Apple and AT&T leave me with no option...
Ok, so I am in the military, and I recently got orders to the UK, and I have asked Apple and AT&T if I could get an unlock code for me and wife's 3GS. I even offered to fax in a copy of my orders and still AT&T will not help. Apple says AT&T is the only one who can issue an unlock code, and I really don't want to have to purchase two new iPhones in England, seeing as how I am not canceling my AT&T contract. I doesnt seem right to me. Does anyone know how I can get them to help me out? I am not trying to do anything Apple doesnt condone, but Apple and AT&T are leaving me with no option...
Any help would be appreciated.

Beyond that, the word of the day is "escalate". Escalate your issue until someone can tell you why not. "Can't" has many different dementions. Chances are it's some DA FCC law, but I would push till someone answers you. You're their customer, and you feed their kids, the least they can do is give you a straight answer.
If it ends up being an FCC rule, then ask whatever level of manager you make it to: to suggest to the company to begin a project to get a program started to help our beloved servicemen/women in exactly your situation. Managers have avenues to make those suggestions for this exact reason. At&t is a very military friendly organization, and I would love to think that someone there would love nothing more than to help you out.
Then write your congressman (or this month's applicable Czar) about the jacked up FCC rule that has you, as a serviceman, nailed to a wall.

I have a PowerBook 145B but something is wrong with the systemfolder so it wont boot. I've downloaded System 7.0.1 from Apple and put it on Floppys with my Macintosh Classic. The PowerBook boots from the floppy but after a minute it just comes up a window thats completely white.
I've tried a lot of things, but my Macintosh classic (with original floppys) runs 7.0.0. And the PowerBook needs atleast 7.0.1 and did run 7.1.0 as original OS.
How do I fix this?Because your PowerBook 145B shipped with OS 7.1, it can't run an earlier version of the Mac OS, such as 7.0.1. Unfortunately, Apple never made OS 7.1 available for download. You can run OS 7.5.1, 7.5.3, and 7.5.5 on your PowerBook, but I'd recommend doing so with the maximum amount of supported memory - 8 MBs. The 19-part download of OS 7.5.3 is segmented, so that each one will fit on a 1.44 MB floppy disk. The problem is that the 19-diskette set isn't an installer set as such, having no bootable disk. It's solely intended to be used to transfer the individual segments to the resident hard drive in the computer. Once that's done, double-clicking the first .smi segment creates the OS 7.5.3 installer disk image on the desktop, which you drag onto the hard drive icon. This produces a folder with the OS 7.5.3 installer in it. I've done this before with an old Mac LC and it works. You can also download the 3-diskette OS 7.5.5 Update and run that. These downloads can be found on the same page where you found the OS 7.0.1 download: Older Software Downloads.

There's no exact analogue to the "whites" slider in Aperture. But you could do it with curves if you wanted. You can set the white point using the curves tool as well.

How to Save an image and retreve the same image with edit option!! ???
I am facing with a problem
I have a image which is preloaded, user accessing the image should be provided with a option of adding a text on some part of image etc and save it. Later when that imagine is tried and retrived it should display the edited and saved image and allow user to edit again.The text will be written in a square box which can be dragged anywhere on the image. Is java script and ajax best for this.?
Can anyone help in showing the basic things i need to follow to achieve this.

This problem started to occur from day 1 but since then i rarely use itunes.But now i want to upgrade to ios 7 when its available via itunes.
In technical support, sometimes you have to make educated guesses. I'm sorry that you were offended.
iTunes does prompt when it is going to erase a device, and the message is clear.
She said in her message that she was able to successfully sync the old ipad. This indicated to me that itunes wiping the data was not an issue, because either it had been setup at the apple store (in which case it doesn't actually wipe the ipad despite saying it will*) (*based on a single case I saw), or because the itunes media folder was migrated.
Furthermore, my solution was to tell her how to backup her ipad (by either doing it manually, or as a last resort, by deleting the corrupt backup -- that she couldn't access anyway.)
I got that last part of the instructions from the "Taking Control of your iphone" book which I found samples of when I did a google search for "corrupted backup itunes".
She marked this as a solution, so it worked for her. -
I recently updated my firefox and when I opened it, all of my bookmarks that I've made over the past several updates are gone. My current page shows bookmarks that I have deleted a long time ago or are no longer working. Even bookmarks that I have saved in folders are gone. My stumbleupon is also missing and will not update. As a teacher, many of my bookmarks were important and I would really appreciate some help.
I have tried opening my previous bookmarks and restoring them, but even the "recently bookmarked" section shows bookmarks that I made years ago instead of the ones that I made today.

