phone is working entirely normally in every other regard. A quick scan of the community showed issues with music copying but not quite like this so was wondering if anyone else had experienced this issue and if they managed to fix it?
Any suggestions would be gratefully received as listening to music on my phone is one of the main things I use it for.
Many thanks,
Elliot

In itunes on your computer what happens when you try and play the song that appears grayed out on the phone?

• HT5957 Hi, received ios 7.0.2 update but cant install it as install button remains greyed out.

Hi, received ios 7.0.2 but cant install it as button is greyed out and doesn't respond?

Is your iPad connected to power ? I think that if you are running on battery and the charge level is below a particular level (maybe 50%, I'm not sure) then it may prevent you installing the update as a precaution so that it doesn't potentially go empty during the install.

• Why can I not submit a question to the feedback page? I selected the sad face and entered my details but the submit betton remained greyed out.

In the previous version of Firefox when I quit I was always asked if I want to save tabs and if I said yes my tabs were saved for next time. The new version works the other way asking if I want to restore y last session, which is fine except: I received an update request from SKYPE while Firefox was closed. There was a link to find out more about the new version which automatically opened Firefox with just one tab; the info on the update. None of my previous tabs were available. Some of them have been open for months and there were at least 10 or 15 open tabs. When I closed Firefox of course Firefox saved the latest tab and asked me if I wanted to restore previous session. Of course I want to restore my previous session but not the single tab with the SKYPE update info. Is there any way to go back to my previous, previous session? I can't even remember what the tabs were, at least not all of them so what is one to do now?

When an external application opens Firefox with a single tab, don't close Firefox before hitting '''Restore Previous Session''' in the History menu.

• How to grey out column in NewForm.aspx

Good morning,
I have created a custom list. In this list, I have a Drop-Down Column with various options and also a Text Column.
What I am hoping to achieve is that if, for example, if Choice 3 is selected from the drop-down column, then the Text Column becomes "available". Otherwise this column remains greyed out.
I am no master at coding so hopefully a solution that is not too complex.
Thanks!

If you're building out the form in InfoPath, you can also do this with some simple rules.
Load the form in InfoPath, and select the textbox control
Select 'Manage Rules' from the Home ribbon
Create a formatting rule for the text box as follows
Conditions = If dropdown column=blank, OR dropdown column=option 1, OR dropdown column=option 2 (see below screenshot)
Select the 'Disable this control' checkbox
I also recommend changing the color of the textbox so that it is greyed out, otherwise people could be confused as to why they can't edit the text field. You can do this in the same rule, with the paint bucket icon
(Where 'session' is your dropdown column and "Option 1" and "Option 2" is the text for your first two options.)
If you want to provide even more user guidance, you could add some text underneath the textbox which is only displayed when the textbox is disabled, saying something like "This textbox is only available when option 3 is selected". To do this, add the text
to the form and then add a formatting rule to the displayed text:
Conditions = If dropdown column=option 3
Select 'Hide this control'
Hope that helps!

• When I open a second Firefox browser window, the URL address window, instead of showing the URL, says "Go to a Web Site;" also, and more importantly, the "back" button is greyed out. This is a new problem, and the first Firefox window I open works fine.

After I open the first Firefox browser window, any additional window I open does not open my homepage, but opens a blank page with "New Tab" showing on the tab. An orange "Firefox" tab with a drop down arrow shows at the upper left hand corner of the screen. All of the options (File, Edit, etc.) are greyed out, however they will work if you move your cursor over them.
The URL address window says "Go to a Web Site". After I've gone to a website, the back button remains greyed out and I am not able to go back to a previous page. My RoboForm and Netcraft toolbars only show up in an abbreviate form. The add-on bar doesn't show up at all.
Again, this is a recent problem, and only happens after I've opened one browser window (which works fine) and then open additional browser windows (as few as one additional).

I had this same problem. Seems to be caused by the web developer tool bar FF extension (this started happening after a recent update to that extension). After disabling it, my FF is back to normal :)

• Grey bar at startup - Mac HD is greyed out in Disk Utility - Can't be repaired? Need to salvage my data!

Mac Book Pro -
My MacBook Pro (2008 Model) has been unable to start up - upon the start up screen when the grey Apple logo appears, I get a loading bar below it.
After about 15-20 minutes when the bar is almost complete the machine shuts off. There seems to be no way around it.
So I booted up my laptop in recovery mode, and opened Disk Utility to check my if there was something wrong with my drives -
my Macintosh HD (under the TOSHIBA drive) is greyed out. When I hit verify/repair it returns error messages and it remains greyed out.
I tried multiple times and a few times it stopped being greyed out on the sidebar, but even then it wouldn't let me verify or repair.
Not backing up my data recently is my obvious fault here, but I just wanted to know if there is ANY way to salvage my data.
Things I've tried:
1) Recovery Mode
-Veryify/Disk Repair doesn't work
-Time Machine can't seem to access my HD either (greyed out)
2) TargetDisk mode
-I connected my MacBook Pro via firewire to my Mac Pro in TargetDisk mode and no Hardrive shows up on my finder.
Any advice appreciated, going to try and take it to a tech shop on Monday.
Thank you!

I would take out the HDD and install it in an enclosure and then connect that to the Mac Pro and see if there is any success.
If not, then look for data recovery software on the Internet. Most will have a 'trial' version that will indicate if the software will be successful or not, so you do not have to commit funds without knowing if it will work or not.
The last option is a professional recovery service. There will be no guarantees of success and the costs will be very high.
Ciao.

• Macbook Air won't allow me to erase. Format and Name are greyed out.

I'm looking to sell my original Macbook Air and after going through each step from the OS X Erase and Install tool from Apple Support, everything still remains greyed out, not allowing me to erase. I've tried restarting with command, R, and I've also tried shutting down and starting up holding the down the option key. Neither allows me to erase. Any suggestions?

Shut down the computer.
Restart the computer and try again.
