Apple Application Support was not found on new itunes update.

I have unstalled and installed the newest itunes update about 10 times now. I still get (in itunes and itunes helper) "Apple Application Support was not found. Apple Application Suport is required to run itunes". Please uninstall itunes, then install itunes again. Error 2 (Windows error 2)".
Can someone please help ! ! !

The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.
The section Install missing components has advice on breaking down the iTunes installer into the individual .msi files which might prove useful if AAS won't install normally.

That's an extreme case of this.
We'll try doing standalone installations of all the supporting programs.

i keep getting the following message, despite the fact that i have uninstalled Itunes and then installed it again a few times.
"Apple Application Support was not found. Please uninstall, and install again. Error 2 (Windows Error 2).
Can anyone suggest any help?

After i upload it, it says "Apple Application Support was not found"

So the iTunes with all my songs, is on my old computer and to share it throughout the house to my new computer i need to download iTunes 9, which I did, and it said it was successful. But then when i tried to open iTunes, it says "Apple Application Support was not found. Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes, please uninstall iTunes then install iTunes again" Well this is the third time I've tried, I downloaded the older version and it said my library had been created on a newer version. I have no idea what to do. Oh and I can't get my disk drive to work so I can't do a disk back-up.

I would recommend uninstalling iTunes, all of it's components and reinstall. Below, I have included an article that covers this process. Make sure to uninstall all programs in the order specified.

Like beaniespike and yourselves...I've tried everything to install itunes on my PC Vista Home Premium 32 bit system. Had older version of itunes running well on it but then just bought Ipod and hooked it up and was told to upgrade by uninstalling old version and reinstalling new version..oops..then the nightmares

Disconnected all firewalls and antivirus and even uninstalled them with Revo..
with that effort..I then used winrar to extract to a file and manually install each piece..
all load EXCEPT Apple Application Support..but only if I do it manually..
Quicktime had to be manually installed.
Changed RegSZ to 0xFFFFFF value..still same error An error occurred during the installation of assembly policy 8.0 microsoft VC80. CRT, type =..blah, blah blah..ending HRESULT.... in middle of install..then at end error Apple Application Support not found error 2.
Whew..sooOO frustrated! Have Visual C++ 2005..am having trouble installing upgrades to it..

So when I plugged in my iPhone 4 (iOS 7.0.4), iTunes told me it needed to update to the newest version... so I did. After installing it it gave me an error (-45019) that said that a required component wasn't installed. Unable to Reinstall iTunes - error message: "Apple Application Support was not found"

When attempting to update my iPhone today, my iTunes would not open. I followed the instructions to completely uninstall iTunes, Apple Software Update, Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour, and Apple Applications Support. I then attempted to reinstall iTunes, and everything went perfectly until I attempted to open iTunes. When attempting this, I am receiving the message "Apple Application Support was not found. Install 7-Zip (free), or a free trial of WinRAR, and use one of them to extract the contents of the iTunesSetup.exe or iTunesSetup64.exe installer file, then try installing AppleApplicationSupport.msi as a standalone component. Even if it won't install you may get a more useful error message as to why not.

I have downloaded, uninstalled and redowloaded Itunes about 50 times and I continue to get the error that my apple application support was not found and that I should uninstall and reinstall Itunes. I can not get to my music and this is starting to really make me mad. Can anyone (other than some bogus virus filled program) give me a hint as to how I can fix this so I can play my music?

You have missing information in your Windows programming.
You need to repair your computer so it can run iTunes. If you plug those error codes into your browser you may get an answer.
