Apple Account has messed me up!
How do I empty my Trash? I copied & pasted "Backups.backupdb” from my “Time Machine” (2T HD) to my new 2T HD I have named “Barbara Book”. That appears to have been successful. I dragged to my Trash the first few unsuccessful attempts to copy that same file. Now when I attempt to empty the Trash I get the following message: The operation can’t be completed because an unexpected error occurred (error code -8003).
I have clicked on each item in the Trash, went to File à Get Info à unlocked the files/folders à made changes in Sharing & Permissions to let every Name have Read & Write Privileges. Still not able to empty Trash. I think it’s the "Backups.backupdb” that is causing the problem. How do I fix it? NOTE: The Trash basket is only full when “Barbara Book” is connected. When I disconnect that particular HD, the Trash is empty.

Owning 2 iphones with one Apple account has = Sync Problems. iTunes is thinking my old iphone 4 is the same phone as my iphone 5C. When I plugged in my iphone 5C it auto synced my 5C to iTunes and it wiped my 5C and restored it to the same content as is on my iPhone 4. This is a big problem since my 5 year old has been using the iPhone 4. It's all Mickey Mouse and Backyardigans. (Total photo/app/contacts loss)
I was able to update the 5C and restore from a 3 month old backup that is actually the content from the 5C but now when I plug in my 5C it wants to "setup as new phone" or "restore from backup" What's going on? I'm afraid to choose either option.
How can I get iTunes to see these devices as 2 and not one?
Can I use my Apple ID on both phones still or is this the problem?They were both displaying the same name in iTunes. I changed the name of the iPhone 4 before the 5C was plugged in but it still went ahead with syncing it to the 4's data.

[email protected]The list you saw that shows what drivers are available from Apple Software Update is based on what drivers are supplied by the vendor to Apple. So it would appear that HP has not provided Apple with a scanner driver for 10.9 (known as an ICA driver), or provided an update if one was available for a previous version of OS X, so that you can scan from Image Capture.
I checked the HP web site for your model and they don't show any scanner driver or scanning software. If there was a scanner driver, you would be able to use Vuescan.
As for the Scan button not working, the following is documented by HP
Scanning to the computer from the printer control panel is not available when you scan with Preview, Image Capture, or Printer browser methods. You must use HP Scan software to scan from the printer.
But there does not appear to be any version of HP Scan software available for 10.9. So unless someone else has some workaround, it seems that you won't be able to scan with this model of HP. -
forgot answers for security questions, my apple account has updated email address but the rescue email address for account is old and not accessible - do not know how to update that address so i can authorize new devices...

Start here (change country if necessary) and navigate to 'Password and Security', reset your security questions using the link provided, you will receive an email to your rescue address, use the link in the email and reset your security questions.
If that doesn't help, you don't receive a reset email or you don't have a rescue address, you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple throughiTunes Store Support. -

Not to long ago i had created a apple account on the Web, Now that i have an ipad am trying to download an app but when i log into my apply iD it says "Apple id has not yet been used in the itunes store."
So Then when i click Review.
They want me to put a credit card # and stuff but i don't wanna put them is there any hope ?If you ever intend to purchase anything in iTunes, say a song, a magazine, a book, etc., you need to put a credit card on file. It's safe and secure and millions of us buy things via iTunes daily.
If you only intend to download free apps and will never buy anything, there is a way to create a credit card free account. But, I'd put the credit card on file so you're not limited in what you can with iPad.

Trying to purchase a book. Get a pop up screen that says "your Apple ID has been disabled". How can I fix that
You might be able to re-enable it via this page : http://appleid.apple.com, then 'reset your password'
You might then need to log out of your account on your iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in so as to 'refresh' the account on it.
If that doesn't fix it then you might need to contact iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page -

They should be able to look into it.

I log into ITunes with a User ID and Password that worls. When I try to purchase a song or an App I get a message that my Apple ID has been disbaled. When I follow the steps for resetting the ID I get the same message.

Did you get an email confirming this if so be careful- Apple don't send out emails saying that account's will be 'frozen'. It's a phishing attempt to get your details. it will be spam. Do not divulge any personal or financial information. I had the exact same email .I clicked on the link but when I saw it I didn't put any info in, instead I logged on to my apple account on my computer and it looked fine.
