every time i install itunes on my pc windows xp i get message apple application support not found have tried uninstalling and reinstalling at least  5 times not sure what to try next

have you tried to restart the computer?

    Let's try a standalone Apple Application Support install. It still might not install, but fingers crossed any error messages will give us a better idea of the underlying cause of the issue.
    Download and save a copy of the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64setup.exe) installer file to your hard drive:

    Download and install the free trial version of WinRAR:
    http://www.rarlab.com/
    Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup" (or "Extract to iTunes64Setup"). WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup" (or "iTunes64Setup").
    Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
    Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?
    If instead you get an error message during the install, let us know what it says. (Precise text, please.)

    You can try installing 7-Zip (free), then right-click on the iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe file to unpack its contents, and install AppleApplicationSupport.msi as a standalone component. It may still not install successfully, but if it doesn't you may get a more useful error message regarding the reason why.

    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
    The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if a component such as Apple Application Support won't install normally.

    i've bought an iphone and it said i needed to update itunes to 10.5 or higher so i tried to update. it didn't workso i uninstalled and reinstalled different versions of itunes between 10.5 and 10.6 but it either wouldn't install properly or it would then i would come up with this warning.   • Got as far as local disk (C)/program files/common files/apple/ and coud not find apple application support

    I get as far as apple/  and then it automatically come up mobile device support, the file sqlite3.dll does not show

    Taken at face value, you're having trouble with an Apple Application Support program file there. (Apple Application Support is where single copies of program files used by multiple different Apple programs are kept.)
    Let's try something relatively simple first. Restart the PC. If you're using Vista or 7,now head into your Uninstall a program control panel, select "Apple Application Support" and then click "Repair". If you're using XP,head into your Add or Remove Programs control panel, select "Apple Application Support", click "Change" and then click "Repair".
    If no joy after that, try the more rigorous uninstall/reinstall procedure from the following post. (If you've got XP, although the procedure is for Vista and 7, just read "Computer" as "My Computer", read "Uninstall a program control panel" as "Add or Remove programs control panel" and assume the system is 32-bit, and you'll be doing the right things.)

    Plug-ins are installed either in the
    System Library Application Support folder
    /Library/Application Support/Aperture/Plug-Ins/
    or in your User Library Application Support folder.
    ~/Library/Application Support/Aperture/Plug-Ins/
    To open these folders, select the path /Library/Application Support/Aperture/Plug-Ins/ or ~/Library/Application Support/Aperture/Plug-Ins/ and copy it into the Finder menu's "Go > Go to folder" field.
    In the Finder window, that will open, look into the "Edit" and "Export" folders, if they are there and remove the the plug-in.

    I migrated all files from OS 10.7 to OS 10.8 through time machine. However, I always see error packages like the following if I want to run some .pkg files.
    You can't open the application "..." because it is not supported on this type of Mac.
    But when I switch to a different account, then the .pkg files can be run. Therefore, I think that there might be something wrong with my account configuration files. But I don't know which one. Does anybody which one might cause the problem and how to fix it? Thanks!