You can't validate on select-options, MARC will have N to 1 relation between Material and plant.
You can do one thing, keep material as select-option and plant as parameter, now you can validate the materials on plant level.

i have a virtual machine running Windows Server 2012 R2 Data Center Edition, using Hyper-V technology, as a lab machine to test and practice core features.
I tried to test the ability of switching to Core (and even the Minimal Server Interface after stuck and revert!)
using Powershell commands as bellow:
Import-Module ServerManager
Uninstall-WindowsFeature Server-Gui-Shell -Restart
and it goes well until windows configured removal features and reboots. but
after that the VM will stuck in a black screen.
Tried to reach RUN TASK window to bring up CMD.EXE or any thing but even the ALT+CTRL+DEL (ALT+CTRL+END in VM) is not working and technically i cant do anything. considering CPU USAGE in hyper-V Manager is changing for the VM, i let the VM
work but after 2 hours i just got enough!
any idea why is this happening?

Leopard won't go past the grey apple and the paddle wheel.

This Imac only goes to the grey screen with the apple logo and the spinning paddle wheel and no further. What can I do?
Last night the screen froze over and I couldn’t force quit, so I switched off. Was only running safari, after installing some graphics upgrade from Apple.
Today I’ve tried switching on with :=
1. D. Hardware diagnostics. No problems found.
2. Shift - Start in Safe mode. No effect. Grey apple and paddle wheel.
3. Command + S. Provides a text screen which end with
CSRHIDTransitionDriver: start booting in single user … will wait for window Server
and nothing happens however long it's left
3a. Command + V. Verbose mode? as above but, after the reference to firewire Lucent the CSRHIDTransitionDriver has 4 lines:
CSRHIDTransitionDriver::start [-v]
CSRHIDTransitionDriver::switchToHCIMode legacy
USBF 2.517 CSRHIDTransitionDriver etc etc
CSRHIDTransitionDriver ... done
4. C to start from CD. Repaired disk and disk permissions.

6. Shift. Safe boot again. No effect again. Grey apple and paddle wheel.
7. Command Option O F to open firmware. Well, it didn’t work. Nothing happened and I did not reset nvram.
8. Tried to restart from 10.4 cd but this didn’t help.
9. Command + S. Again. Provides a text screen which end with CSRHIDTransitionDriver: start booting in single user … will wait for window Server
Any suggestion how to cure this will be greatly appreciated.
Or, how to set about reinstalling Leopard while preserving as much data as poss.Are you calling Single User Mode what I understand to be Single User Mode?
What happens if you restart the machine holding the command (Apple logo, cloverleaf) key together with the S key? Do you get a command line? If you do, you should be able to use

If you don't get a command line, are you using an Apple wired keyboard to hit the shortcut? Non-Apple keyboards and wireless keyboards may not be able to activate the keyboard sequence.
If you are getting the command line without results, the spacing fo the command is critical. I will show you with the underscore as in: _ where to put the space:

Apple and iPod Score another Big C
As much as I hate to say it.... I am going to be buying my very first iPod..... I hate saying it, but yesterdays announcement of iPod partnering with Nike to give you an MP3 player that has a plug in accessory that calculates Running Pace and gives you the ability to program in interval workouts was the straw that broke the camels back. I really love my Creative Zen Sleek, and I love the fact that I can download unlimited music from Yahoo!Unlimited service.... The killer of the entire deal is accessories, or lack there of from creative players. Apple and iPod hit the mark with this one and thier Nano.... It gives you verbal feedback of how far you've run, avg pace, and has the ability to change to an uptempo song if you've prerecorded an interval workout.
Sorry creative, you missed the mark. Prehaps you should watch and learn from the TV Show Apprentice, because if this were a task between two teams, you would have just been crushed, and ended up in the board room where someone would be fired.
The electronics industry by nature is a very low profit margin biz. You can't expect that just selling the players is where the bucks lie. You have to figure out a way to sell the player, and then cash in on all of the little accessories once those people have purchased thier product. That's where the cash is, and Apple has capitolized on this market.
I love your product, it is a thing of beauty and sounds great..... It's just not 00% there.

TheBobkeYeah sure im going to go buy a 200$ pair of shoes and a 50$ nano adapter, a 200$ nano and convert all my music to .acc format (and me stuck with ipods for the rest of my life) just to know how little callories im actually burning while running around my house.
2 weeks later ipod nano screen is so scratched you cant see the screen.
It's obviously a very cool addition to the franchise, but really unless you are a fitness freak this is even farther from being an intelligent purchase. If you have money, a Mac and are a fitness freak then it is a good product! Scratches, cracking aside. No offense but i doubt you are. It's agreed creative lacks in some fun accesories, but their asian what can you expect?
What firmware problem can you have, three weeks after the Vision:M comes out a significant update is released that fixed all the problems. The device works perfectly for me, and my brothers Ipod video doesnt. -
When I try to hide something from my App Store purchased list i found out form this to swipe left or right and it should provide me with the option to hide the item but it doesn't and it's annoying me seriously. I deleted the application for a **** good reason someone please help me or tell me what to do
It doesn't appear to work on iOS 6 (and neither does unhiding, though you can still view and download them) - whether that is permanent or only temporary I don't know. You should still be able to hide things via your computer's iTunes.

Which table holds information about roles and privileges assigned to users with grant option? For e.g. DBA_ROLE_PRIVS and DBA_SYS_PRIVS gives information about WITH ADMIN option. Similarly I am looking for tables that would give me information about with grant option.
