Apple baffles me and my pictures, how to needed

Photos are on my computer at home. I used iTunes to load or sync them to my iPad.
Now I have another computer in a different location and need to transfer those photos to this computer and would like to keep all three in sync.
Is that possible.  My second computer is a new air with lion and the iPhoto doesn't even see the photos on my iPad, just the camera roll.

The iPad is only really designed to be used with one computer at a time. And in terms of photos only the most recent photo sync remains on the iPad, not including them in a subsequent is how you delete them from the iPad. They also won't show in iPhoto - only photos not synced from a computer show i.e those taken with the iPad, copied to it via the camera connection kit, or saved from emails/websites etc.
You can copy photos off the iPad that were originally synced from a computer, but you will need a third-party app such as Simple Transfer (which has a free lite version called Simple Photo & Video Transfer) which can copy them off via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer. So you copy them off and onto your other computer, but they might not then be the same resolution on that computer as on the first computer, and you can then sync them back. But you may want to consider allowing for a third-party app if you want to sync photos from more than computer, or consider a cloud based solution.
