Apple application supportcannot be removed

When installing the latest 10.5 version of i-tunes I get the following for messages durring installation.
1) "The older version of Apple Application Support cannot be removed"
2) "The older version of Bonjour cannot be removed"
3) "The older version of Apple Mobile Device Support cannot be removed"
4) The older version of Apple Software Update cannot be removed"
The installer program then aborts installation.

All problems solved! Go to Microsoft and down load a free program call "Fix it" I will examine the registry and then give you the option to remove the troublesome files. The program worked for me but it is slow and you have to re-run it for each file to be removed. But hey-ho it worked!

I accidentally removed my apple applications support program from my computer how do i get it back on?

I had very little memory on my C drive and had to remove some programs to free some up but by accident i removed Apple applications support. How do i put it back on or do i have to remove and re-install the whole itunes program to get it to work again?

Download and save a fresh copy of the iTunesSetup.exe installer to your hard drive.

Right-click the iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe), and select "Extract to iTunesSetup". WinRAR will expand the contents of the file into a folder called "iTunesSetup".
Go into the folder and doubleclick the AppleApplicationSupport.msi to do a standalone AAS install.
Does it install properly for you? If so, does iTunes launch properly now?

Tried to reinstall itunes and got apple application support not found. i have a folder on my desktop of apps removed during a refresh and all my apple stuff is in that folder.

Im running windows 8 on my desktop. i tried to reinstall itunes and when i open it i get the following message " Apple Application Support not found, Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes". I have a folder on my desktop that has files in it that says Apps removed during refresh and there is Apple files in there. Im guessing this could be a windows issue but Im not to good with computers. Any help would be great.

then Itunes ends the installation due to errors.

I removed my apple application support software...How do I reinstall it??

I was having trouble updating my iTunes and I followed someone's advice to uninstall all apple software including Apple Application Support and now I can't use any iTunes, Quicktime without having this support installed.

Apple application support cannot be removed

I have been trying to remove all components of iTunes and reinstall new versions. I can't install the new version until all old comonents are gone. I get an error stating "an older version of Apple Application Support cannot be removed".

Hi, I'm having trouble with my itunes and i don't know how to uninstall the old version of itune or uninstall the apple application support file that is in my control panel if anybody can help it will be greatly apprciated....

Did you get your issue resolved? I think I'm having the same problem. I can't uninstall itunes and I can't reinstall itunes without a box popping up stating
" The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. Click ok to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'iTunes.msi' in the box below"
And when I search for that file on my computer, it finds 2 different paths and NEITHER of them contain the .msi file. I'm ready to pay apple support just so I can scream at someone. This is so frustrating!!!!

Hi, I still have problems reinstalling Final Cut Pro even though I followed these steps.
Reason why I have to reinstall is because I have repaired my Macbook Pro hard drive at a Mac Authorized Repair.
Short history of repair and my Final Cut Pro installation:
1. Macbook Pro stopped working, sendt it for repair. Had the Final Cut Pro installed,
2. Desided to try a MiniMac and recovered my backup with Time Machine, got the Final Cut Pro working.
3. Got my Macbook Pro back from repair, did backup on this one as well. But this time only the files not the Applications.
4. Removed the files as mentioned in HT5149. Didn´t find "com.apple.motionapp.plist" to remove though, but the others I found.
5. When I try to install Final Cut Pro from App Store, it downloads the application as planned. But after download it won´t show in the Application folder nor in the downloads folder, nor will it start an installation prosess. If I pause the installation in App Store, I can see the Final Cut Pro icon in my Dock. (But, as mentioned, after installation it won´t show neither here or in the Applications folder).
Any suggestions on what I should try now?

Sounds like there is a file you're not getting. Never do a removal manually. It's so time consuming and a pain. There's a very easy and fast way to do this, safely, properly.
Get the free "Final Cut Remover" app from Digital Rebellion (dot com), use this to remove FCP X.
Reboot the Mac.
Download from scratch.
If you're not seeing FCP X in your app folder, run Disk Utility to Repair all drives.
If that doesn't help, try running Disk Warrior from Altsoft to repair the directories on all drives.

Apple Application Support was not found help!!!!!

A few days ago i got on iTunes but this error message came up saying
Apple Application Support was not found.
Apple Application Support is required to run iTunes. Please uninstall
iTunes, then install iTunes again.

I have looked at many discussions and forum posts and most of them say to extract the itunes setup with winrar
but i cannot see where it says to extract all i see is add to and compress.
Please help me!!! I run windows 7 on an Acer laptop if this means anything. It would be highly appreciated thank you!
