Apple 10.6.8 last few days port 993 timeout

good day, last few days I can't connect to my mac email account it tells me theres a timeout on port 993 or my password is not recognized which is - I haven't made any changes on my email account it just stopped working - any ideas?

Thank you sir, I found that page myself did all that it's not my settings since I didn't change anything on my settings on my imac or my mac book pro - it just stopped working and it seems to be a apple server problem i have deinstalled reinstalled and what not its still not working -

Now, when you check the status of Airport hardware it says "Not Associated". One more thing that came to my notice is that 'com.apple.internetconfigpriv.plist' this file is missing from system folder. Any help would be appreciated.

I have tried using different OS 10.7, 10.8... further OS doesn't suit my MacBook, so currently I am on 10.6. I did reinstallation twice using 10.6 but the files were not restored.
Yes.. I am talking about internet wireless card.
I don't have back up files for files which i deleted and they are not in trash as well.... the reason I deleted files was from the image attached from OSXdaily.com

You posted in the "Using Mac App Store" forum but your profile indicates you are using an iPad so that's what I'll try helping you with.
On the iPad tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Then restart the iPad. Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

So in the last few days I’ve noticed that pressing my volume change keys actually isn’t changing the volume on my macbook pro at all. When I press the volume up or down keys, it makes the recognisable pop sound but stays at the same volume while the squares go up or down. I mute it but my computer still makes sound. It’s the same with the volume control up the top of the screen, too. I slide it up and down and it doesn’t change the volume at all. The only way I can change the volume is with my speakers or the program I’m in (iTunes, VLC etc). I restarted and it seems to be okay then I go to change it a couple minutes later and it’s back to not working again.
I’ve checked my settings- the “use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard fuction keys” is not switched on, and I have tried a suggestion of moving the com.apple.systempreferences.plist file out of the library and onto the desktop and restarting and neither of those seem to make any difference whatsoever. I’ve tried to find online forums but the only suggestions I found were those two and they didn’t work.
I’m just annoyed because I usually have the worst luck with technology but my macbook had been going strong and I got it because of the apparent lack of things that could go wrong, but of course even if there is one thing that could go wrong it will happen to me.
Please help!

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem

Whether you are running Mac OS X 10.6.2 or 10.6.3 your system software is completely outdated.
Click your Apple menu icon top left in your screen. From the drop down menu click Software Update.
Your Mac OS X needs to be at v10.6.8 / Safari should be 5.1.7
And make sure there's enough free space on the startup disk to install software updates.
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon on your Desktop.
Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.
